or something else? These kids have been together 3 days and competing, and talkinn smack, and who knows what else. that kid should be sent home after that. That kid could have been seriously injured.

And yet the DawgNation site seems to applaud the play.

Let's be honest here people - as would we!
January 5th, 2017 at 8:08 PM ^
I would not applaud this if he were committed to U-M.

POS should be kicked out of the game and sent home immediately..

that they would put the bench only 20 feet from the sideline.

Smith recovered and won every rep following this play https://t.co/WGsfGhlMtU

Near as I can tell he had that rep covered until the Georiga commit grabbed his shirt.
Pushing an off balance receiver does not make you a tough guy.
January 5th, 2017 at 1:22 PM ^
Not to mention, where was the ball at this point? Seems like as a defensive player you would want to make your way to the play instead of being off of the field of play.

Holding.
Holding!
HOLDING!
CMON CALL THAT!
my reaction too many times this season.
January 5th, 2017 at 11:23 AM ^
What's this "holding" you speak of??

It's possible that the Fiesta Bowl did not use refs who own businessese in Athens, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio and/or who are in the Ohio High School Athletics Officials Hall of Fame.
This may have been a key difference.
January 5th, 2017 at 1:22 PM ^
Pretty sure those refs worked the Alabama - Washington game. Can't believe anybody that reviewed that crew's work in the OSU-Michigan game would assign them to another big game.

This kid has already wrapped up the award for biggest mouth.

I used to like Georgia. Now that Smart has taken over, I hate them.
January 5th, 2017 at 11:21 AM ^
Same here. When Kirby's first line of business as coach was to go to the state capitol and get FOIA laws changed you knew it was going to be very different from the Richt-era.
January 5th, 2017 at 11:23 AM ^
I feel similar, but this isn't really UGA's doing. He hasn't been on campus yet. Now the recruiting stuff...not cool.
January 5th, 2017 at 11:44 AM ^
The coaches probably like this stuff as it adds to their Cobra Kai mentality.

I'm pretty sure Kirby Smart follows the teachings of Terry Silver, though.

I let plays like that go all day long when The Ohio State University was on defense against ttun

If you don't want to get bullied like that....don't get bullied like that. That was a badass move. Blah blah blah could have injured him. Nothing hurt but pride there.
January 5th, 2017 at 11:26 AM ^
Most people expect play to stop when you are out of bounds. Your comment says to me that you are a giant dick head.
January 5th, 2017 at 11:29 AM ^
I'm going to come to your house and bash all the windows in with a sledgehammer, it's on you to get stronger windows, right?

January 5th, 2017 at 11:36 AM ^
I think the kid that did this is a dick.
And based on your response here, I can only conclude that you, too, are a dick...
January 5th, 2017 at 11:45 AM ^
I don't know why you're just shrugging that off. Guys get injured when the play takes them into the sideline fairly often and for that dbag to intentionally push the WR out of bounds and into a bench is dirty at best. That's a few game suspension if he pulls that anywhere but at an all-star game

I never did anything dirty, unless you did first and the ref wasn't calling it or if you were picking on smaller members of my team. Then stay away from my side of the field.
I got scratched by some prick one time, like purposefully deep excessive bleeding on my face, then got ejected for player safety due to being covered in blood. I wasn't able to get back at him since I was off the field. My RB who did play dirty, made him get carried off the field in the second half. Don't be a prick, or expect to get screwed. Hope this 5* flameouts or does something extra stupid like late hit in a game causing a loss, or brings sanctions down on GA.
January 5th, 2017 at 8:29 PM ^
Yep... never start it but be sure to finish it.
January 5th, 2017 at 11:20 AM ^
That's pretty thuggish. Totally unnecessary for an all-star game.
