We made fun of how San Francisco ran Jim out of town and now three years later, we have fans wanting to do the same.  Hey, I guess Tomsula's available!

Jim needs to re-evaluate some things, but he's the best coach we're going to get.  Let's just hope he makes the right moves and that the team can have a good offseason of development.

Plays like Mayfield. Maybe he really is the answer. I agree with many others that what we are asking our qbs to do is way too much. Maybe as an upperclassman those types of responsibilities are possible but asking young guys to do it seems like a recipe for disaster. Patterson is a mobile guy, maybe that changes some things for the better.

Because with it generally comes a defense like Oklahoma. Those quick strike, up tempo offenses take their toll on your own defense. It’s similar to having an offense that goes out there and goes three and out. Oklahoma’s drives so far tonight are between a minute 30 and 2 minutes long. As much as it pains you, go look at the drive charts for Michigan’s offense tonight for a comparison. Michigan either went three and out or turned the ball over on all of their drives that were that short.

Terrible last year as we had the best offense in the Big Ten. This year our qb play has been atrocious and our receivers do not make anything easier. We lost essentially all of our important receivers on offense (everyone focuses on the defensive losses) from last year (Chesson, Darboh, and Butt) as well as a tough runner who was good at blitz pickup (Smith). It is imortant to remember all of this despite the abominatiom that was today's game. Improved QB play, some competentcy at WR, and continued improvements from the TEs and OL and we should see something very different next year.

I am thinking there will be changes and reflection this offseason

Harbaugh is the right coach for UM

Off to a rocky start is all

Some self induced and some just bad luck with injuries etc

Go Blue!

Uh... how? I mean he’s not wrong. Just about every school would be pretty ecstatic if they went 5-7. Hired a coach who then went 10-3, 10-3, lost 17 starters and replaced them with freshmen and sophomores and goes 8-5. Sure it was ugly. But if the floor for a Jim Harbaugh coached team is to go 8-5 while you lose your starting QB and top WR while having the youngest team in the country, just about everybody would take that. No, that doesn’t mean we have to like it. No that doesn’t make it okay. No, it shouldn’t look like this when it does happen. But the hot takes from certain sections of this fan base, are what’s wrong with it. The people who think that no matter the circumstances, Michigan shouldn’t be worse than 11-1 are what’s wrong with the fan base. This was a young team that was always going to struggle. Add in a few injuries and they were going to struggle even more. There was some unsavory playcalling on top of it but the fact is, Michigan has the right guy I’m at coach. He has the program moving in the right direction and the future is bright. It’s not perfect yet and there are obvious improvements that can be made. But the “woe-is-me” chicken little mindset of some of you people is the problem. Makes you sound completely insufferable.
