CFB Week Three Schedule - is there anything beside Michigan worth watching?
Week three of the season is upon us and this week's schedule may actually be less compelling than the firs two weeks. Who will you be watching / following? Any games of particular interest? Anything you're looking forward to seeing?
There are a number of B1G vs ACC games on the schedule - which is interesting.
Michigan hosts Bowling Green for a 7:30 pm kickoff on BTN
Tennessee travels to Florida - it could be the Joe Milton show
Minnesota travels to North Carolina - how far can the boat be rowed?
Ohio State hosts Western Kentucky before their matchup against ND next weekend
Bama travels to USF
Penn State goes to Illinois
Washington travels to East Lansing for Dantonio's return to the staff
Colorado and Coach Prime face Colorado State and the Buffs should move to 3-0 on the season.
Northern Illinois plays at Nebraska as the Huskers try to avoid an 0-3 start for Ruhle
Any other games of interest?

Ohio state vs WKU, I really think it it will be a tight first half before Ohio state pulls away.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:31 PM ^
Western Kentucky smacked USF, for whatever that's worth. Looks like they can sling it around.
September 13th, 2023 at 6:22 PM ^
Malachi Corley is a beast if he is available for the OSU game, knocked out in season opener.
September 13th, 2023 at 6:27 PM ^
WKU's gonna pass the ball on OSU, but it looks like their run defense is their biggest liability:
September 13th, 2023 at 7:15 PM ^
Am I reading this right? OSU is 112th (36.4%) on 3rd/4th down success rate? After playing IU and YSU? Can’t see them beating ND in 2 weeks if that continues.
September 13th, 2023 at 8:12 PM ^
They were going for it on fourth a lot last weekend. Fun to watch.
September 13th, 2023 at 7:30 PM ^
So OSU's 3rd down power rush game is going to shine Saturday?
September 13th, 2023 at 8:13 PM ^
There is no power in OSU's 3rd down rush game.
September 13th, 2023 at 9:43 PM ^
Those used to be maddeningly automatic.
September 13th, 2023 at 9:43 PM ^
double post
September 14th, 2023 at 7:53 PM ^
Woody is spinning in his grave.
September 13th, 2023 at 8:14 PM ^
131st in field position? Sheesh. I didn’t think there were that many schools- I guess there are 133 this year. Ouch.
September 14th, 2023 at 5:38 PM ^
The OP mentioned Colorado and Coach Prime...better be careful, certain people will lose their shit for even mentioning them and him.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:12 PM ^
the michigan state game, for sure -- just to see how it all plays out.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:24 PM ^
Bama travels to USF
wait. wut
September 13th, 2023 at 5:29 PM ^
...at Raymond James Stadium not on campus
September 13th, 2023 at 6:07 PM ^
There is no campus stadium right now .They just got approval to build a 35k seat stadium on campus
September 13th, 2023 at 6:11 PM ^
This. USF has never had a football stadium of their own, to my knowledge. They've always played their home games at Raymond James.
September 14th, 2023 at 1:52 PM ^
Opening up the upper deck at Ray Jay for all the Bama fans.
September 14th, 2023 at 8:03 AM ^
Yeah, that was really weird when I first saw it (Bama at USF). I *assume* that Bama is doing this to give themselves a free recruiting preview weekend in front of a lot of Florida talent. I honestly can't think of any other reason this would be happening.

Penix is a dawg and 2016-2019+3 yrs retired Dantonio can do nothing to stop him.
September 13th, 2023 at 10:02 PM ^
Michael Penix has thrown for just over a thousand yards against MSU in his career. Each game he's thrown for more than in the previous. I'm expecting 450 passing yards and four touchdowns this weekend.
September 13th, 2023 at 10:31 PM ^
For two weeks in a row, a Penix will be MSU's worst nightmare.
MSU historically cannot keep Penix in the pocket.
Too bad Mel isn't there for this game, word is he now really has a grasp on how to handle Penix.
The defense better be ready because with Penix you're in trouble if you just phone it in.
Maybe Dantonio can install a couple wrinkles for Penix. We know Mel couldn't keep Penix from spraying it around.
(ok, I'm done for a while)
September 13th, 2023 at 6:17 PM ^
I would love to see MSU get “spanked” by 40 points and would happily watch every play.
I am reminded of the scene in gladiator. People should know when they are conquered.

I would like to see Spartan will broken.
September 13th, 2023 at 7:36 PM ^
Yep, break their will and let the spartan empire fall. Hopefully, their stadium will be half empty, that will mark the demise of spartan football.
September 14th, 2023 at 10:16 AM ^
They 100% deserve every beat down they get and I'll love every second of it.
September 14th, 2023 at 7:56 PM ^
Sometimes you spank the Penix. Sometimes the Penix spanks you.....
September 13th, 2023 at 6:30 PM ^
Backyard Brawl, Pitt @ West Virginia
Too bad it’s the same time as the UM game.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:16 PM ^
Watching Washington thrash Sparty into submission is must-see TV.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:17 PM ^
SC-UGA might be decent
September 13th, 2023 at 5:28 PM ^
27.5 spread
September 16th, 2023 at 4:31 PM ^
Greetings
September 13th, 2023 at 6:12 PM ^
Considering how bad SC lost to UNC a couple weeks ago, coupled with UNC's near loss to App State, I think the 27 point spread is appropriate.
September 14th, 2023 at 10:19 AM ^
I’ll take UGA giving the points
September 13th, 2023 at 5:18 PM ^
watching penix jr shred sparty should be fun. couch burning warning in effect in EL. it is one of the worst line up of games I can remember. that said, always worth score board watching in cfb on saturday.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:23 PM ^
I'm fairly certain Tucker could have beat Penix. I think he had a game plan in place. Whether Dantonio can beat Penix remains to be seen.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:32 PM ^
Tucker certainly would have made some calls that would have yanked Penix around - perhaps until he was finished
September 13th, 2023 at 10:55 PM ^
Yeah but that would only be for the first 36 minutes or so. With ads the games are 3 hours so he'd be tuggered out the final 2.5 hrs.
September 13th, 2023 at 9:08 PM ^
Tucker told me over the phone that he was hammering Penix, but that it was consensual.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:18 PM ^
K-State @ Missouri actually looks good, but on SECN.
BYU @ Arkansas could be good?
September 13th, 2023 at 5:28 PM ^
Penn State and Minnesota on the road could be interesting although Bert's team has not looked good thus far.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:39 PM ^
All of it is worth watching IMO. The season will be over before you know it. Soak it in.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:59 PM ^
This is the correct answer. Miami vs. Bethune-Cookman? This'll still be me
September 14th, 2023 at 7:47 AM ^
I will be at Albion to watch my grandson play his first college game -- he plays Center. But I'll be home in time for most of the late afternoon games and. Of course, Michigan.
Go Brits! And Go Blue!
September 13th, 2023 at 5:47 PM ^
week 3 is a snooze fest but its preparing us for the insane slate in week 4. Theres a potential 16 top 25 teams playing each other. Cant wait for week 4!
September 13th, 2023 at 6:49 PM ^
false. not a lot of top 25 teams playing each other but we don’t really know who the top 25 teams are 2 weeks into the year. On top of already named games ….
LSU v Miss St
IU v Louisville (rivalry games are always fun)
Backyard Brawl
Rocky Mountain Showdown (for the Centennial Cup)
September 13th, 2023 at 5:49 PM ^
Rutgers hosting VT can give us a sense of how good RU is, likewise friday night Maryland host UVA and can do the same
Before the season I was excited about PSU-Illinois. Less so now, but still probablly the best competition Allar has faced, and on the road.
I think most of us expect Washington to steamroll Sparty, but we'll get a good sense of each team there
UGA gets their first conference game against a decent SCAR
Backyard Brawl is the ABC primetime game, Cuse @Purdue was fun last year and is NBC's "B10 Sat Night" game.
But yea, relatively slim pickings but I'm sure something crazy will happen that will change our thoughts on the season.
September 13th, 2023 at 5:50 PM ^
It's college football, some chaotic nonsense will happen.
September 13th, 2023 at 6:08 PM ^
I try and watch the last 5 minutes of every one-score game, no matter what the teams are. Its pretty entertaining.
