3 days 3 hours ago | Keegan is OSU's to lose |
We are probably 3rd for him. Stewart's other B1G offers were from Indiana, Maryland, and Rutgers. This is the type of player we use to pick up late (if needed) not 8 months before signing day. Carpenter's other B1G offers are Indiana, Maryland, Rutgers, Minny, and NW. I would like to think that we should be recruiting against OSU, PSU, and Wisconsin. |
6 days 6 hours ago | He said he lost all his scholarship offers |
so it had to be his HS coach. The doctors didn't tell the coach anything because most HS are lucky to be able to afford an AT yet alone a doctor. I won't say what I think of those who recruited him if he felt it that necessary to play in that much pain to maintain a scholarship offer. It also makes you wonder where were the parents? Mine would have benched me immediately if I was in that much pain. |
1 week 4 hours ago | Good landing spot? |
Unless Kelly is changing the offense he has run in college this is the equivalent of Threet at QB with RichRod. |
1 week 1 day ago | Serviceable? |
That's a matter of opinion. If you have hardly seen the floor in two years you are probably in over your head. Fouling out in 7 seven minutes against Detroit Mercy (Mo didn't play so he was the backup) indicates that to me. That is just my take. I do hope Austin proves me wrong next season it would be good for the team. |
1 week 1 day ago | That didn't stop us from playing Mo |
Same situation, you have an advantage on one end and a disadvantage on the other. If he is the 215 (Mo listed at 210 when recruited) he is listed at it should be relatively easy to put 15-20 lbs on him before next basketball season. That would put him relatively close to Mo"s listed size now. Teske played as a freshman and he was listed at 210 coming in. |

the team is in trouble. Unless he improves leaps and bounds from where he is now after two years in the program. |
2 weeks 1 day ago | If basketball has the same rules as football |
wouldn't that eliminate them from recruiting Tyrese since he wasn't hired as a coach Or does that rule only apply to football. |
2 weeks 5 days ago | Some interesting changes |
Kekoa now 41, Kareem 46, Shea and Oliver Martin both 2, and 3 offensive players wearing 5. |
5 weeks 6 days ago | Would have been good enough this year? |
Did you see us struggle against Cincy, Air Force, and Purdue while he was at the helm? And those teams compare to Auburn, Alabama, and LSU how? |

Need I remind you you of the ACC/B1G challenge. |

12 weeks 5 hours ago | Did you look at the chart? |
Except for coaching change years there is only one year I can remember Michigan taking more 3 stars then 4 stars, RR in 2010. Furthermore, these aren't high 3 stars they are primarily middle down (composite 3 stars start at 370) and we have more players ranked 600 and below then I can ever remember. Basically we need over half our recruiting class to exceed their rankings. If Otis Reese stays with his verbal he is Michigan's highest ranked recruit. Ohio State has 11 guys ranked ahead of him. In the top 250 its 18 to 6 for OSU. |
12 weeks 1 day ago | Why do you think posters are trolls? |
Because they don't agree with your so well informed opinions? The bottom line is that since the ranking system came into effect there has only been one non coaching change year that Michigan had taken more three stars than four stars, RR in 2010. Quite frankly, I expect more from Harbaugh and his highly paid staff. When you are trying to catch your arch rival and they only have to count on their recruits performing close to their rankins and you need yours to exceed theirs you are fighting an uphill battle. If you're fine with 8-4 and third or fourth in your division then by all means be satisfied with this recruiting class. If you expect more I see nothing wrong with voicing displeasure. If you want to be the leaders and best it starts in recruiting because stars do matter. It doesn't mean I still don't believe Harbaugh is the best coach for the team because I do. I just want the program to get back to the days when they were a perennial contender for the conference championship. Next year's recruiting class has stated out fantastic and I would rather see the team keep some fifth year guys around or give one year scholarships to some walk ons instead of taking on a bunch of plan B guys, but that's my personal opinion. |
13 weeks 11 hours ago | Why don't you like PSU at night? |
Hoke beat Franklin at night in the Big House. We aren't playing them in Happy Valley this year. We should beat Nebraska without the benefit of the night crowd. |
13 weeks 11 hours ago | Take the good with the bad |
McGrone's composite is 181 and Hutchinson is at 195. If we take the good with the bad 247 has Spider in the 460's while he's at 152 composite. 247 also isn't as high on Muhammad. |
13 weeks 11 hours ago | Mayfield actually dropped |
was at 100. |
13 weeks 1 day ago | Georgia and Bama |
Georgia's 9 Power 5 teams on the schedule combined for 60 wins last year and Bamas combined for 64. Each play one 10 win team from this year, Auburn. Georgia OOC Austin Peay, Middle Tennessee State, UMass, and Georgia Tech. Bama's OOC Louisville, Arkansas State, Louisiana Lafayette, and the Citadel. Our 10 Power 5 teams combined for 83 wins and the team plays 6 10 win teams from last year including 3 in a row with a bye between the 2nd and 3rd game. Needless to say, we are not competing on a level playing field. |

13 weeks 5 days ago | Coming back did that |
He won't even be the first Sparty drafted if Jackson comes out. |
13 weeks 6 days ago | Doubt Tate would stay |
He's made his feelings know and I'm sure there are plenty of schools that would take him. I would hate to see at Nebraska not that I think he would go there. Can you imagine him with Chip Kelly? |
13 weeks 6 days ago | This class will not finish top 15 |
unless Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, and UCLA can't find enough players. Texas A&M may also pass us as they currently only have 14 commits. |
13 weeks 6 days ago | Steele's system is garbage |
I would rather have a returning starter that was a sophomore than a first year starting senior. Notice that out of the three youngest teams only one won less than 10 games. One of them beat us at home. So please continue with the excuses. |
14 weeks 2 days ago | You realize if Gray commits |
that gives us 8 three stars that are composite 600+ when composite three stars start at 370 this year. I don't think any of them are Baker Mayfield and that leaves most of them 200 spots below evryone on that list except Baker. If Doyle signs that would give us two more in the 500s and another in the 490s. Hopefully they pan out, but that's counting on a high hit rate for mid to low three stars. |
14 weeks 2 days ago | Not a high three star |
they start at 370 on the 247 composite and he is 681. Ranked 17th best in the state with 4 DBs ranked ahead of him. 2 going to State, 1 to Kentucky, and 1 to Wisconsin. Michigan doesn't usually recruit the 17th best player in the state especially in a year with only 7 four stars in the state. |
14 weeks 2 days ago | Huge difference between |
high three stars and low three stars. 247 composite three stars start at 370 and if Gray commits it would give Michigan 8 players ranked 600 or below in the nation and 11 3 stars overall not including Doyle who hasn't signed yet. OSU has 3 composite three stars with one below 600. Alabama also has three composite three stars and the only one below 600 is a punter. Not sure where you came up with your numbers, but nice try cherry picking stats to make this years recruiting sound better then it is. The only time Michigan has recruited more three stars than four stars is 2010, 2011, and 2015 which represent RR's last full year of recruiting and our last two coaching transition years. For it to happen in Harbaugh's third year is mind boggling to me. |
14 weeks 3 days ago | Andy Reid called the plays until December |
Nagy was OC in name only except for the last 5 weeks. So hiring a guy who was actually a coordinator for five weeks is a better move then hiring Patricia who has been a D coordinator for six seasons and also worked as an assistant to Dante Scarnecchia who is a very good Oline coach for the Pats. Interesting take and I realize that Pats coordinators have not been successful moving on to HC gigs. |
14 weeks 3 days ago | MSU ranked 12th out of 14 |
only Indiana and Nebraska behind it. |
