I used to get my haircut at Coach & Four and ran into one of Bo's old recruiting guys. I asked him what the toughest states to recruit out of were and his answer was any state where they had relatively few blue chip kids but where the state one has ONE major powerhouse school. He said the states loaded with talent but one big school would bleed out a few whereas states with several power schools like Florida or California you could sneak kids out in the crossfire between local powerhouse schools. Granted it was just anecdotal evidence from one guy who was active in the 80s but it made sense to me at the time.

misleading chart with very little statistical significance.  While interesting at a glance it means almost nothing without population data, % of population playing football, # of football universities in the state, breakdown of # of blue chips in each state, etc.

If ever a stat was begging for an index to be created that weights for these variables, it would be this one.

At this point if Michigan makes it to the Game 11-0 it's hard to see them not landing- 1 top 10 RB 3 top 150 OL 3 top 100 WR 2 4* DL 2 top 100 LBs and 2 4* DBs Even if Michigan doesn't land a RB late this finish would give them about 2- 5*s, and 19-4*s

If he's visiting this late, he is definitely serious about going blue! Ohio St is a option as well, this kills me because it's probably coming down to us vs them

Just having headlines saying 5* star recruit visting UofM is a win. Seems to have a chain reaction with other 5* star recruits. Good job Harbaugh. Keep the chain reaction going. Just a matter of time.

I'm OK with the RB commitments so far. If they pull in one additional who happens to be a five star, then that will be gravy, or additional icing on the cake.

"On a RB related note, I was watching a video from MaxPreps that lists the top 10 RB's for 2017. They have Cam Akers ranked #2 and the narrator, Zack Poff, said he expects Akers to end up in Ann Arbor to play for Harbaugh. Not sure who Poff is, but I hope he knows his stuff. Akers looks like a real game changer."

Hopefully this guy was correct all along.

Surely, nothing could happen with this? Maybe Najee is a sure lock to 'Bama then? Pure speculation, but just can't imagine Harris or Akers coming to A2 so late into the recruiting game.

Magnus or anyone else, is this legit interest or just taking advantage of an official trip to a place he wouldn't normally see? Either way it's great that we have guys at this level starting to show interest even if it's just curiousity--with a winning product and the facilities we have you know it's only a matter of time until some of these end up sticking.
