Herron said he was going to work on recruiting Chris Hinton. It didn't take long. I think getting these relatively early commtiments from 5* players really will help bring more into the fold. That's something OSU has capitalized on lately.

Admittedly, the only thing most recruits are now making me realize is that I was around for a fair amount of things that they weren't, just as we've got a fair number of MGoBloggers older than 40 (which is what I hit this year) that could say the same thing about me. The whole blog just moves on in years and the recruits seem that much younger each year.

Chris is a big-time talent and he apparently has a great family. Congrats to him on the choice - he will have a great time in A2 and wearing the winged helmet. Go Blue

We'll be dropping a couple of H bombs from the outside on QBs in the near future with Herron and Hinton.  After we add a couple of elite RBs with Harbaugh handpicked QBs for the foreseeable future, it's gonna be FUN.

GO BLUE!!

Remember when we hadn't recruited an elite DE in like forever? Now 2019 has two that are either 5 stars or near it, neither even being from state of Michigan.

I've met this guy's dad! His dad is a former Northwestern player who played for the falcons for some time and owns a couple wine stores in my area of the north atlanta suburbs.

His dad always said he wanted his kids to get a good education, and they liked it up north - add in Michigan's winning program and this is as good as it gets. Definitely a family that was okay sending a kid to M!!!!! Great family, great guy.

Side note, he goes to the high school that was the rival of mine.  Grrrrrrrrrr

If that Chris Hinton is his dad, he was a really good player. Think he was part of the Elway deal/trade in the draft that year. Good 30 for 30 on that.

Eh... I would rather have had a 3-star recruit from the northeast who was underscouted, and comes in hungry to prove all the haters wrong. 5-star recruits are all primadonnas that the recruiting services always bust on.

This is a very strange opinion to have when the goal is winning National Championships. Michigan will NOT win Championships with unheralded, gritty 3-star whodats. You need crazy football talent to make it to the top....and who says all 5 stars are prima donnas? Is that something you read somewhere?

...that when they accept those 3* s, the recruitniks are all over the thread crying that Harbaugh can't recruit; but when we get a 5* they're eerily quiet.

Hearing that his family values education makes him a great fit no matter the stars, IMO.

You know when JT Daniels was somewhat in the picture, I mentioned that I hope he sees the OL class we are in the process of putting together. Now, although he went USC, he may now want to look at the DL we are putting together. I sure wouldnt want to face these guys in a possible playoff/National Championship game!!!!

what's up. They trust Harbaugh and would rather send their kid to Michigan than some shady coach/school. You think there is any coincidence McCaffery and Hinton are blue.
