Can anyone find a link to the press conference? It should be epic.

Because you can't have one without the other.

Now that is an embarassment.

They only had one other win over a BCS autoqualifier, and that was Alabama in 2007, when Bama went 7-6.
September 8th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
Arkansas was up 2 tds' when that happened. The Hogs also lost two other starters.

I cannot wait for the SEC slappies in sports media to spin this loss as proof of the league's dominance.
September 9th, 2012 at 12:44 AM ^
They wil acknowledge the "heroic" effort put forth by a team competing in an "SEC environment" and then diminish the win with details of player injuries and/or turnovers causing the outcome.
They will then show that Arkansas outplayed their opponent statistically and though the scoreboard may prove different the SEC was, really, the winner here.
September 9th, 2012 at 1:00 AM ^
I heard Arkansas got out-gained by 200 yards. LOL

...who wants a preview of TWIS Tears Award can head on over to an Arkansas message board.
September 9th, 2012 at 12:34 AM ^
is going to be great. Between the Arkansas, Nebraska, & Wisconsin losses; Penn State's kicking heartbreak; & Missou and Texas A&M's harsh welcomes to the SEC there is going to be a ton of great stuff for TWIS this week. I can't wait.

AT HOME! lmfao. Hope Mizzou pulls it off against Georgia, too. I know South Carolina, Arrr-kansas, and Georgia are overrated this year, but until they lose they stay in the top 10. *facepalm* If we were top 10 and lost to the best in the country and dropped to 19 then they should go unranked now having lost at home to a Sun Belt team.

Remember how Brent Musberger kept saying how Alabama was not going to get tested until they play Arkansas?
I guess not so much...

Horror'd
September 9th, 2012 at 12:37 AM ^
We're making that a verb/adjective now? Nice! I'd give you an upvote if I had the points to do so! I love seeing an SEC team choke.
Anyone notice how ARK was #8 this week? If the #8 team next week loses, there's apparently a curse on the slot in the standings this year.

I had the very same thought last night watching the overtime. Regardless, I am thankful to have football back so that we can have such inane discussions.

John L Smith still coaches the same as allways

Just an FYI, UL-Monroe beat Alabama in Nick Saban's first year back in 2007. This loss will not dent the SEC's image one bit. No one talks about that Bama loss anymore. It will be forgotten by years end when the media is talking up how awesome the SEC is.
September 9th, 2012 at 7:34 AM ^
Arkansas always gets grouped in with the tops of the SEC but, honestly if you're not talking about Alabama , LSU and Florida ( Urban meyer/ Tebow years) They are just average teams.

September 8th, 2012 at 11:21 PM ^
they will blame it on John L. Smiths time in the Big Ten.
September 8th, 2012 at 11:24 PM ^
God Bless Johnelle Smith, and God Bless America.
September 8th, 2012 at 11:24 PM ^
John L left the field without shaking hands with the ULM coach. Integrity at its finest.
September 8th, 2012 at 11:32 PM ^
Yeah I was watching the end of the game and the ULM coach was looking around for him but he had bolted already.
September 9th, 2012 at 12:22 PM ^
To be fair to John L. he probably forgets that someone was crazy enough to allow him to be the HC.
September 8th, 2012 at 11:28 PM ^
Suck it, SEC.
September 8th, 2012 at 11:32 PM ^
Arkyyyyyy Nooooo to the SEC
September 8th, 2012 at 11:35 PM ^
Did anyone see the state trooper hugging the ULM coach after the winning touchdown? lmao
September 8th, 2012 at 11:37 PM ^
ESPN of course has the Wisconsin loss next to Arkansas on the front page as "upsets". Becuase you know, losing to another BCS school clearly the same as losing to the Sun Belt...
