After reading all of the griping, legitimately so, concerning the irritating conditions that exist as one watches a football contest at the venerable Michigan Stadium, I offer the following advice:

For non season ticket holder fans who don’t mind not being close to the field, get seats in row 96 of the south endzone (Section 11, 12 or 13). You can stand up when ever you wish (I stand for the whole time the game is being played), and you will be in shade for the whole game...no roasting in the sun on sunny, hot and humid days. No knees in your back.

I used to have seats in Section 36, Row 96 in the north endzone area of the stadium. Loved the top row, but disliked the loud music from the speakers and also did not like baking in the sun. Swapped seats to the top row of south endzone of the stadium. Problems solved. Best decision I have made in a long time. Oh yeah, the actual game-day experience still sucked for all the other reasons MGoBlog posters have mentioned.

Go Blue!

That stupid "clap-six" stuff reminded me of RichRod's first year. Threat did the same stupid-looking stuff and the results were about the same.

But our new Strength and Conditioning coach is great. Didn't you see the players "before and after" pictures! What an f-ing joke.

09/02/2018 - 10:09am Too funny!

Too funny!

Going (already in South Bend area).

Section 136, top row.

I was able to go through the tunnel area of stadium and onto a small part of the stadium's field. Could see our seats from the field and it looks like it is going to be a great viewpoint for watching the game.

Notre Dame fans have been super-nice.

Last night my wife and I went out to a local eatery in Elkhart. Overhead a patron yucking it up about how ND kicked Michigan's ass by a score of 31-0 back in 2014. I was at that nightmare of a game and so much want the Wolverines to get some redemption on Saturday. I think a fair amount of ND fans have in their minds that the same type of team as the 2014 unit is the type of Michigan team they are going to see tomorrow night and it has caused them to think ND is going to manhandle Michigan again. I think Michigan wins this one, but if they don't I do know I will not walk out of that stadium embarrassed like I did back in 2014. Go Blue!

I'm sold...Patterson is gonna win the Heisman trophy.

08/01/2018 - 9:42pm To the administration of OSU…

To the administration of OSU: You decide to dance with the Devil, at some point you are likely to get burned.

08/01/2018 - 8:35pm If he is canned it won’t…

If he is canned it won’t cause the football program to implode. OSU will get a top-notch coach and the machine will continue to roll on...sadly.

100% agree. Shut up and prove it on the field of play. Go Blue!

07/28/2018 - 8:43pm I feel your pain...I was…

I feel your pain...I was there too. Pretty miserable experience.

Best of luck to a fine young man. Go Blue!

07/23/2018 - 4:55pm All the best to Grant, but…

All the best to Grant, but it was always a real long shot that he would ever be able to play football again. Just a sad story with regard to his injury, but I have no doubt he will have a successful life outside of football. Go Blue!

07/11/2018 - 6:19pm Love seeing the Jimmy…

Love seeing the Jimmy Harbaugh to John Kolesar 77-yard TD bomb against. My best buddies and I had been able to get season tickets that year and we were in attendance at that OSU game...will never forget that play. The stadium crowd just erupted when Kolesar caught that pass from Jimmy. What a moment. On the flip side, makes me kind of sad to know that there have been so few sweet moments against the hated Buckeyes over the last 15 years. Sickening, really.

04/28/2018 - 9:50pm Been there...

used to work at the Soo Locks. Suffered through some damn cold winter daze.

04/26/2018 - 7:42am I sat...

...through the nightmare/humiliation that was the 2014 Notre Dame game and endured the ridicule from 2 inebriated Irish fans the whole time. I was so pissed at Hoke’s clown show that afternoon. I will be in attendance for the game this year, and I am confident of at least one thing. Michigan will not be humiliated nor embarrassed on the field...not with Harbaugh in charge. Go Blue!

04/20/2018 - 7:01pm Do...

...stupid things to your body and eventually pay the price...some sooner than others.

04/17/2018 - 3:53pm Along with...

...a dash of head-scratching coaching decisions during some games.

04/13/2018 - 6:06pm I am going...

...into the 2018 Michigan football season with zero expectations. The last 10 years, overall, have just been too taxing on my emotions.

04/12/2018 - 9:11pm I hope...

...he stays on his feet.

04/12/2018 - 8:23pm Best of luck...

...Wilton. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for the University of Michigan football program!

04/11/2018 - 3:52pm I like...

...the way you think!

04/05/2018 - 1:33pm This...

...gives me hope.

04/04/2018 - 5:44pm They...

...used to hold it in October. Was a lot better experience.

03/30/2018 - 11:45am I’m...

...getting tired of all the talk. Just STFU and beat some good competition. It’s been like, oh, 12 years since it’s been done on a consistent basis.

03/30/2018 - 8:05am Hugs?

.. Bo must be rolling over in his grave. This is going to be a real interesting football season for the Wolverines and their fans.

03/24/2018 - 2:15pm And...

the University of Michigan football team’s string of good luck with regard to player injuries continues. This program is cursed.

03/15/2018 - 5:28pm Well...

what do you know. Maybe the Age of The Slob is finally coming to an end. Gee, it only took about 25 to 30 years.

01/14/2018 - 8:31am Ask him...

...what he is doing in Ann Arbor having dinner with his wife when he should be out recruiting.

01/02/2018 - 10:36am 44 years...

...that I have been a follower/fan of Michigan football. Right now, due to the last ten years of mediocre to pathetic football, I am psychologically worn out following this team. At this point in time, and I stress "at this point in time", the football team is in need of a lot of work to get it to a championship-level of play. It may begin to take shape next season, but Mr. Harbaugh has to make some significant changes in order for it to happen. I hope he starts to begin the process very soon.

11/30/2017 - 10:28pm Imagine...

...what the attendance will be when we have a team that can actually win the conference. Go Blue!

11/26/2017 - 10:13pm I do agree, but...

...that 1-5 record includes: a miracle finish by MSU in 2015; a royal screw-job in Columbus in 2016; and a game in which merely competent play by our third-string QB would very likely have won the ballgame against OSU in 2017. JH and the Wolverines have had some horrendous luck these last few years. Go Blue!

11/26/2017 - 6:10pm Given the timing...

...of Wilton’s announcement, I would have to believe he had a heart-to-heart talk with Jimmy and got the sense that his future at Michigan might be as a backup QB.

11/26/2017 - 6:02pm Hopefully...

...that “luck” will get better with an upgrade in talent along the offensive line.

11/23/2017 - 12:40pm And then...

...they act like it is some big coup.

11/23/2017 - 12:31pm After that cheap shot...

...Weber pulled against U of M last year my feelings are the same as yours.

11/23/2017 - 12:10pm Depressing read.

It is sad to think that such a talented football team has been bestowed upon one of the most disgusting fanbases in the country. Ugh.

11/23/2017 - 11:46am I was going to...

...pass up going to The Game, but have since decided to go and support the Wolverines. I am not expecting a great outcome, but I have to cheer the team on. Go Blue!

11/23/2017 - 8:48am I could...

...live without 11 and 12.

11/22/2017 - 4:18pm And...

...we kicked their ass last year and still got dismantled by them this year, so what’s your point?

11/22/2017 - 12:32pm I was there...

...for that game. Great moment. Great game. Went to the Rose Bowl and saw the team beat Washington State, too. Good times!

11/22/2017 - 12:27pm The thing that most concerns me...

...is the Michigan Defense’s penchant for giving up one or two huge plays (pass or run, take your pic) per game. And the breakdown, when it happens, seems to be at the most inopportune time...like after we just score to gain momentum or to take the lead.

11/22/2017 - 12:14pm Rick Leach...

...did not beat O$U four times. The 1975 team lost to O$U. The final death blow came on a Ray Griffin interception of a pass made by Rick Leach. I remember it like it happened yesterday.

11/22/2017 - 11:27am Yeah...

...not worried about Pee-SU. The Wolverines will dismantle them.

11/21/2017 - 10:54pm What...

...an exceptional young man. The kindness and love shown to Larry by the coaches and players of the Wolverine football team certainly cause one to be proud of our Michigan Men. Go Blue!

11/20/2017 - 7:16pm With Michigan’s...

...luck, I am pretty certain the “PED State” JT Barrett will show up this Saturday.

11/20/2017 - 6:28pm I was there...

...in 1995. Still vividly remember the “Rose Bowl” signs being held by the cocky Buckeye fans. It was quite sweet to see their shocked and disappointed faces upon leaving Michigan Stadium that afternoon. We can only hope and pray (pray real hard, everyone) for a repeat performance this year. Go Blue!

11/19/2017 - 7:14pm I sincerely...

...hope you are correct. I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong with regard to my prediction. Go Blue!

11/19/2017 - 6:31pm Have you...

...seen the play of Michigan’s “offensive” line against quality opponents this season? Add to the poor O-line play a coaching staff that lacks the ability to devise a creative offensive game plan, and what we have is a recipe for an ass kicking by O$U. I wish it wasn’t so, but the Wolverines are going to get demolished this coming Saturday.

11/19/2017 - 7:47am This comment is...

...the scary part, "And let's be honest, he (Jim Haraugh) is the best we're going to get, someone who fits everything we wanted".

If Jim Harbaugh can't turn this thing around (and I am not saying he won't), then who can?
