When people bring up that tired ass Oakland bit. That shit irritates me so much.

Seriously though.
If last year went our way, there may be a chance that the team would maybe take this opponent just somewhat lightly.
There's 0 percent chance of that now. We're ready. And I'm sure the guys would play the game right now if they could.

Have you not been paying attention to how Harbaugh prepares?
October 25th, 2016 at 1:19 AM ^
I don't agree with WD's comment, but all coaches talk about one game at a time and all that. I don't care how laser focused Harbaugh is, when you have a team of busy college kids, sometimes there will be letdowns. Hell, why do you think Colorado jumped on us so quickly? They were much better than we, and probably the team, expected.

Hopefully we load that stadium up with maize and smash them in the mouth. And then stomp on their throat. Then kick them a few times. I respect the need to win with character, but the cruelty will be so much more cathartic.

But let's be honest. Reading that book was a chore at best.

Not going to happen but I will say I am confident Harbaugh will have Michigan still be throwing late in the 4th quarter even if up big. Dantonio doing so in 2014 can't be forgotten.

Exactly. I told the girlfriend yesterday that I don't necessarily want the 87-0 blowout. I'd rather have the comfortable 4-touchdown lead in the 4th quarter, and with the game well in hand, have the second teamers and walk-ons finish it out. Two reasons:
1. The unspoken message - "We didn't need our best for 60 minutes to beat the crap out of you" - would probably be a lot more galling to Coach Constipated Resting Face and his little green minions.
2. It'd be great to give guys who rarely see the field the memory of having played in The Great Green Ass Kicking of 2016.
Having said all that, an 87-0 blowout wouldn't break my heart, either.
October 25th, 2016 at 7:06 AM ^
Now, that I'll disagree slightly on. They'll be getting Michigan's best shot, but they won't be getting their first stringers. There's no such thing as garbage time for any of these players, except for maybe 1st and 10 with under 2:00 in the 4th, and they all play hard -- even on 3rd string.
October 25th, 2016 at 7:12 AM ^
I expect Harbaugh to keep the ball on the ground, basically saying you can't stop it. You can gag on it, but can't stop it.
October 25th, 2016 at 11:12 AM ^
How about a "both and"? 87-0 with the second teamers on the field in the second half? Any takers?
October 25th, 2016 at 9:28 AM ^
Yes please.

Just like their grand parents did with Sparty Bob.
October 24th, 2016 at 11:34 PM ^
Absolutely. That program, even including last year, is 6-7 since the Michigan game. Soon to be 6-8.
October 25th, 2016 at 6:24 AM ^
but someone here on the board recently posted something like: "the highlight for them this season will be watching that highlight from last season."
I wish I could remember who said that to give them the appropriate credit.
October 24th, 2016 at 10:57 PM ^
We owe them a few stompings as they had zero class and zero regard when we sucked. Bo and Carr made it a point to score fast and often early in E.L.
October 24th, 2016 at 11:03 PM ^
Bo's and Lloyd's teams never scored so much, or so fast, as this Harbaugh team scores. Except for the start against Colorado, Michigan has been out to HUGE leads early. Real early.
Sparty's 'will' will be broken quickly...
Edit - And UW. UW has a legitimately legit defense. (MSU does not...)
October 24th, 2016 at 11:51 PM ^
is the exception that proves the rule. UofM 49, MSU 3. That's what I'm hoping for this Saturday, but I'll take any score that results in a Michigan victory.
P.S. Do the dipshits at RCMB not realize that if they call us Meatchicken that makes them Meatchicken State?
October 25th, 2016 at 12:02 AM ^
No. No, they do not.
