OT: Bolivians -- This is your thread to request clemency.

Submitted by Billy Ray Valentine on

In the earlier Isaiah Hole CB thread, several Bolivians surfaced to make their case for clemency.  I posed the question in the Moderator Action Sticky whether a thread dedicated to clemency requests would be permitted.  One of our gracious moderators indicated that the thread would be allowed, and it also may be a good recipe for humor.

Humor is the hope here, especially self-depricating humor.   Plead your case.  Non-Bolivians should weigh-in either in support or against clemency.  Please do not get political.  And please, do not re-post the exact same material that led to your Banhammer, unless it is in the context of what not to write.

Assuming we can have nice things, a thread like this might be entertaining every few years.

One final note -- I hope the moderators see it in their heart to consider at least one, if not more, application for clemency, assuming the user shows true remorse and accountability without qualification.

(fingers crossed on this one)

I would also offer that my time in Bolivia has not gone without great self-reflection, an I have truly been humbled to see how the locals here are happy with what they have (reading and thread posting rights. I believe myself to be fully rehabilitated and ready to contribute positively to the board

My son, how long have you been in Bolivia? How long have you had to reflect on anger and hatred? This is an interesting case, imhe. I know that the proprieter and many of the moderators share your disapproval of PSU and JoePa, let alone Sandusky. Still, on a somewhat serious note, I don't think anything good happens when we give in to hatred and act out of anger. I am sure there are exceptions. But they are exceptions and not the norm. I have had to learn a lot myself about not giving in to anger.

bolivians, unite!

i never catch it when people are sentenced to bolivia, meaning i miss the scorching threads or just pass over them.  muttley, doc brown (a whopping -2MM pts!), and some others.  hopefully will chime in and get pardoned.  i mean, if a president can do it and it's most certainly 'pardon season' at the white house, the mods can too, right?

Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey

When I think of all the arguments Marta and I have had, I realize how silly most of them were.  And it makes me wonder why she wanted to argue over such stupid things.  I think I'll go ask her.

Bring back Mr.Mario86 (or whatever it precisely was)! Watching that kid slowly devolve on the board over the course of a year from a somewhat normal poster to the eventual "banging people's moms" tirade that finally bolivia'd him was spectacular.
