EDIT: AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Submitted by FauxMo on

I am at a restaurant in Ann Arbor right now. Coach Harbaugh is two tables from me. I can’t ruin his dinner and say hi, but desperately want to. WWMGBD??????

EDIT: He does not look thrilled in the pic. But truly, my plan had been to leave him alone, and my wife and her friends approached him and did this...

Remember the world does not revolve around you or the thousands of others that come in sight of Coach over the course of a day/week/year and leave him alone to eat in peace.

HA!!!! when I was at my orientation before freshman year he was sitting across frome at Cottage In... he was on the Bears at the time and was trying to make it with some girl... I interrupted him and deserved to get popped but in a blink he paused his game, and shook hands. Was impressed.

If he leaves before you, just say " Good luck Coach. Hope you have a great off season." If he is seated when you leave, " Enjoy your dinner, Coach. Good luck next year or a simple, Go Blue"

Just do what I do when I see somebody at a bar or restaurant that I went to meet. Have the server tell them that Dave Grohl is here. Works everytime. Here's me and Nicklas Lidstrom from a few months back.

Just saw Derrick Walton at a bar in Chicago. He walked past our table on the way in and my brain instinctively reacted: "D Walt! What's up?" He kind of nodded and said "Hey how's it going?" I'm not one to approach celebs, minor or major, and felt a bit foolish for the fan boy reaction (and because "D Walt" isnt even a thing). In retrospect I should have just gone with a more subtle "Go Blue!" Especially given today's result and the fact he was wearing M gear. I'll go ahead and give myself a "Cool story, bro" on this one.

1) Don’t be an ass. Just leave him alone and let he and Sarah enjoy a night out. They’re not making a public appearance so give them some semblance of privacy, and try not to act like a horny middle school girl while you’re at it.

2) If for whatever reason you can’t control yourself and have to say something, just walk over and wish them a good night. Don’t ask for an autograph or tell him to start beating OSU. Just wish them a good night, good luck for next season, and be on your way.

I met him on the street in California during the recruiting weeks, I told his wife Sarah that the fact that Jim took the job changed our lives forever. She looked at me really confused. They were both super friendly.

I was once at a cafe with my wife and 1 year old in Canada where there were four out door tables on a terrace. A celebrity came out alone and sat at a table next to us. We ignored him. Didn’t want to bother him and didn’t care. He started a conversation with us and eventually joined our table for a while until we were done. We never let on that we knew who he was.

Sincerely hope you played it cool. No one likes the guy who talks to the guy just because they are something special. Better to just be normal. Believe me. Signed, TB12 on the sideline against this trash team

We were at Cottage Inn and he and another guy came in for lunch, I think it was. Suddenly, I couldn't keep focused on what my wife was saying; I wanted to go over and sit down, lol. I made up my mind to say something when we got up to leave, congrats or something short and sweet, but as we got up to leave the gal came with their order and ruined the moment for me. I always regretted not getting to say anything; times like that - opportunities like that - don't often happen.
