Submitted by IvyLeague on

Title says it all. Says he followed the Rashan Gary recruitment "very closely".

This is what happens when you steal articles from pay sites...

They have to build their headlines like this...we don't.

Also, do people realize that we all have the internet as well? We don't have to steal stuff like this from 247 or anywhere else...all of us can just go there to read it. If it's actual news or info, certainly, if it's just an article - you run the risk of clickbait (like this).

I think the telling sign to all this is he's interested in getting to see Michigan up close and personal and see what they are all about. Then an getting an offer, in person, from Jim harbaugh himself could really be something to get the Michigan steam rolling for him.

Article title is a real stretch.  His leaders are explicitly stated: "Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Florida, UCLA and USC are still my top schools,”

He then goes on to say he'll go to Florida State over spring.  The only connection seems to be when the interviewer brings up Michigan and spring ball at IMG, at which point he makes comment on them.

Good news, worth posting, but ESPN is leading a bit astray here.

Don't care, I'm acquaintances with a former recruiting situation and the bagman shit is true. Edit: if it makes me seem less biased, I can detail how former players here received $20 payments per cooler they filled with water under Carr and Rodriguez. Everyone does under the table type stuff, Ole Miss just does it on a much higher level than others.

Going back to last summer, Michigan had chances to offer Moses and did not. They have been in contact with him. However, from what I've heard, they don't think he has sincere interest in playing at Michigan.

Wolverine Devoteee will eat lemons and limes and a three-toed sloth urine Slurpee if Moses commits to Michigan.

If we win then we will be in the top group. It's way too early to be concerned with the top tier 2017 recruits. On the field results will cause de-commits and new top 5's once October and November pass.

Don't offer him, I say.  If we offer him, then we are just like any other school--he knows he can play for us any time he wants.  I say don't offer him a scholarship, don't call him on the phone, act like he doesn't even exist.  Let him long for that Michigan offer, let him crave it, obsess about it.

Then, maybe around signing day next year, maybe we let him know there might be an extra spot in the class if he, you know, and might be interested and isn't doing anything else that weekend.

It will be interesting to see if we can get a top 40-50 type player from the south at any point.  There is a cornerback at Flanagan (Samuels) ranked in top 40 from Flanagan that UM should have a very good chance with and that would mark a pretty significant sea change. Also an OT from Heritage in FL (Slaton) is in that range.  Getting either of those 2 would open a lot of eyes.

Pulling a top 15 type target out of the south would be a whole game changer.... ala Kaindoh at IMG.

Looking back at the 2016 class our best get from the south at least in rank was #316 with Bush Jr, followed by Eubanks at #364.  Closest we came was Elliott around #95 but I am thinking more deep south (SEC) country ala GA, FL, LA, AL, SC.

sounds like because they didn't think he had any real interest in going north to Ann Arbor and just wanted a Michigan offer because it was another nice thing to add to the list. I also always thought it might be a bit related to the drama attached to Moses. It's not really his fault, but being as high profile as he's been since 8th freaking grade is a factor and could lead to a "non-Michigan attitude" type situation. No idea if that applies or not, but wouldn't be surprising.

Either way, if Michigan wants him and thinks he's serious about considering it, he'll get an offer and hear from Harbaugh plenty. Plus - wouldn't it be sweet to arguably get the #1 prospect in the nation 3 years in a row? Peppers > Gary > Moses?

I agree.  He lists his top choice schools which Michigan wasn't in, then wants to talk about how he hopes to get an offer from Michigan.  Seems he's interested in getting as many offers as possible.  Not saying we shouldn't recruit him, but I'm not getting my hopes up anytime soon just because he said he'd like to get an offer from MIchigan.
