Title says it all. Says he followed the Rashan Gary recruitment "very closely".

Getting Louisiana's top players would be like the late 90's/early 00's all over again.  Of course, that is much more difficult now because of Miles and LSU being good.

that has gotten the #1 player overall back to back years?

Also with the exception of DPJ the entire recruiting class should just come from IMG.  There team is insane!  Mlive had a tweet about their lineup.  There was one 5* and something like thirteen 4* and then a handful of 3*.

Brown likes his SAMs to be a bit above 6', around 220 lbs, and fast.

Moses is 6'1", 220, and 4.45 40.  Even if that 40 time is a bit off, he is really fast.  Basically, it seems like Moses will be a bit bigger and a bit faster than Brown's SAMs have been in the past.

It will probably take a National Championship and beating Alabama along the way... for Michigan to have a good chance to get this kid. I agree with others that it's mostly click bait aimed at our fanbase.

Read higher up the thread.  Magnus is infering UM feels like he is not serious about UM so not going to throw it out there for no reason.

Considering UM has 238 offers out in 2017 I think it tells you the chances of landing him in the coaches' eyes.

If the #1 ranked player in the country wants some attention, you better damn well give him some attention. Harbaugh needs to be all over this kid. He's a phenom.

If Michigan is going to offer random, under the radar recruits, the Moses needs an offer when they get to IMG. Unless Moses isn't there yet, then to his house in Baton Rouge

and that fact along made many fans feel as if we had accomplished something.

Many posters felt that somehow this raised the stature of Michigan football. I could garner absolutely no excitement or even interest from the Fournette visit. And if this young man, and I don't know that he is, is merely finishing up high school football so he can enroll in LSU, my level of interest would be the same.

There are 3, maybe 4 schools viewed by recruits as "bucket list" schools. The history and tradition of USC, UM, ND and possibly OSU or BAMA are such that, even if they have made a decision to enroll elsewhere, an offer and subsequent OV  just might be what they need to add to that scrapbook portion of their collections and when looking back and sharing their recruiting stories with their grandchildren, would be, by far all the proof necessary to remove any doubt from their grandchildren's minds as to whether grandpa was every bit as good as he says he was. I put BAMA and OSU in the possible category due to two facts of both schools storied past. They are, without question two of the most successful programs in history. Also, without doubt, they are two programs where level of interest by the NCAA matches that of their recruits.

I saw, as stated, absolutely no reason for excitement simply by having Leonard Fournette in the stands during what was probaly a loss considering the year. I will admit, however, to becoming excited when the best high school prospects in the nation make visits to AA, bringing  members of family with them. When this happens we are aware that their families have concerns they would like answered and when that happens we are fairly certain the answers, which are part of our history, will be viewed as positive by those who ask.

If and when Moses announces he has a genuine interest in Michigan rather than an interest in receiving an offer, this would move my level of interest up a notch. When and if he proves an actual interest, then again my level of interest would rise.

Based on the article I just read, I would say Les is going to be in a real battle to keep this kid at home, and the reasons the young man stated for his level of interest in his college choice are good ones. I would say,, Coach Miles, you better have a damn fine season, and if not, realize instead of him playing for you, he will be playing against you as a member of the Tide.

Harbaugh will give you an offer only if and when he is damn good and ready to give you an offer, young man.

#1 recruits ain't no thang to Harbaugh.

Harbaugh is just doing his homework scouting nearby trees to climb, and judging whether or not there is room for a sleeping bag on Dylan's floor.

The article may be click bait, but I just checked his Twitter and he seems genuinely interested. Retweeting a bunch of Michigan stuff. Or he could just want a lot of attention.

One positive here is the kid has talked about being happy he moved away from home because he was getting a lot of pressure to stick with LSU.

“It also takes some pressure off of me,” Moses said. “When I was in Baton Rouge, everyone was expecting me to go to LSU. Now that I’m out of the state of Louisiana, people are like more skeptical about where I am going to go now.”

Now that could also mean he doesn't want people knowing where he is going but still it is a good thing he wants away from home and the pressure it brings.

One thing that I love about IMG, and there are things I don't love, is that they give kids perspective. They see a little more of the world and helps them see beyound where they grew up.

I was lucky enough to be born in Michigan but have family in Virginia and the means to visit them allowed me to see past what the state of Michigan had to offer me. It just allows kids to understand there is a big world out there and not just the school they grew up knowing.

IMG is weird in that it is a total bubble from reality, yet at the same time it is a grounding experience for an athlete.

Moses is not going to empty out the entire "school" at IMG just to fill the gym to see him pick a school.  They are all big-time athletes there.  He's not a God walking the halls among mere mortals.

You are spot on... If I can add to it the bubble he is in, which you are correct about, will also be there when he gets to college. That is something I don't like but I don't like it in college either. However, it is a way that coaches try to keep kids out of trouble, keep them away from both fans that praise them and fans that are far to critical and that always schools to structure their studies.

So it should prepare them for their world, if not the real world.
