Side pay is fine. Real pros get endorsement deals all the time, but they are locked into contracts to play for X team for Y years. They can't just leave on a whim if they are under contract. It just doesn't work that way. They can try to force trades, but if they do that, then then X team is going to get something in return. You don't have this chaos with tons of players leaving willy nilly. Contracts with schools would prevent what is happening now.

I think people need to pump the brakes on Warren on a bit. He had two great throws: one was a wide open bomb where Bell just ran passed a walk on on a go route. The second, he scrambled around and found Moore wide open, who then ran away from a bunch of back ups.

I am taking a CFB break until the sport is fixed. This year was the mountaintop for Michigan fans, but the sport is devolving into uncapped MLB spending free-for-all, but with no player contracts, tampering enforcement, or free agency. It's bonkers. (not to mention conference realignment ruining long-standing traditions).
Mediocre coaches like Ryan Day will be able to successfully buy their way out of X and O cluelessness. I'm not interested in watching that. Pay the players, but they should be paid directly by the schools with, you know, employment contracts, like real pros.
My dad is 78 with Parkinson's. He was a very active surgeon for many years. Coincidentally, I have competed in powerlifting competitions. This post hits.
Mike Barwis was insanely hyped as a strength coach. When the Rich Rod era ended, he didn't remain a D1 strength coach, he started his own business.

I'm a lot more concerned about replacing an all-world DC and competing for recruits when NIL inducements are apparently not policed at all and our rivals are outspending us by millions.
