Maybe so... I'd argue that Buffalo is glad they got Zona and not Michigan!
Lolz
I don't know, as frustrating as the offense was, I felt good by how the defense covered it. Obviously we can't do it to this extent against Houston (and certainly not against UNC), but it shows that they can execute on the defensive end in spite of frustrations on the other half of the ball.
Also, given that this is a banner year (and we've avoided being a historic upset), I feel like a big weight is gone for the "legacy" of this team: No matter what, they're champions.
@slmandel
So let me get this straight.
-- The Pac-12 got three teams in the NCAA tournament.
-- Two didn't make it out of Dayton.
-- Their champ is about to lose by 25 to Buffalo.
@RealSkipBayless
I'm picking Arizona to win it all as a 4 seed because of Deandre Ayton, who at 7-1 has NBA superstar potential. Plays so hard and smart for his age. Maybe I'm expecting too much too soon, but he's easily the best player in this tournament.
Made a fool of himself in front of all 14 of his viewers.
skip bayless has been making a fool of himself for a long time.
And I thought Barkley picking San Diego St in the Elite 8 was bad!
is in the Michigan band. Can anyone with connections to the band inform her that she is universally hated by all michigan fans? and beg her to stfu on Saturday...
Long layoff + lomg road trip + late start + time zone change + scrappy underdog = offensive struggles. But the defense doesn't go away.
Very impressed with Robinson's improvement on the defensive side of the ball. Seems like he's taking it pretty serious.
Tough venue, no one there, Thursday night, Wichita sucks, haven't played in awhile and Montana was a hard team to take seriously. The boys will rip those Houston jag offs a new one on Saturday.

Maybe a good thing to get an offensive clunker out of the way early.
We're still in the tournament - on to the next round!
Go Blue!!
In years past, that game would be a lot more scary since the defense would not have been around to support the offense (sounds like football). Yet if the defense can continually be that savvy and aware, switching and contesting, the team is much better suited to survive those clunkers.
This! Made those two early fouls on Simpson look even more ridiculous.
It's a good thing Vasili didn't get to see Montana.
I kept yelling at the officials. It was quiet enough in that place I'm pretty sure they could hear me. I kept it clean and simply pointed out that they couldn't get a call correct to save their lives. My favorite was resetting the shot clock on the held ball without a change of possession (in the first half, when Houston had the ball). The ball didn't hit the rim, Michigan never gained possession, the shot clock was at 6 when they went to timeout -- and it was at 30 when they came back. I shouted -- another guy in my section shouted -- it didn't do a thing. And, naturally, Houston scored with 23 on the shot clock.
I didn't hear the wailing girl. She must have been next to the TV effects microphone. What I did hear was a "Go Blue!" "Go Maize!" cheer that I don't remember ever hearing before and I didn't like a bit. It sounded like a bad East Lansing import.
Finally -- Michigan is now the 3rd most efficient defense, per KenPom. Virginia, Cincinnati, Michigan. (Admittedly, Michigan is a full 5 points per 100 possessions behind Cincinnati. But still. 3rd. In defense.)
These dipshits should be sent home for the remainder of the Tournament. What an embarrassment.

Ugly, ugly game for a variety of reasons. Reminiscent of Iowa in B1G Tourney. Hopefully they will rebound in the same way they did then.
Man bun will find he is out of style!
One to go. There is only one next game.
Let's get to the Sweet 16. This team plays better as the underdog. Plus mid majors and small programs aren't intimidated by this Michigan team. We don't have the major recruiting stars or multiple freakish athletes that can jump out of the gym.
