Hate being in the pacific time zone for games like this, I get home and there's only 30 seconds left. Missed what looks like a great game.

once you have the baby, you pretty much won't/can't do much for about three months other than watch it lie around and sleep. You should get to watch plenty of march madness!
Congrats!

Welcome back Irvin. Going to credit Showalter with Walton's poor shooting performance. Wagner's still the most important guy on the team.

Huge win. Maybe a bigger win then many of us realize. And as much as well love to get on Irvin's case. He came up huge tonight. I was very impressed with him tonight. With a night when DW was off his game guys like Mo and Irvin stepped up. Defense has also gotten better now we need to keep playing one game at a time. The NCAA's are in sight but we need to keep this rolling.

Maybe a bigger win then many of us realize.Who wouldn't realize this? Wisconsin was #11 in the country...

This team has been very fun to watch since the OSU game. Well done Irvin coming alive tonight! And very nice defensive play too

Splitting with Wisconsin and MSU isn't that shocking. The home team won every time.
Losing at Iowa was a bit of a bummer, but Iowa shot the lights out (like everyone against us in January - that's thankfully evened out).
OSU at home is the one that sticks out.

Yeah, that Va Tech game was bad. We led that game most of the way and choked. It'd be nice to be 19-7 right now (which I think is more indicative of this team's talent level) instead of 17-9. Oh well. Just have to keep winning.

To be fair, we were getting absolutely worked by PSU at home and pulled one out of our asses. The Texas game we managed to hang on by a thread as well. I think we've generally been on the wrong end of some tight games, but I think 17-9 is reflective of this team as they've played for the whole season. I don't think the team we've seen the last 10 days is a 17-9 team, however.

we are -.042 in kenpom's luck metric, 273rd in the country so we're on the bad end of "luck". Our pythagorean record is more like 18-8 or 19-7.

Big performances from two guys that have been struggling - Irvin of course, and also Donnal, who played some of his best post defense in the second half.
Huge win. Amazing how different the season looks now from where it was eight days ago.

- Muppets.
- Irvin back. Much needed for end of season.
- Robinson improved defense. Allows us to give wings a breather.
- Donnal playing D and a bit of offense. Helps out Wagner and Wilson.
- Beating Wisconsin. Man, we needed that.
- Solidified a spot in the NCAA's.
- Moving up massively in the rankings over the next 3 weeks? We will win enough to be IN the tourney. However, if we can beat Minnesota, Northwestern, or BOTH, (along with Rutgers and Nebraska), we have a winning record in the Big 10 Conference. I can barely imagine it, but should we win out, we would pass up all but the top three teams, and could pass one of them if they tank.

I was one of the people you called out the other day for saying I thought it was time to move on from John Beilein. I'm so happy to be proven wrong. As my avatar suggests, I have always been a big fan of Beilein.* I'm excited to see where this season can go.
*If we can beat Minnesota and Rutgers, Beilein will have a chance to tie the all-time Michigan wins record next Saturday on senior day against Purdue. I hope he gets that chance.

Yeah, there was a stretch where everyone else seemed to be standing around and only he wanted to attack the basket.
