Wisc LB Biegel foot injury (Confirmed)

Submitted by MEZman on

Just saw this on the Wisconsin 247 board. They seem fairly despondent toward the bottom. Thought it was interesting enough to post. Sucks for the kid.

Edit: Rumor is broken foot in practice Wed.

Edit #2: Moms feel free to kill this if it's not appropriate rumormongering.

Is it starting to seem to anyone else that the seas are parting for us for a top 2 or top 3 showdown with OSU?  Seems like every good team we play has had major injuries.  MSU has lost all their starting LBs. Wisconsin loses their best defensive player (if true), Iowa lost their best WR, and not good teams but PSU lost their entire LB room and Rutgers lost their entire offense in injury.  Also Colorado lost their QB that looks like a potential pro early in the game.  Meanwhile we have the depth to allow Harbaugh to baby guys with minor injuries and we're playing the long game.  I was confident before all these injuries but I'm becoming more and more so.

That backup QB is also probably decent-good too, and we made him look useless out there. We have had injuries too with Clark, Drake, and Mone still being out.

As an aside, looks like Evan FLood (VIP post that I can't see) just chimed in to that 247 thread, most likely confirming or denying the injury...curious about what comes out of this. Regardless of if it is season ending or not, it does seem like the odds of him playing/being full-strength this weekend are not high.

Dear Biegel. A broken foot is not a serious injury and you should play through the pain on Saturday. Even if your mobility is low and you can't take on blocks and you basically fall down every play, your leadership is needed on the field. Tis better to get steamrolled trying to make a tackle and set a good example for your men instead of sit on the bench and let some lesser leader on the field for even one defensive snap. Did the black knight give up fighting when his arms and legs were cut off? Hell no!

I don't want to win unless Wisconsin is in full health at full strength!  Winning will be cheap and counterfeit otherwise!@!!

In other news, I want Michigan to win decisively.  That's all.  No artificial Ra-Ra from me.

Would be one of the best board wide troll jobs I've seen yet if not true.

If it is, I really hope it's not very serious so that he's back soon. He seems like a great kid based on his BTN interviews as well as the piece on him on BTN "The Journey".

but these are the types of injuries I hope for from our opponents.  I don't mind their best players being out for a short period of time....ideally 1 week, against UM.

Come back healthy and asap young man....I won't be missing you on Saturday.

Bad move trust me. I made the mistake of saying I didn't care that the PSU was out for the game and got blasted. Here's what your suppose to say:

Thoughts and prayers

I want them at full strength when we play them so our win won't be questioned

That's terrible. He was the greatest human ever and any injury to him is an injury to the human race

You get the idea

My Wisconsin alum friend that I'm flying into town with tomorrow just texted me and said Biegel's loss to Wisconsin is like a Peppers loss to Michigan. He though the game might be close with an M edge but now says "this game will be a blowout."

Not that it matters one bit, but we all might as well get ready for the "Ya'll beat Wisconsin because they didn't have their best LB" talk. That statement is just waiting to roll out the mouths of a lot of trolls.
