Harbaugh has really united the fanbase. He's going as a guest of a Republican and a Democrat. I'd love to see Obama end the address by saying "Whooooooo's got it better than us?!"

This is indeed an honor, and it seems as if already we can ask, "What hasn't Harbaugh been invited to?" The recognition of not only him but what he has done in such a short span in Ann Arbor almost literally comes from every corner, even from places where you wouldn't think there would be much attention paid to college football necessarily.

I suppose it is no longer out of order to ask where exactly Jim Harbaugh will be invited to be or speak next.

Make a video of Harbaugh being involved in countless historical events......like Forrest Gump but smart!!!!   He meets every President, one of his sideline tirades inspires a new dance, one of his prophetic tweets inspires a great musician to write a song, he wipes his face on a towel and comes up with the new millenium happy face..................

I would bet his IQ is pretty high. He clearly thinks on his feet very well, has a good vocabulary, grasp of history, and a great sense of context. Combine all of that with his ability to coach a fairly complex game at the highest level, and it's safe to say he's a highly intelligent individual.

And a bit of a savant on top of all of that.

As someone noted above, the Harbaughs will be the guests of two members of Congress, a Dem. and a GOP-er.

For state addresses like this, each member of Congress receives one guest ticket.  Thus, Jim and Sarah needed tickets from two members if they were both to attend.  What a tribute that it was a bipartisan duo.  It is quite an honor.

Preceeded by a satellite camp in the Reflecting Pool because (in Jim Harbaugh's America) you're allowed the cross the state borders.  That's the America he knows...

Idol during its final season because, why not? After that, he offers predraft counsel to the top NFL qb candidates and then is paired with a hot dancer to compete in Dancing with the Stars competition later this year. For the second straight year, he goes to spring training to loosen up his arm for potential relief role in the Tiger organization promotion in Toledo, on Harbaugh Nuight, when the first 5,000 fans to the ballpark get a replica bobblehead of the UM football coach. Who's got it better than him, Nobody!!!!!!!!!

for the inevitable when he is elected Commander in Chief soon after his 5th consectutive NC. I am sure he will also give Michelle a few insider tips on her school lunch program as she clearly has no clue the nutrition value of whole milk and steak the kids are deprived of these days.

I cannot find a comprehensive list of past FB players or coaches invited to to the State of the Union Address.  But based on a cursory google search, I was surprised to find mention of only 3 FB players or coaches who were invitees to the State of the Union.  Two of the three were former Michigan QBs: Tom Brady and Jim Harbaugh.  The other FB player cited was invited mainly because he had Lou Gehrig’s disease.  There must be other FB players or coaches who also were invitees in the past 35 years, either from congress or the POTUS.  But in any case, JH is in pretty select company.

I see all the pics with him and Michelle Obama and Ciara, who is a singer, and I wanted to clarify for those who aren't going to the FREEP article that he is not a guest of the Obama family.

He's the guest of U.S. Reps. Amash (R) and Dingell (D). Amash is also a UM grad FYI.
