How many of the starters at MSU last year were underclassmen? I don't think people realize really how young and inexperienced the core of Michigan's team was last year, having experience and the natural development of being a 19 year old kid and a 22 year old man are a big difference.
And when's Rojo's presser, heard he's blue for sure! But in all honesty best of luck to that kid, if Michigan isn't where he wants to be no shame in that...
But in this situation, I do not blame the kids...I would want to get as far away from that situation as well. I think the reports out of State College of the "Commitment and Unity" will be tested in the coming days
Not just for Michigan fans, but for basketball fans in general...Jalen is a breath of fresh air. Anything is better then listining to Jay Bilas tell me how great Duke and UNC are!
Game Jerseys last year ran 50 bucks... Practice Jerseys ran I think 30-35 Bucks...The real deal to me was the team T shirts tho, All Adidas, All Sizes 5 bucks for each. I got like 4 pairs of Cutter football gloves for like 5 bucks each as well. I will be checking it out again for sure
So far I have been pretty impressed with Bielema and O'Brien. Brett seems like a cool dude and classy as hell. And it looks like Penn State got a good one in O'Brien, that guy has handled this whole situation pretty impressively. Hope, Boeckman and Meyer all came off as slime balls to me.
I would take my time committing to Michigan after looking at the O-line class this year and last...(almost got all the way through typing that without cracking a big smile)
Part of me wishes high profile kids like this would stay put, because I like when we beat good Teams. But I don't like to share, and I'm still bitter over 97, so "Meh" who cares!
Against a an Alabama defense? That's setting the bar pretty high for the first game don't ya think? When's the last time a Nick Saban D gave up that many yards?
If everything at OSU is incentive-based now, what will the players get after a win? and better yet can we get Mark Hollis to tweet this article to the NCAA people?
They call it unofficial, because the times nfl network are initially given are hand timed, which are usually faster then the later released laser times.
I was excited with the 2012 class, but these 2013 kids are perfect compliments to those guy... How fun will it be to see these kids compete for starts?
This is getting Blown WAY out of proportion...Basically, There was a recruiting seminar, With MSU, U M, And several other smaller Schools, (Mac Schools, Miaa and NAIA Schools). Hoke was not there (We were told he was accepting a "Coach of the year" award) So they had A Recruiting coordinator talk in Hoke spot. Dantonio was first to speak, was very general...Spoke very little, and I must say The MSU guys have been nothing by 1st class at all the MHSFCA clinics I have been to (8th straight year) The U M guy goes next...Starts giving essentially the same speach Hoke gave in his Interview when he got hired (Only this guy was acting like he Was Hoke), he was going on and on, repeating the same stuff over and over (Let me remind you all this was a "Rectuiting round table" with several other coaches).
Finally after what seemed like forever of this guy talking, Dantonio Says, "Hey maybe you should give the other their time to talk" The Michigan Coach is visibly offended...And says something back like "Hey Ill talk as long as I want to"...Dantonio then goes.."lets do it this way...(And says to the crowd) How many coaches here have kids who are Big Ten quality kids??? (Two coaches raise thier hands out of a room full of coaches), to which Dantonio says, "Then we should let the other guys have a chance to talk with these coaches"
Im not kiddin it really wasnt that big of a deal, I recieved texts all day asking about the incident and I really didnt see all that wrong with it...Anyone who has ever been to a coaches clinic knows these kind of confrotations are normal...Had it not been a UM-MSU thing nothing would have been made of it...
I dont think the 150+ days is the same preperation wise for Saban against Michigan...Lsu is a confrence opponet that they had already played once, who they are very familiar with( I think that had alot to do with the success of Nick Sabans game planning). As for the '12 opener, I think Bama and Michigan both will be drasctiaclly different come September then they were the last times we saw them play. Giving neither team much advantage in the way of scouting or preperation...
Seems like there would be a slight conflict of interest...No matter the level, some parents just cant seperate their kids from reality. There was nothing LSU or Les Miles could have done last night personnel wise that would have made a difference. 44 days is way to many for Nick Saban to prepare for any college football team.
