I just did a quick review of some tape on all of the incoming recruits. The ceiling for this group is through the roof. With few exceptions, the returnees on this roster are going to be challenged to hold their spots. I believe, by at least mid-season, Kobe will be the first off the bench at the 2-maybe even the 1. Collins will get as much exposure as Juwan feels comfortable with-to get him ready to take over next year. Houstan and Diabate will play major roles this year. And it will be interesting to see how Barnes and Tschetter progress.

I actually thought the 3 pt contest was much better.

Pretty lame that The Wolverine didn't shout out the ladies in the Youtube video title or description at all. This is a team that made it to the Sweet Sixteen and almost upset Baylor in OT. Maddie Nolan took Caleb Houstan to the house in the first round.

That was underwhelming. Good thing this amateur dog’n’pony show wasn’t showcasing core basketball skills. I really want to believe, though…

I can't watch videos at work, so I don't understand.  But it sounds like watching them might not be worth the effort and time.  Which sounds sad...

Makes your realize how hard all of those MJ, JR Smith, Dominique dunks in the 80's were.  I have a hard time dunking on a 7 foot hoop, so there's that...

6 ft and could dunk off 1 foot and 2 feet in high school and through my 20s.  Played club volleyball and it's a combination of muscles groups and depends on the type of jumper you are.

Gliders like Drexler, Pippen, McGrady, Zach Levine, young Ray Allen (better 1 foot jumpers) a lot of the force comes from the calves and quads.  You'll notice they have very thin legs (long achilles as well) up until the calf muscle which is high up on the leg.

Power dunkers (better two foot jumpers) like Dominique, Zion Willamson, Blake Griffin - generally have stronger quads, hamstrings and glutes.

Guys as effective as 1 or 2 foot jumpers like Jordan, Kobe, Kemp generally had an even balance of said muscle distribution.

Obviously in all cases, fast twitch muscles off the charts and strong core.

That was...about what I expected.  I felt bad for the fans who clearly were like "okay, please just dunk at least one of these" toward the end.

As someone who could barely touch rim in my heyday I'm sure this is incredibly difficult but there are a lot of really cool dunks you can pull off without throwing the ball of the backboard or catching it off the bounce or off someone's head.  Like, a nice windmill dunk is pretty awesome and you also aren't trying to coordinate with a bouncing ball.

And yes, please exit my lawn when you're done.

Should have brought the Fab Five back for an exhibition game against some of the current players. That would have been fun to watch.
