11/02/2018 - 12:09pm Sad this even needs to be…

Sad this even needs to be mentioned.  Some of the best memories of my life revolve around that team and that era and they should be embraced.

Welcome home Chris, it's been too long but we're glad your back!  Put the banners back up while your here!

10/16/2018 - 2:26pm Disrespekt...  I'm ignoring…

Disrespekt...  I'm ignoring them and the game and focusing solely on the main rival. Quite a day for OSU schadenfreude with the Bosa news and some recruiting bumps in the road.  This recruiting outlook from 11W should bring smiles:

You cannot overstate the impact of Grant Newsome's knee injury...  it's dramatically changed the outlook for the 2016, 2017 and now 2018 seasons.  Probably the most consequential injury of the past 25 years.

And the biggest recruiting loss in recent memory has to be Isaiah Wilson choosing Georgia.

Imagine a Newsome, Bredeson, Ruiz, Onwenu, Wilson line of athletic maulers...  I think we'd be pre-season # 1 and the favorite in every game on the schedule.

It's a long shot but I hope / kinda think Drake will do the right thing...  recommend firing him and resign in protest when the board overrules his decision.

Hang in there and get well soon!  You should let Urbz co-opt your story...  I think he'll be needing a leave of absence statement in the very near future.

07/02/2018 - 4:04pm Birmingham, MI.  Pros: good…

Birmingham, MI.  Pros: good schools, good restaurants, lots of parks, excellent city services, centrally located within metro Detroit.

Cons: Michigan weather, Dream Cruise.

07/02/2018 - 12:07pm I posted in the Eric Gray…

I posted in the Eric Gray Hello but I think these rankings really demonstrate how useless the ranking services are these days.

Eric Gray - highly scouted, highly productive, almost video game numbers.  Yet Rivals considers him the #21 player in Tennessee, which is not considered to be a major talent producing state.

David Ojabo - just started playing football and played out of position last year but considered to be somewhere between the 6 - 13'th best prospect in NJ, which is considered to be pretty talent rich.

I know there's variance from year to year in talent levels but this just doesn't add up.

07/02/2018 - 11:53am Those Rivals (especially)…

Those Rivals (especially) and ESPN rankings seem preposterous.  Are there really 10 - 20 better prospects in the state of Tennessee?  I believe Michigan is generally considered to be a better talent producing state and there's no chance that the 10'th - 20'th prospect here is on that level.

Must be the day for egregiously bad and totally indefensible court decisions.

So tired of all this recruiting news cluttering up the site...  Hello!  Hello!  Blah blah blah.  I need Risk updates. :)

This was delightful, thanks for sharing.  Maybe a little corny at times but it really got me and not to proud to admit that a few tears were shed.  Luckily wife and kids are still sleeping or I’d never hear the end of it.  The power of music to instantly bring back memories and emotions is just amazing.

Jalen’s a prominent alum whose been successful in two prominent careers and positively reps Michigan all the time.

I hope they can bury the hatchet and be friends again some day.  Hell, even Kobe and Shaq are civil these days.

I loved that team, hang the  banners IMO

06/19/2018 - 2:51pm I agree with your overall…

I agree with your overall take but I think you're severely underrating David Terrell and Amani Toomer.  There's no one on that three star list who could combine with Braylon to outperform them.

06/19/2018 - 2:41pm This is great!  I've watched…

This is great!  I've watched every player over that time period and it's hard to argue with your selections.  For pure talent, I might take Will Peterson at CB over Clark/Stribling but they're the right call from a production and longevity standpoint.

I thought about Shawn Thompson over McKeon at TE but looked up his stats and they're not comparable.

No need to duck on Harris and Dhani over Irons and Morrison.  It's close but David Harris needed to be on the list and Dhani was an amazing all around player.

Grandma took the three little maniacs for a sleepover last night, so enjoying a nice breakfast with my wife before we go pick them up.  Brasil match at 2 and then maybe beat the heat with late afternoon movie.  Happy Fathers Day everyone!

I have same issue.  Well over the 100 point threshold (which hasn’t changed per one of Seth’s comments) but I don’t see any way to upvote/downvote or the voting results for each comment.  I’ve tried multiple browsers with same result.

He seems like such a nice, sweet kid but he's really grown as a leader and totally transformed his body.  He's slimmed down, jacked up and is going to be a monster on the field this year.  Reggie White 2.0

Might be the first time I'm actually rooting for a player to leave early.  He and his mom seem like good people and I'm hoping they get all the rewards that go with being a top 1 - 5 pick.

05/24/2018 - 1:40pm Hawks, Pistons and Cavaliers here...

05/24/2018 - 10:06am Erin Esurance

I enjoyed the Erin Esurance campaign in the mid 2000's.  Apparently I wasn't the only one...  LOL

"Fitted in a leather catsuit and sporting a spunky pink haircut, the 2D-animated secret agent navigated her way through a variety of 30-second national commercial spots. The face of insurance start-up Esurance, she battled giant robots (who represented “overpriced competitors”), scaled her way up buildings, and occasionally took showers on screen for no apparent reason.

Designed to be hip, exciting, and fast-paced, Erin stood for everything Esurance believed in. She was not only the company’s answer to Geico’s ubiquitous gecko, but a formidable marketing tool for recruiting their intended demographic — 18 to 24 year-old males  into insurance policies.

Unfortunately, that demographic liked Erin so much that they made porn of her. Lots of porn. So much porn that, at the height of the mascot’s popularity, 9 of the top 10 image results in an unfiltered Google search for “Erin Esurance” ended up being these amatuer artists’ racy renderings."

05/17/2018 - 1:48pm Scott Frost has been dead to

Scott Frost has been dead to me since January 8, 1998.

05/10/2018 - 2:08pm MJ

I've watched both their careers pretty much fully and the answer is MJ.  LeBron is amazing and might be # 2 but Michael is the greatest.

He terrorized the league and might have put up 8 straight titles in his prime if not for the baseball experiment (gambling suspension?)  Could have been more on the back end if not for Crumbs and Reinsdorf.

05/07/2018 - 3:54pm SVG totally screwed us

We're 5 years away from being 5 years away.  Not good enough to compete but enough talent to avoid rock bottom in the next 3 - 5 years.  We're locked into this roster and don't have the young players or future picks to change it any time soon.

Best case scenario is Reggie stays healthy, the roster gels and they're a threat to reach the second round of playoffs at some point in next 3 years.  Then it likely all falls apart due to age and injury.

Worst case is another few years like the last (just in/just out of the playoffs, picking between 8 - 15 every year) as we wait for the big contracts to expire, and then start to bottom out and rebuild.

It's really hard to see a path to contention any time soon :(

05/02/2018 - 4:08pm Peyton Manning

Never won a big game in college, failed numerous times with loaded teams in the NFL playoffs, got lucky to face a crap Bears team in the Super Bowl and then vultured another title thanks to Denver's defense.

Really good player who put up great stats on talented teams but certainly not the GOAT.  That's Brady and I'd put Elway, Marino, Montana, Aaron Rodgers, probably Favre and possibly Steve Young and Drew Brees before Peyton.

04/17/2018 - 11:54am This is pretty stupid IMO.

This is pretty stupid IMO.  I'm all for making the game safer but it's inherently unsafe and these half measures don't really accomplish anything.  They might as well eliminate kickoffs altogether...  they're only interesting when there's a big return or when someone makes a big mistake deep in their territory.
