Meh, these are paid…

Meh, these are paid professionals now. I think criticism is fair.

NIL era is so dumb.

NIL era is so dumb.

I hope we play them in the…

I hope we play them in the tournament.

Fair point, but it feels…

Fair point, but it feels like it's going to catch up to us at some point. Just need a couple of injuries to create a disaster situation.

St. Juste to me is the only…

St. Juste to me is the only major whiff there, and that was a doctor's error.

Charbonnet was also good, but we had better RBs in the fold.

True freshman lol. If I'm…

True freshman lol.

If I'm the coaching staff, I'm never counting on any direct-from-high school recruits to pan out.

Just go portal shopping for every position and recruit over what you have because apparently that's the only way to ensure you will have any depth.

Side pay is fine. Real pros…

Side pay is fine. Real pros get endorsement deals all the time, but they are locked into contracts to play for X team for Y years. They can't just leave on a whim if they are under contract. It just doesn't work that way. They can try to force trades, but if they do that, then then X team is going to get something in return. You don't have this chaos with tons of players leaving willy nilly. Contracts with schools would prevent what is happening now.

Just make it like every other pro sport.

"They can easily find a…

"They can easily find a better corner for this year in the portal." I hope so!

Is there a point to…

Is there a point to following recruiting anymore? Like 1/3 of recruiting classes actually stick for any meaningful period of time.

NIL has created a bunch of pseudo-pro mercenaries. It's hard to root for players when you have no idea if they are going to bolt for a rival team at any moment.

I'm for paying players, but this is essentially like MLB but without player contracts. Imagine Aaron Judge just deciding one day that he was bored of NYC and just left the Yankees before the season started because he felt like it. That's what we have in college sports right now.

Salary caps, direct pay, and contracts please.

Don't play what game? That…

Don't play what game? That is the game. Recruiting in the NIL era is just a contest of who pays players the most.

I like the idea, but…

I like the idea, but apparently, Sullivan is going to Iowa.

Is he good at sportsball?

Is he good at sportsball?

I think people need to pump…

I think people need to pump the brakes on Warren on a bit. He had two great throws: one was a wide open bomb where Bell just ran passed a walk on on a go route. The second, he scrambled around and found Moore wide open, who then ran away from a bunch of back ups.

I would not let this guy…

Keon Sabb could've had this playing time... Really messed up.

Isn't it Greg Scruggs?…

Isn't it Greg Scruggs? Either way, not a good look.

Does he still do the "Havoc"…

Does he still do the "Havoc" press thing? Seemed kind of gimmicky to me.

Bring him back to right the…

Bring him back to right the ship with Yaklich... then burn the boats

Had to do it. Couldn't…

Had to do it. Couldn't recruit, couldn't develop. The record speaks for itself.

A back up safety is worth $2…

A back up safety is worth $2 million on the open market?

I can't wait for the Exit: Juwan post. The horrendous record alone is enough for the axe. Two instances of fighting/near fighting added on... what are we even doing?

A lot of business-speak in there, but sounds good, I guess.

Wow what a come up.

Imagine shoving your boss in any other profession lol.

Why did Josh Zawada transfer…

Why did Josh Zawada transfer to Duke? Looks like we picked up another attack guy, but I saw that in my news feed and struck me as weird.

I am taking a CFB break…

I am taking a CFB break until the sport is fixed. This year was the mountaintop for Michigan fans, but the sport is devolving into uncapped MLB spending free-for-all, but with no player contracts, tampering enforcement, or free agency. It's bonkers. (not to mention conference realignment ruining long-standing traditions).

Mediocre coaches like Ryan Day will be able to successfully buy their way out of X and O cluelessness. I'm not interested in watching that. Pay the players, but they should be paid directly by the schools with, you know, employment contracts, like real pros.

My dad is 78 with Parkinson…

My dad is 78 with Parkinson's. He was a very active surgeon for many years. Coincidentally, I have competed in powerlifting competitions. This post hits.

Parkinson's is a terrible disease.

I'm at -24 for this post with NO RAGRETS. NEG AWAY.

It's offseason, y'all, relax.

My apologies.

My apologies.

1. Because it is basketball…

1. Because it is basketball season and have you seen our basketball team?

2. I don't think you're correct about may vs. could. "May" is far more ambiguous and connotes permission vs. ability.

"NFL photography isn't…

"NFL photography isn't really a thing."

tHanKs, wArDe!

Mike Barwis was insanely…

Mike Barwis was insanely hyped as a strength coach. When the Rich Rod era ended, he didn't remain a D1 strength coach, he started his own business.

He's in Florida now, presumably enjoying the sunshine: https://www.barwis.com/.

I have no doubt Herbert was important, but I think the strength coach stuff is a bit overhyped.

I'm a lot more concerned about replacing an all-world DC and competing for recruits when NIL inducements are apparently not policed at all and our rivals are outspending us by millions.

"Herbert wanted a long-term…

"Herbert wanted a long-term deal.  Warde wouldn’t give it to him."

Source?

Everyone: NFL strength coach…

Everyone: NFL strength coach isn't really a thing.

NFL: Here's $2 million to oversee an empty weight room in SoCal.

Herbert: *Runs to SoCal*

Coaches are people, too man. Maybe he's tired. Training a bunch of 18 year olds would be exhausting.

Brian has the correct take:…

Brian has the correct take: Yes, we should have offered Harbaugh everything from the beginning. No, it would not have mattered. This dude was not interviewing for NFL jobs for funsies. He wants to the coach in the NFL, that's it. And I can't blame him. CFB is broken until schools can directly pay players and have them sign contracts.

Oh Snap!

Oh Snap!

There is no way MSU grads…

There is no way MSU grads are richer than us. Are we that cheap? lol

Yeah baby. I don't want that…

Yeah baby. I don't want that guy in the BIG10.

The 2022 offensive class was... not great. Defensive class was pretty epic.

Isn't he expected to play a lot next year with Tyler Morris?

We gotta do exactly what we…

We gotta do exactly what we have done all season: run the ball, sack the QB.

How bout no?
