Essentially, we recognize that every now and then [the state of] Ohio produces something worthwhile- which we proceed to rescue by bringing it back up north.
More seriously, anybody that frequents this blog knows all of the important coaches and athletes that have come to Michigan from Ohio. We recognize that without pilfering the buckeye state, Michigan wouldn't be in the position it is today. We accept this though because by doing so we hurt our mortal enemies not only be depriving them of strength but by then using that same strength against them.
Thus, we appreciate Ohio- as long as it's the bits of Ohio that have had enough sense to move up north.
I, an many other MGoBloggers, enjoy the perspective of a rational OSU fan. Thus, I'd encourage you to keep posting.

I agree, I would like to see him stay as well. Unfortunately, he’ll likely get dissuaded by all the clever “lol, cooler pooper” and “O$U sux!” comments he gets.
April 10th, 2012 at 11:41 PM ^
Haha, nah. If I got offended by comments like "you poop in a cooler" then it would likely mean that I do, in fact, poop in a cooler and hate being called out on it.
Disclaimer--I don't poop in coolers.

But If you were in a bind, I'm guessing your fandom would lead you to pack an Igloo in a pinch...
Pinch. See what I did there?

Well, they obviousely committed to Michigan so they can learn to read good. sheesh.

The ones that can read come to A2.
...it's liking ohio and/or going to school there that really scrambles your brain. Plenty of Michigan Men have been born all over the country, Ohio included, but they weren't ohio fans.

Even LeBron hates Ohio.
April 11th, 2012 at 12:51 PM ^
A good point. I would also like to point out that for probably 99% of the rest of the world, no distinction is made between the states of Michigan and Ohio. They're just failing rust belt states where it's vaguely cold and the people there are kinda the same.
Just sayin' from an outside perspective.

Oh Ace, Ace, wherefore art thou Ace?

He’s denying his father and refusing his name this very second, I bet.

Bolden 2.0? Relatively under the radar guy with sound technique that hits like a truck. Also similar size. There's a long time for him to climb some recruiting rankings as well.
April 10th, 2012 at 11:10 PM ^
He is a lot like Bolden - a tough, heady inside linebacker with similar size. And he's about where Bolden was ranked, maybe a little higher, before Bolden blew up at the UA All-America game. Hopefully he proves he's as good as Bolden is.
He is absurdly fast for his size. He is breaking runs and out-pacing CBs and Ss. And he's still just a junior? He has Brian Urlacher athleticism potential.
Quite frankly, it isn't fair for a man that size to be that fast.
Is that you?

This also has the potential to be the best class in Michigan football history. I think 2005 was 2nd in the country.
April 10th, 2012 at 11:40 PM ^
I don't know -- the 1898 class was pretty killer.
I love this class, too, but these kinds of statements are a little ridiculous.
April 11th, 2012 at 12:18 AM ^
I'm not saying it's a done deal or anything, but based on who we have and who we could likely get, that statement's not exactly a stretch.
The 1998 class with Henson, Terrell, and Fargas was ranked #1 in the country by a number of publications if I remember correctly. I know that recruiting services were far different at the time, so caveats apply.

says he is a high-character kid and very smart academically. It also says academics played a role in his decision, which help explains his migration out of Ohio. Great get. Welcome Ben!!!
They might not say that he's low character, but they sometimes avoid saying another at all about character.

Hopefully Levenberry feels the pressure from Michael Hutchins renewed interest.
Pressure and Time? That and a big goddamn poster.
April 10th, 2012 at 11:26 PM ^
I think the coaches are trying to recruit 3 linebackers in each class..one for each position. They did last year and it seems to be what they are trying to do this year.
April 11th, 2012 at 12:29 AM ^
Bro, you're sample size is 2 years. If Levenberry wasn't such a stud, I'm sure the coaches would be quite content with just 2 LBs in this class.
Bro, ewe have no idea who the coaches wood recruit if Levenberry wasn't such a stud.

Due U no?

For some reason I thought we already had him. But yay! Another 4*!
For the record, we now have 13 commits included in the Rivlas 250.Those with the next most are Ohio, Florida, Texas and Bama each with 7.
....Happy Easter to you as well !! jt
1. OHIO guy who choose us.
2. Meyer wanted him bad.
3. Shows the Ohio kids that Mich is a better place for those guys.
4. Gonna be a beast.
5. Big time prospect and a great kid
6. HE SPURNED THE BUCKEYES!
7. Another example of kids seeing through Meyer and his slick talking crap.
I really believe Meyer thinks those "Midwest" kids are stupid and can't see through his games. Hopefully Treadwell Isaac and the others see this too!!

No Denard and Roy dancing?
I remember about a year ago Sam Webb doing a recruiting article on DetNews about this stud linebacker from Ohio, Ben Gedeon. Little did I know at the time he would eventually be a verbal committment to Michigan. Awesome to see it finally happen.
Now my head can spin on Saturday!

Welcome to the Fold!
Brady Hoke continues to impress the people in ohio with what he brings to the table . . . a Straight Shooter!
April 11th, 2012 at 12:49 PM ^
Good pickup for you guys. He's an intelligent kid with a lot of athleticism. He'll be a player.
