11/14/2018 - 9:03pm He certainly has a lot of…

He certainly has a lot of work and development ahead of him. However, I assess him as a 6'8" 360# 17 year old with a ton of potential. I am impressed by his effort...and that goes a very long way at this point in time. If he grows into that body and gets some good coaching-the sky is the limit. A very intriguing prospect.

11/14/2018 - 3:37pm Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you have time to complain you have time to help yourself.

Otherwise:This is intriguing. I was getting the vibe that he was trending elsewhere  Maybe these other OT  prospects that are showing up have caused him to treat Michigan with more seriousness??? It's fine for kids to be "show me" kids...Michigan is sure "showing" plenty...as in 9 in a row and counting plenty.

11/14/2018 - 3:27pm He's an outstanding…

He's an outstanding basketball player. I would be glad to see him stay outside and bring his vertical, in every way, game to the WR position.

11/14/2018 - 3:21pm I have a lot of faith in…

I have a lot of faith in Michigan's recruiting assessments. Having said that, this is one of the recruits I have the most reservations about. Clearly they like, not only, his potential and ceiling but also his coachability and likelihood to ascend. This will be an interesting player to watch.

11/14/2018 - 1:37pm You know what, the kid moves…

You know what, the kid moves remarkably well. Competition caveat...oh my! Ben Davis is a big-time football program in Indy/Indiana...they play the best schedule in the state...have won many state championships....it's the school Evans is from. Warren Central, Ben Davis and Carmel are the perennial powers-we lived there for 15 years :) I was curious when I saw where he was from...skeptical of his size...very pleasantly surprised when I saw his film. If I had not known I would have guessed he was rated (at least) a 4****...LOTS of potential here. Harbaugh has worked this team and roster into a position that Michigan can take a high ceiling project such as this and keep building the future. Hell, this kid plays with good energy-make him into an All-American DT...he's 6'8" but has a solid center of gravity.

Otherwise, I believe Bailey is going to be up from Georgia-crutches and all. I'll bet he is bringing good news! Never to early to get the next outstanding QB in the room! Why else would he be coming now...Harbaugh just visited him on bye week???!!!

11/14/2018 - 8:23am I saw somewhere that Bailey,…

I saw somewhere that Bailey, the 2020 Georgia QB, is coming up...to make an announcement??? It would  be great to get the next outstanding QB prospect committed and on the recruiting trail.

11/14/2018 - 8:19am ...which confirms the eye…

...which confirms the eye-test, at this time, that the top 6 teams all deserve to be in the final four. Adding OSU and West Virginia would make a very solid field for an 8 team play-off...you can throw one of them out and put UCF in if you wish.

11/14/2018 - 7:52am Not enough evidence is in to…

Not enough evidence is in to give a definitive assessment of Shea. However, the trajectory he is on says that he will be, at least, an average pro QB. At the college level, he is QB that can win an NC. Harbaugh is on the record as saying that Shea can  play at the next level...here, I'll surely defer to his judgement.

11/14/2018 - 7:36am Coach Harbaugh preaches a…

Coach Harbaugh preaches a complimentary game...everything is related to everything. Here, Michigan forges a 35/25 split...it's all good.

11/13/2018 - 8:02pm He's just playing his Marcus…

He's just playing his Marcus Ray card...trying to get his team fired up...actually, he probably is.

11/13/2018 - 7:55pm Clearly you are easily…

Clearly you are easily confused :) Good luck.

11/13/2018 - 7:52pm OTish: Dawand Jones, a 6'8"…

OTish: Dawand Jones, a 6'8" 360# OT from Ben Davis-perennial Indy area power where Evans is from, is beginning to raise interest. I was very pleasantly surprised when I pulled up his clip. This kid plays/moves pretty well.

11/13/2018 - 7:42pm If ND loses the probability…

If ND loses the probability of them not being in the final four is MUCH higher than a 50/50 proposition. I would put it much closer to "No chance in hell". And this in no way jeopardizes Michigan's chances...it most certainly would enhance them. Remember, you were listening to ESPN!

11/13/2018 - 6:44pm Gray is more quick than …

Gray is more quick than  fast...very agile with excellent acceleration. He also has great balance with a low center of gravity...and great body lean. This lets him run through traffic quite effectively.

11/13/2018 - 6:28pm With three games to go the…

With three games to go the case for an 8 team playoff remains very strong. And though there will surely be some "sorting out" that "sorting" will not negate the appropriateness of expanding this field. Conference divisions confound and pollute the process...this whole thing needs a serious re-work. A part of me hopes that the top 6 teams win out with the exception of Georgia beating Alabama...and let the hell rain down on this ridiculous 4-team arrangement...because there would be two team left out that absolutely should be and have every right to be included.

Otherwise, it does not require much delusion or imagination to place Michigan ahead of ND at this juncture.

11/13/2018 - 5:24pm There you go..."just get…

There you go..."just get there"!!!

11/13/2018 - 5:12pm Yes, Long's speed was…

Yes, Long's speed was impressive!

Otherwise, so many errors made on this play.

11/13/2018 - 1:10pm The gift that keeps on…

The gift that keeps on giving. Here, Blackwell and MSU deserve each other...it was just a matter of time. The layers to this being peeled back should be very interesting. Dantonio hired him. What a sad tale.

11/13/2018 - 12:56pm He's very good but not elite…

He's very good but not elite/explosive. Moving inside would indeed seem to be the correct move for him. To me, his tape was never 5***** from the physical side...but my guess is that he is a very cerebral player and he will be a very solid contributor. I know he wants to play defense but OL may finally be his calling.

11/13/2018 - 12:48pm The kid is really good…

The kid is really good-probably LT good. A couple weeks ago they had a tackle eligible type play where they swung it out to him in the right flat...he takes off-jukes a DB and gains about 20 yards...and this is big-time Georgia HS football. A high school kid that big is not supposed to be able to do that!!! It was an eye-opener...for how athletic he is. Barnhart can do the same thing and Rumler is a friggin beast. I'm telling you (if you don't already know) this is one helluva a class coming in...and they are clearly not done!

I love Charbonnet and Gray both coming this weekend!!!

11/13/2018 - 10:17am We thought Rick was going to…

We thought Rick was going to Michigan. Rick's dad, Ken, was my youngest brother's coach at good old Goshen High. We could see Mirer's grandparent's house from ours...about a half mile across the corn field!!! You're right...WHATEVER!

11/13/2018 - 9:19am Wow! Quite the line-up of…

Wow! Quite the line-up of games...and talent!

11/13/2018 - 9:08am Exactly...this is Charbonnet…

Exactly...this is Charbonnet-a helluva a football player...a real 5***** talent.

11/13/2018 - 8:49am The Cali kid I want Michigan…

The Cali kid I want Michigan to pull is Bru McCoy from Mater Dei...have you seen him? And Chris Steele, who just decommitted from USC will be on the other side of the ball against Charbonnet...maybe Charbonnet can have  a little chat with him-after he trucks him.

11/13/2018 - 8:24am I have always liked Higdon…

I have always liked Higdon-gives max effort, gets as much out of a play as he can and moves the chains. From what I have seen of Samuels he is very much like Higdon. I believe Samuels' playing time next year is mostly predicated upon how quickly Charbonnet adapts to the college game...unless Evans decides to break a tackle (of which he has shown flashes) and Turner takes off...then, of course, there is Tru-whom I really like...how's that for hedging!!! Otherwise, the RB room is going to be JUST FINE!

11/13/2018 - 8:08am This is a talented roster…

This is a talented roster...there certainly are challenges-but even greater opportunities. Teske and Davis have plenty they can contribute here-and make this a successful year. This is why I keep saying that this coaching staff is going to be challenged greatly this year...I think they will be up to the task...but it is going to be a process.

11/12/2018 - 10:19pm OTish: Gray is expected to…

OTish: Gray is expected to be at the Big House this WE. Another crystal ball for Zach Harrison-to the good guys.

Edit: More OTish...I see Steele has de-committed from USC...so another big player gets added back into the pot.

The kid I would really like to see at Michigan though is Bru McCoy-the kid could be a very special player for Michigan...on either side of the ball but especially on defense-viper...or safety along side Hill-OH MY!!! Bring both these Cali kids on board...Steele to replace another terrific Cali kid-Long.

11/12/2018 - 10:14pm Many believe the home field…

Many believe the home field advantage to be the crowd inspiring the home team. I disagree. I believe the home field advantage is the calls that do not get made against the home team. This is very difficult to quantify with a number.

11/12/2018 - 1:51pm Real funny! Look me right in…

Real funny! Look me right in the eye and tell me with a straight face you wouldn't be shocked.

11/12/2018 - 9:57am So, you think a 6'2" 220…

So, you think a 6'2" 220 pound 17 year old RB with his talent is under-sized and has no chance of being an impact player as a freshman??? The kid is a Jonathon Taylor talent. He runs with extreme aggression already-against elite California HS talent. Sure, there will be a transition to make. But OMG, anyone who believes this kid is a long-shot to make this transition quite seamlessly is nuts. This kid is a down-hill runner who loves contact-he's not a faker and juker who relies on out-running everyone and needs a freight train size hole to take it to the house.

The pieces are there...the coaches need to figure this out.

11/10/2018 - 8:25pm Michigan will be kind to…

Michigan will be kind to them on their last two possessions and give them uncontested safeties.

11/10/2018 - 3:44pm Come on man...really???

Come on man...really???

11/10/2018 - 9:04am 33 degree...snow showers…

33 degree...snow showers...13 mph winds at kickoff

11/10/2018 - 8:52am I hope that my belief that…

I hope that my belief that this is a very good (stress free) day to be a Michigan fan holds true.

11/10/2018 - 8:39am These backs are all capable…

These backs are all capable. Strangely/ironically I assess Evans as having both the highest ceiling and being the least trustworthy. Michigan needs the "good Evans"...the "bad Evans"-not so much.

Not to get the cart before the horse but next year is going to be very interesting. I think Charbonnet is going to be given a legitimate shot very early on. I'll soon be 66-I do not recall a Michigan back with his punishing style of running...he is so Le'Veon Bellish-the patience and jump cut are eerily similar.

11/08/2018 - 8:43pm That's right. And this is…

That's right. And this is why Michigan is recruiting many of the kids they are. Harbaugh does not hesitate to take multi-position kids who are well-rounded and excellent athletes-who are often over-looked. (I am really curious where this Barrett kid lands position wise.)

This sort of reminds me of how Hutch recruits her softball players. I have heard her say that she, first and foremost, wants athletes with high playing IQs. You can teach those kids how to play any position they end up at-very well. After basketball, the sport I like the most is fast-pitch softball...grew up around a world champion men's team...love watching Michigan compete!!!

11/08/2018 - 8:31pm If Harrison and Crouch get…

If Harrison and Crouch get added to Hinton, Smith and Hill the top end of this class would certainly challenge some kind of metric for Michigan recruiting. And on the offensive side with Charbonnet, Rumler, Jones and  Gray...and hopefully "Ike". And there are a couple sleeper, wild cards in there whose ceiling might be as high as that top group...Ojabo, Jackson, Sainristil...even McNamara-bright kid and terrific leader.

11/08/2018 - 8:11pm I believe your assessment is…

I believe your assessment is quite astute. But I will take Charbonnet and 25 carries a game any day of the week and twice on Sunday. This kid's talent jumps off the screen and will translate upwards..so much so that I believe this is why Gray is not sure about coming-he should come too though.

Otherwise, that OL Tennessee kid is Trente Jones' teammate...and surely Michigan is trying to flip him...and get Ike or Keegan as well. Now that would be an AL level OL class!!!

11/08/2018 - 8:04pm You got that right. We would…

You got that right. We would not be here if we did not believe it to be imperative-for our two young grandsons. We love our kids but OMG!!!

11/08/2018 - 8:02pm This is what I came here for…

This is what I came here for-to see if anyone was invoking the Peter Principle. Took a lot of scrolling to find one...good job...this is what is in play here. If this is real, Mr. Warinner, resist the temptation.

11/08/2018 - 10:22am I will never understand why…

I will never understand why fans believe these games have anything of substance to do with them. Angst away-if it kills you that is on you...really it is...get a life.

11/08/2018 - 10:15am A kidney contusion is severe…

A kidney contusion is severe...hope your not a doc-saying such a silly thing. Yeah, you can survive with only one...but you do not play until you know you are getting full function from two. Hope this turns out well for him.

11/08/2018 - 8:05am I swear some of you have…

Duplicate...maybe needed to be said twice. Nevertheless...

11/08/2018 - 8:05am I swear some of you have…

I swear some of you have never competed...you could not be more wrong. Get rid of the stupid conference championship games. Go to a conference schedule that makes the top 6 teams from the previous year play each other-in all conferences. Have each conference pick their entry...a committee picks the at large entries. Take the human bias out of the equation-as much as is feasible...it should be at least 8-preferably 16. As usual, Harbaugh has it correct.

11/07/2018 - 10:09pm It needs to be at least 8…

It needs to be at least 8 teams. Byes in these scenarios are silly and pointless...and a disgrace to  the spirit of interscholastic athletic competition. Play the games straight up...nobody deserves any special considerations...if you're better-prove it on the field.

11/07/2018 - 8:10pm As well Michigan should be…

As well Michigan should be throwing a fit given how much better they are playing than ND and the schedule they are playing relative to ND's. Otherwise, do you have a point??? Rhetorical.

11/07/2018 - 3:55pm These are impressionable…

These are impressionable kids. The culture they are brought into is a huge difference-maker. To assume that "Corely" would have become a rapist at Michigan because that is what he became at MSU...is not correct thinking.

11/07/2018 - 10:23am Yeah, all-state beginning my…

Yeah, all-state beginning my sophomore year in HS-in Michigan would be the real fact though-a PG no less. And I've coached, played and officiated at the college level. I've forgotten more about this game than most have ever known...but make up whatever story you wish to support your partisan ignorance.

11/07/2018 - 10:17am Interesting that the…

Interesting that the interceptions were in zone. There's great upside in mixing the coverages!
