Michigan was aiming to make the playoff.

Now, to be realistic, this was a young team.  So this was never going to be a year to make the playofff.

But so what?  Despite youth etc., there is no viable excuse for an offense as bad as it was this season.

No matter the youth, the only way the offense ends up as bad as it was this year is if there is serious dysfunction on the staff.

This program was a tire fire after RR and Hoke. Harbaugh at least has made us competitive. Once his recruits become Juniors and Seniors we should do well. Hell, even with the Hoke leftovers Harbaugh was just a few plays away from making the playoffs. This down year was expected from the lack of recruits and high player attrition in the last of the Hoke years.

I mean, we all clearly realized that the numerous "Harbaugh To _______ ?" from the period when he took the job here and the NFL beat writers went into deep denial until the present day were clickbait and baseless, so the answer is assumed. The funny thing is that sports media keeps asking this question like the answer might change.

then go be a fan of some other team. fuck. it's okay to be pissed about today and this season overall, but to run him out of town? come on man, that's absurd. yes, I think he needs to make changes, but that's what happens, you see something that needs to be improved, you improve it. I have faith he will improve it.

Give him time to right the ship next year the only coach I would like to have as much as him would be dabo but I still believe harbaugh can get the job done

Well considering we had the youngest team in the country and almost our entire offense was based around freshman and new young olinemAn we could see a giant difference next year. The main issue is qb, and that has to change.

Let's take a step back from the ledge.

Harbaugh has turned around San Diego, Stanford and the 49ers (who promptly collapsed after he left), and won 20 games in his first two years here after Hoke won 12 in the previous two.

Jim's an ultra-competitive guy.  We have a million anecdotes about that, from his laser tag domination of a 10-year-old to his one-on-one basketball matchups with Durkin.  At halftime today he chewed out his team that was ahead 9-3.

We can be very, very confident that Jim is pissed off right now, probably more than any of us.  He doesn't want to lose five games in a season again.  He'll do what he can to avoid repeating that.

In his first season they should have been 7-5 caught a couple lucky breaks but they weren't very good as osu exposed 42-13.... They came back the next year and were better by a big margin should have been undefeated didn't show up to play at iowa and speight turned the ball over in Columbus is all that stood between them and Indy.....what happened between year 1 and 2? Returned the bulk of the roster experience matters not only experience but you are playing other teams backups from the year before.....for example psu is losing 8 senior 3 year started on d all their receivers and Barkley we are basically playing their second team this year next year. The exact opposite of this year which you see went from 49-10 us to 42-13 them it matters a lot. Same with osu went from 42-13 to double to in a game michigan should have won. Next year every team on the schedule except msu is losing the bulk of their starters

Anyone that says he needs to go is dumb. The team was PROJECTED to go 8-4. We went 8-4 after losing TWO Qbs to injury. Drevno probably needs to find a job in the pros where his playcalling will be better executed. Next year will be, it will be interesting.

Also, if there are any Lions/Michigan fans, please explain to me the difference between the Caldwell/Harbaugh situations.  Both were hired to take their teams to championship levels.  One is gone after four years and the other still hasn't won their division.  What's the difference?

Also, Jake Fromm and Jalen Hurts have played in the CFP as true freshmen.  Kelly Bryant (CLEM) is a first year starter.  It's reasonable to think that Peters and O'Korn, with multiple years of experience under QB-guru Harbaugh, would be better than what we saw.

I think it's premature to talk about Harbaugh's job status, but I believe he needs to seriously rethink his offensive philosophy.  This game, just like MSU and OSU, should not be blamed on the defense.

Fire Harbaugh, just plain stupid comments. Who would you rather coach the team, Rich Rod, Hoke, Miles ETC. He’s the right coach for the team period.
Does he have to start winning big games, yes indeed. I’m a huge UofM and proud alum, firing Harbaugh would be a huge mistake.

Stop being sooo naive. This kind of thinking is why our program is sooo behind. I think we need the consistency and i really think Jim can be great here BUT dont ever think he is the ONLY option out there. You got Lincoln fuckin Riley who looks like he is 12 killing at OU. Yes he has Mayfield but he has also shown to be better than Stoop.
There are plenty hungry young guys who can do just as good of a job.

get rid of the offensive staff and hire some real COLLEGE coaches and get SOME FUCKING TALENT FOR THE OFFENSIVE LINE.

Today was embarrassing.  Worst bowl team IN THE BIG TEN!!!
