Demar Dorsey to Hawaii
BFeldmanCBS Ex 5-star Michigan DB recruit Demar Dorsey will play for Hawaii this yr. A source confirmed he'll arrive at UH in late July. 5/16/12 1:08 PM |
I know some of you don't really care about updates on recruits that never made it, sorry.
Just thought this was interesting to post since some of you really wanted Hoke to re-recruit him
Good luck to the young man. I can certainly think of worse places to end up playing college football.
Hawaii is worse than GRCC?
Good Luck Demar. It looks like you are keeping your life in order. Maybe, one day, you will get your chance to play in the Big House.
Did I miss your post about the all Big Ten voting results for softball? Some good news there.
Another dream of mine dashed on the rocks of reality. Any word on Antonio Bass? He has some eligibility left, no? /s
Hey -- what about Rojo, has he decided yet? I'm still holding my breath....!
and never was able to recover
If this is true I 'm very happy for Demar. I really would have liked for him to have been able to play for UM, but I am just happy he seems to be making really good progress as far as his life goes. Good luck Demar!
its interesting and good to hear what is going on with him.
There are a lot worse places to land on your feet than Hawaii!
something tells me he didn't go to Hawaii because of their jugernaut program. Whatever the reason, not a bad place to go to college.
He wanted a chance to play football and he wanted to get away from the bad influences that surrounded him in Florida. Part of that disappeared when GRCC closed their football program, now he's about as far from Florida as he can get. Best of luck to the young man.
Wish him success and hope he keeps his school work up so even if nothing happens for him on the field he can be prepared off the field.
Hope the kid makes it, can't wait to finally catch a glimpse of him against some semi-legitimate competition.
Gangstas's dont die, the just move to HAWAII.. WIsh him luck.. Has all talent in world, now lets put it to use
Implementing a no-fly zone at a school that can be reached exclusively by air?
Poor planning.
good thing we got boats.
LLP burned the boats
I laughed but I don't think I should have
I was going to make a Pearl Harbor joke, but I was afraid it might be too explosive.
Maybe if Demar does well enough they'll rename an island Dorsey'i.
I wonder if he'll be doing general studies or if he'll choose something more Pacific.
That's all I've got. Punny != funny, I know.
...by air? I think not.
Reaching Hawaii by kayak, when everyone is expecting arrival by air.
Little known fact: this was Poland's version of the Pearl Harbor attack plan, had it come to that.
...how the Hawaiians themselves arrived after all.
Though I prefer to think that they didn't do it on purpose. They just got really, REALLY lost between Indonesian islands. And the wife is all, "pull over and ask directions," and the guy is like 'no, I got this. This is a shortcut. Quit back-seat steering."
I like the James Michener novel when the dudes get north of the Equator and begin to take note of the North Star for the first time. Must have been pretty radical.
One of my best friends lives on a boat in Waikiki. Looks forward to hurricanes when they can tie the boat up and go stay in a hotel.
My brother-in-law used to live on a ship in Pearl Harbor. "Captain" they called him. And seriously - captain's quarters are pretty nice. Basically a suite.
I'll go ahead and circle
Hawai'i at USC
as yet another game I'll be keeping close tabs on September 1st.
Obligatory Hawai'i-USC clip
for a school like Hawaii.
It'll be interesting to see how they do and if their names turn up at the NFL draft combine in a couple years.
I thought someone said he never made it out to Hawaii...
Good for him. Wish him the best, and it stinks it never worked out at UM.
His ex-coach at GRCC (now HC at FSU, NTFSU) told me he was going to a JC in Kansas... next season after GRCC folded sports. I am happy to see he is landing someplace a little more promising. I inquired about AZ recruiting him to the rivals AZ contact and never heard a response. This kid isn't the best character kid in the world, that is a fact, but he could make a living playing ball and hopefully grow up a little along the way. Good luck to him.
There is some sweetness in you after all. Maybe "His Sweetness" is a part of your future mgoblogging?
Also, I'm happy for this kid. I really hope I hear more of him in the future - regarding his success.
Good for him. I was hoping he wouldn't make his way back to Florida. He needed to stay away from that crowd.
No need to apologize. A lot of us like these updates.
I'll be hanging on to Mick McCabe's email address[email protected] -- to be able to send him one of Demar Dorsey's graduation announcements.
--constant battle against the free press and uncanny ability to hold grudges - even if you yourself, as far as i can tell, have never been personally slighted - is really amazing. im way past the point of being annoyed - now im just thoroughly impressed.
