Who should be our next Head Coach (in 15 years)?
To those who realize that we will be going in a different direction at Head Coach in 15 years after RichRod is done winning all his National Titles and rides off into the sunset, who do you think we should hire?
To the rest of you, I'm sorry that your impending negs failed to deter me from posting this question. Hopefully you guys will come around before too long and see what the rest of us see.
Go Blue!

I liked Brian Griese in the booth today.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:29 PM ^
Great choice. I wonder if Illinois fans were as put off as we get when we have other team's alums in the booth?
To his credit, you couldn't tell he went to Michigan as far as how he called the game. He must have studied at the Kirk Herbstreet school of color commentary. He plays it straight in the booth too. Which actually pisses me off even more.
I always prefer to have something to gripe about.

as much as I like griese (dude's my avatar for crying out loud) he's not firery enough to be a college coach. and he's not mean enough to be a pro coach. I think he's found a perfect place for himself in the announcing booth.

Taking over for Rodriguez in 10-15 years.

Do you mean all the members of Yes, or just the lead singer?

Your mom.

...and say Nick Sheridan.

I could actually see that happening
November 6th, 2010 at 6:21 PM ^
Also, me.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:21 PM ^
Should be available by then
November 6th, 2010 at 6:21 PM ^
Hopefully, someone who's in high school at the moment.

Nick Sheridan

Or mathlete.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:41 PM ^
I could see the Mathlete getting bogged down by devotion to a Joe Girardi-like binder, resulting in infinite delay of game penalties.

Are you allowed to have more than one person as head coach?

The unholy love-child of Nick Satan and Chip Kelly!
Urban Meyer can be his Godfather.

We would be having this discussion if a 2-pt conversion goes the other way. A single play was the difference between RR is awesome vs. RR is gone.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:28 PM ^
I hadn't realized that, thanks.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:29 PM ^
Fair enough, but it was a coaching decision that put a stop to that 2PC in the first place. So credit deservedly goes their way.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:35 PM ^
You can say that about dozens of plays in the game. Just because it was the last play, doesn't actually make it the sole deciding factor if we're talking alternative history.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:38 PM ^
Time to go pout in the corner pondering how close we were to thinking about firing the head coach.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:46 PM ^
I'll take a tipped ball catch off an almost interception at the goal line over the 2 Pt play.
November 6th, 2010 at 7:33 PM ^
Yea Hemingway definitely saved our butts there
November 6th, 2010 at 6:26 PM ^
RR's D or O Coordinator at that time. Let's usher in a new era of nepotism! BYAH!

You've got some work to do.
+1 for charity.

Perhaps Six Zero could interview you for finding a way to get negged that badly without getting banned.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:42 PM ^
I'm guessing you weren't as positive recently?

I think your point situation is explained in the moderator action thread near the bottom.

Dee Hart.
I called Miss Cleo and she tells me that Rich Rod will pull a Joe Paterno, coaching Michigan for atleast 37 more seasons. 8 time Pro-Bowler, and 4 time NCAA National Champion Dee Hart takes over after that for another quarter century of dominance.
November 6th, 2010 at 6:28 PM ^
Rich Rod's son. Maybe Chad Henne. LOL who knows who will emerge as the next coach, but lets just enjoy the win and the wins to come.

Like the enthusiasm, but it's a little premature to be talking multiple NC's when we just gave up 65 points. Excitement on this level is what kills us when we hit a three-game losing streak.

Tyrone Wheatley, Larry Foote as DC, Mike Hart as OC. I have a had time believing that Wheatley won't get a strong look as RB's coach after Jackson rides off into the sunset.
November 6th, 2010 at 7:32 PM ^
and he'll groom Rhett to become our next coach. JoePa style.
