Ya know, I’ve wanted Juwan Howard gone for a while, but I gotta say; I feel bad for the man and his epic failure.
Reading the things about Jett and Juwan’s interactions is truly sad. I can see why Jett seriously considered Tennessee. He’s had to live with his father’s volcanic temper eruptions for a lifetime
Sure, it was a tough season. However, finishing up early like this give the young men a chance to get an early look, an early opportunity at camp Sanderson. Maybe get a little jumpstart towards next season.
oh no, that’s not gonna happen is it. Sanderson is another victim of Fightin’ Juwan Howard’s slugfest to the cellar of college basketball
OSU gonna be very good…. Again…. There is a reason fans storm the field when we beat those guys. Biakabatuka, Woodson, Jamie Morris, Jim Harbaugh, Aidan Hutchinson; Hassan Haskins,Rod Moore, Mikey Sainristil, Donovan Edwards, JJ McCarthy are among the legends who are legendary because of what they did against the Buckeyes
Juwan Howard 100% coming back. Basing this on how he fields questions from media. Gonna be a benefit of the doubt here, because of his health issues. Will be a benefit of the doubt year, because of his health issues.
Being a person who thought he should’ve been gone after the Wisconsin meltdown, his second meltdown on the court, preceded by the meltdown in the Big Ten tournament against Maryland. I’m not exactly thrilled with this.
I agree with you. It wasn’t the greatest play of the season but it was the biggest play of the season. There was such, sudden, euphoric, finality to that play, and it played out in such glorious, unknowable fashion. Watching it play out in seeming slow motion was incredible. The stadium paused to watch, everyone on edge, then the stadium exploded into pure, joyful, pandemonium.
It will never be considered top play of the year, or even that game, but Mason Graham’s TFL on 2nd and goal from the 9 against Alabama was iconic for me. That was the play that convinced me M was going to get it done.
Jesus, just opening the website, seeing Kenneth Grant, immediately made me think the worst.
I will say, since he’s got a natty in his back pocket, hallelujah, that tempers the likelihood of the grass looking greener elsewhere. Plus he probably only playing one more season, and likely can finish his degree at Michigan. All good reasons, in my mind to stay the course with his fellow, amazing, 2021 class brothers. I mean; here’s a young man that stayed the course in his recruitment when the under achieving (for now) buckeyes came a courtin’
Alex lost me with avoiding the main reason Howard should be gone: Howard’s uncontrollable rage. The embarrassing scene against Maryland wasn’t mentioned. Howard’s first psychotic episode where he had to be restrained. The most egregious: Howard strikes opposing coach in handshake line. The handshake line!! Alex shrugged this off as a slapstick hit to the “noggin”. It was far more. The sad fallout with Sanderson falls under “shenanigans”. It was far more than that. Lastly, the volcanic rage, reared again in embarrassing fashion when Howard seethed “shit works”.
Doesn’t burn bridge for me. Do as you like Velazquez. Not sure why this stuff is a big deal now-a-days. Been going on in Bball for a while with Spike, Bielfeldt, hell, good ol’ Dakisch (sp) to Ohio State. Adapt or cry is my mantra for this board.
Y’all can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Harbaugh is first coach in history to take some assistants with him to new job. Unprecedented
Coaches look at it different than fans. There’s probably 1 billion illustrations. Jack Harbaugh was only at Michigan for a couple years. How about Greg Mattison? He was a very good coach, but loyal to nobody. Nick Saban, anyone? Until a coach gets to his long-term landing spot, and some of them never do, moving around is just part of the job, part of the occupation,
it’s Coach Moore’s job to go out and find some good coaches. Not an unusual, or overwhelming task
Cool to see Corum end his OT touchdown going through numbers 1 and 2 and 3; ‘Bama’s 3 All Americans in the secondary.
I particularly like this version:
Not screwing over Clink, Elston, Herbert, (or whatever his name is; already forgot) and others. I think part of Coach Harbaugh rationale is getting all those guys raises.
Good for Jay Harbaugh too. Get some different exposure.
On the other hand, I’m much less sympathetic to Cade McNamara. Self concerned leadership isn’t truly leadership. I would guess Cade didn’t enjoy M winning a Natty.
Good chance Denegal has a degree after 3 years. Orjii too. both would have two seasons, left if they want them.
personally, I hope they roll with what they have. I don’t want Michigan ever to be in a position similar to Ohio State and Ryan Day, where the feeling is they have to win every game or they are failures.
I had to click on your thread because I didn’t have a clue of what you could be bitter about. One of the blessings of not being on social media, I guess, and not watching Talking Heads talk sports. Not the literal Talking Heads, because I would love to hear them, talk sports.
I actually rejoice in the bitterness on the other side of the coin. Let them cry, I say! Let them call us cheaters! I revel in that shit
Minor technicality but Bo didn’t run the Wishbone.
If I remember correctly it was: two tight ends and a balanced line; Huckleby deep, Davis close, Ricky “the Peach” Leach under center; the ball resting 18 yards in, from this, the western sideline.
That is what Bob Ufer told me on the transistor radio
Those who stay 6 years, might win 3 Big Ten Championships, play in 4 playoff games, send Nick Saban out with a loss, send Kalen DeBoer to Alabama, and win a National Championship. Not too shabby. One of my all time favorites. Thank you Michael Barrett.
Turns out Mike Barrett’s mom was right when she yelled from the stands at the end of the Georgia game: “put Mike Barrett in the game; put Mike Barrett in the game”. At least that’s the story Doug Karsch tells
I forgot to mention; Beat The Ohio State University 3 times in a row
Would not be surprised to see Mike Hart at Alabama. He went on and on about all his close friends on UW staff, DeBoer, as well as his best friend; Nick Sheridan.
Or, less likely, he’s interviewing for Washington job, or a place on that staff
yeah ok, whatever you want to believe. Of teams in last stage empire decline, OSU is not on my list. I’m more concerned about M’s precarious future. Coach Harbaugh probably leaving; definitely leaving if M wins Natty. NCAA seems determined to punish M. Maybe this lessens when Coach Harbaugh leaves for NFL
You sound like OSU fans after loss in 2021 proclaiming M was losing everyone and 2022 OSU would give them what for. Your 10,000 foot view of OSU’s program, forgive me if I’m brash, seems grounded in mush.
On a side note, getting away from goofball fans. The most inspiring moment of M v OSU 2023, as a spectator, was seeing M and OSU players giving respectful hugs during the Zack Zinter painful ordeal. Lot of class shown by both teams.
Might have some mutual entitlement going on. Rumor has it McCord, and principally his father, were looking for assurances Kyle McCord would be the starting QB at OSU next season. Based on McCord’s season, and other, possible upgrades, on the roster and through the portal, Day wasn’t ready to comply.
Coming into 2023, Harbaugh had no issue saying JJ was the starter; JJ earned that. Coming into 2022, Ryan Day had no problems saying CJ Stroud was his starter. Stroud earned that. I don’t feel McCord had put himself far above other OSU possible 2024 QB’s.
I have no dog in this fight, but this Quattro fellow appears to have a horrible internet personality. Right up there with the Sommy fellow who was banned for screaming at everyone something like: “2021 Michigan is a terrible football team” in real time. People are strange. Sure buddy, we all love hearing your distorted views ad-nauseam.
Don’t know if I’m obtuse. your question wasn’t directed at me. However……. I have no idea what you are trying to say. I’ve read your post 5 times; it makes no sense to me

Thanks. Def not working mobile. I’m about 100% posting mobile
Ahhh that’s rights. Weird they were playing UCLA so early. That was a tough game to watch. M did not play well.
Temple game was the one Coach Chaney sent a kid out on the court to deliberately try to hurt Chris Webber. Fuck Chaney.
Also Indiana State by a dozen. They don’t beat Indiana State their fates might be reversed

Wish I new how to post YouTube clip in post, Alas, I don’t
How about this forgotten gem. Jimmy King put back to get M to second consecutive Final Four!! Jim Harrick was livid.
I think he needs to be tested every day for the next two years In order to keep his job. He doesn’t wanna do that? Time to part ways
Um, stupid, ignorant headline… Spartoon?? quinn? Just dumb

Don’t worry. Happens to me a lot. I type some words then peeps respond critically to things I never typed. Gremlins I tell ya.
Very good reading. Thank you.
Unfortunately anyone thinking OSU’s defense is a paper tiger is in for a rude awakening. That’s going to be a fantastic D.
if Ohio State is able to figure out their offense, there’s a good chance they’re going to win a national championship next year
Guess you thought wrong

Alex lost me…
Good recap.

Old School, Literally

Do it!!!!!
Marcus Ray probably available too. I haven’t heard his “Rays of Light” in a while. Sam Webb finally had to stop giving him air time
CHARLES WOODSON
Possibly not going to be popular, but he can recruit. How’s about Mel Tucker. Big House could become biggest woodshed in the country.
Coaches look at it different than fans. There’s probably 1 billion illustrations. Jack Harbaugh was only at Michigan for a couple years. How about Greg Mattison? There was an an OL transferred to OSU. That was back in the dark ages.
Too difficult for me to embed with pic so I give up
Cool to see Corum end his OT touchdown going through numbers 1 and 2 and 3; ‘Bama’s 3 All Americans in the secondary.

Partridge to Chargers makes perfect sense
Good chance Denegal has a degree after 3 years. Orjii too. both would have two seasons, left if they want them.
personally, I hope they roll with what they have. I don’t want Michigan ever to be in a position similar to Ohio State and Ryan Day, where the feeling is they have to win every game or they are failures.
And…. You’re pretty much the gold standard for rating championship caliber coordinators: level headed; unemotional;knowledgeable; fair minded.
Since I double post, I will add some content. Harbaugh quote from post game. Bet Harbaugh has some memories

Kris Jenkins agrees; Ohio State would have one with MHJR and McCord.
hope latest bulletin board material works as well as this. Hartline and Day were going to extract revenge
what would they think if Michigan planted flag in the middle of Alabama field?
You funny
