Whatever

07/03/2018 - 10:38pm This smells like a story…

This smells like a story planted by Finebaum's agent to get ESPN to step up on finalizing a contract.  I can't imagine BTN would really bring this guy on, especially at the dollars it would take.

06/27/2018 - 4:50pm No coverage by Brian of our…

No coverage by Brian of our football program.  He’s taking his “Whatever” thing too far

06/25/2018 - 9:27pm It can be argued that it is…

It can be argued that it is a moral failing to associate yourself with a school that has been and is the posture child for moral failing

Best twitter announcement ever. Very classy.

06/21/2018 - 7:57pm If you are in Milwaukee

If you are in Milwaukee

try Eagle Park Brewery. It’s new but great place and great selection of beers.

06/17/2018 - 8:24am It also it also helps that…

It also it also helps that they have one of the easiest schedules in all of college football.

“Two” of course but can’t edit

06/14/2018 - 9:36pm Crickets.

Hey boss, how…

Crickets.

Hey boss, how about a comment or to about what’s going on with your business that we support?

06/06/2018 - 5:24pm When I go to the Blog via…

When I go to the Blog via iPhone or iPad I get the "transition" version, not the new and improved version.  Anybody else having this problem and how do I fix it for my mobile devices.  If I see that yellow again my head is going to explode

06/01/2018 - 11:41am That was my first game as a student

Love at first sight

06/01/2018 - 11:07am Anthony Carter

Anthony Carter

05/24/2018 - 5:16pm Correct. This is just a way

to get the University to tell him publicly how much they love him and want him to stay which would make it even less possible for them to criticize Izzo for what comes out down the road.

05/21/2018 - 9:28pm Officially the weirdest thread

I have witnessed in my years on this Blog.

04/26/2018 - 1:25am Put all biases aside and you have to

agree that WTF Dantonio? It is sad that a disregard for standards of decency is not punished. In a just world nobody goes to MSU.
By using the “it is up to the players” Dantonio is saying (and orchestrating) a return for this asshole.
It has been talked about on so many levels it is hard to support on any level taking back a racist if the team votes yes. That Dantonio puts it on the then players to speaks volume on how this program has compromised any semblance of integrity.
That Dantonio would even consider this is reprehensible I

04/23/2018 - 9:46pm Beyond the two big lineman, who on

the list is really a “must get” or likely superior to guys we will get from outside the state?

04/19/2018 - 10:09pm Are you suggesting

that Ingram county (MSU) wasn’t trying to transfer this problem elsewhere? It is akin to cities like LA that give people who show up at emergency rooms a free ride to another hospital. This was about protecting MSU.

04/19/2018 - 9:27pm An under reported part of this whole story

is the apparent corruption of the entire justice system in that county. Beyond the failure to investigate, undercharge, prosecute etc of several cases of crimes, now you have a judge, with the wink of the prosecutors, saying sure, you are okay to get back to college as long as you do it elsewhere. Shame on them, and the CC that took him in. Looks like MSU and county decided let’s ship him out and make him someone else’s problem.
Now he stands trial in Kansas and his crimes at MSU get buried.

04/17/2018 - 9:12pm I suspect that he was off the team for rules

violations or some other matter not yet resolved. He was probably given conditions to live by with a chance for reinstatement if satisfied. He didn’t satisfy those conditions (or a prior matter couldn’t be resolved) and they said goodbye.
The facts will come out.

04/13/2018 - 7:51pm Second luckiest

school

04/13/2018 - 12:15am Of course it was

Be real. The better question is whether it impacted on field performance. That is not so clear

04/09/2018 - 4:15pm Newport Beach-Corona del Mar

Fantastic area.  Plus, buy a house near the beach somehow.  The value will go up over time, it is just a matter of how much.

04/05/2018 - 10:52pm Good coaching helped

a bit as well

04/05/2018 - 10:49pm Lots of Michigan fans out on the West Coast

I guess you weren’t at Staples for the regional finals.

04/05/2018 - 10:26pm Hypothetical Q: if you were a responsible person in charge

at MSU right now what would you do? Never mind, never going to happen.
In my opinion this situation is the most disgraceful episode in modern history. The state of Michigan, through its elected representatives need to take appropriate action. Unfortunately I am doubtful it will happen.
Not a coincidence that the whitewash of the football players’ sexual assault case was settled while this bigger news played out.

04/03/2018 - 1:04am I hope he is investing prudently

He wasn’t ready for the NBA and is a complete bust so far. The idea is to get to the second contract.

03/27/2018 - 10:44pm Here’s what this means for MSU’s strategy going forward

This allows them to focus everybody on two guys who have committed horrific crimes. It will be a “look over there” approach. Expensive yes but that is inevitable.
Meanwhile the sexual assaults and coverups under Izzo and Dantonio will get a pass by MSU with a commitment and adoption of “best practices” with regard to future allegations.
They will be devaluing the crimes committed by MSU athletes and the injuries suffered by the victims in order to protect Izzo and Dantonio.
I don’t often root for plaintiffs’ lawyers or the press but I hope Izzo and Dantonio, not to mention Hollis and others, are held accountable.
This whole thing really is a disgrace to that institution.

03/26/2018 - 10:58pm I agree with your take but suitors or not

he would be better off sticking with Beilein and Michigan for awhile. Much better resume enhancement.

03/26/2018 - 10:55pm Thank you

.

03/26/2018 - 10:41pm Double post

.

03/26/2018 - 10:35pm Sorry, can someone

explain this comment?

03/25/2018 - 10:13pm Extra bonus: Allen missed

game winner in regulation. Ha ha ha.

03/24/2018 - 5:25pm Just picked up my ticket

at the Stub Hub ticket outlet near Staples. At least 25-1 Michigan fans getting tickets and wandering the streets. Great buzz

03/24/2018 - 1:15am Go to stub hub and get a parking pass

It is worth it to have a plan in downtown LA

03/17/2018 - 12:29am Or it proves UVA was overrated

Despite their ranking very few picked them to win it all. Michigan would be favored to win if they played during the tournament. Respect for their season and the classy way Bennett handled the loss but it shows how in college basketball the only thing that matters is the tournament

03/14/2018 - 2:39pm Some chump that Brandon

His friends at Bain (he knew them during the Dominos days) put him in at Toys knowing full well the company couldn’t survive, something Brandon surely knew as well. For his troubles he gets $15-20mllion over less than two years then on to the next deal with Bain. When it comes to making money Brandon is no chump

03/10/2018 - 12:17am Whatever. Fuck Duke

.

03/09/2018 - 10:04pm Look at the latest ESPN

brecketology or whatever it’s called. I would take tha all day long. I will take a three with that group

02/28/2018 - 10:22am No. Patterson will be

Harbaugh’s first great QB

02/25/2018 - 11:28am I volunteered for the same reason

Not invited either

02/24/2018 - 11:25pm I endorse this

comment

02/24/2018 - 11:04pm No politics I know but although Chait is a Michigan grad

He is about as left as it gets these days, and that says a lot. I used to like his takes on Michigan football on rivals but that part of his portfolio is long gone

02/21/2018 - 9:28pm Apparently you didn’t get the memo

Positive recruiting news (or anything football related) is not permitted anymore

02/20/2018 - 8:46pm Well that didn’t happen.

Should have but introspection and soliciting feedback from the people who participate on this site is not the hallmark of MGoBlog.

02/20/2018 - 8:39pm This is a great idea

Players on rosters then play. Proceeds to charity.
Decides nothing but It would be fun but also be a big fuck you to cheaters. Doing nothing doesn’t decide anything either but this is more fun.
I am all for it.

02/20/2018 - 11:21am Well said

This Blog is overwhelmingly and in my view overboard in its negativity, which shouldn't surprise anyone who has been around for awhile.  Brian sets the tone and so many just follow the leader.  I have been worried about the Blog all year given the lack of innovation and progress.  My concern ramped up with the "Whatever" post which suggested Brian had decided to not care about Michigan football going forward, any amazing stance to take given what drives this business.  That attitude permeates nearly every post (or comments on the Podcasts he participates in) concerning football.

I have visited this Blog thousands of times over the years and I have been rewarded with a ton of excellent information but had fun along the way, even when things were disappointing on the field. This time things feel different, and not in a good way.

I hope Brian snaps out of his malaise soon.

02/19/2018 - 3:49pm Seriously-find a good accountant

and a decent lawyer.  It will cost a few bucks but having good, and honest professionals supporting you will pay off over time.

01/30/2018 - 12:47pm Don’t get your hopes up

70 year old has beens aren’t change agents despite previous achievements. If they were serious about change they would have hired a younger person who is in the game today. Instead they hired a name with a good reputation but no energy. He will do some things but he is there to get to the finish line with as little upset as possible.

01/25/2018 - 8:56pm The biggest asshole is this is Enos

Just a prick move

01/24/2018 - 3:18pm Wish him well but this isn't much of a job

given his resume and ambitions.  It was reported that he was considered for several OC and other on field jobs.  This doesn't seem like much of a job for him.
