An oxymoron?
I see what you did there!

Had just about the same reaction from one my two OSU fan friends who, when Harbaugh was hired said " He hasn't won anything as a coach", "Urban has Three national championships". He sent me a text saying he hoped those Harbaugh to indy rumors where true cause November is going to be nasty.

Sparty's "signature win" isn't looking all that good right now. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys...

OP, you beat johnthesavage by 13 seconds.

I had it, too. Those 13 seconds were spent on a final refresh (from hotel internet) to make sure no one had posted it already. Damn.

Michigan just crushed a BYU team that played an extremely close game with UCLA, a top ten team. Our one loss is to Utah, a close game against a team that could find itself ranked near the top ten on Monday. Does anyone else think we could make a huge jump into the rankings come Monday? Utah is ranked 18th now. What happens if they jump up to 12th or 13th with a huge win over Oregon? Could Michigan jump into the poll around 15th? It seems possible. I won't comment on whether or not Michigan deserves to be that high, or whether being that high right now is a good thing, but it seems very possible that we'll have to deal with it quite soon.

what the rest of the poll does, too. Obviously, the 22 spot is open, and 25 Mizzou and 20 GT both lost, but Okie State at 24, Wisconsin at 22, and Stanford at 21 all won, so I dunno where that puts us really. It would be a bit premature to put us above 20, I feel.

Tough to break in to the poll around 15 without beating a top 10'ish team in the process. Wouldn't be surprised to see Michigan at around 22 or 23 though.

That's what Oct 17 will be for.
September 27th, 2015 at 1:14 AM ^
if we take care of business the next two weeks, nothing else matters (like the polls) until Oct 17. But, dare I say, it's looking more and more like that game is a push or even favorable for us at home.

It might mean we're better than "you' thought. FTFY. Personally, I was never in the it'll take two to three years Magnus crowd. I thought the impact would show immediately. Not bad for a know nothing persona non grata

I have no idea who is good this season. So many iffy games from top teams. You could make a good claim for just about anyone in the top 15 right now to be in the playoff.
Like the top four is Ohio St, Mich St, TCU, Ole Miss. Would you rather put a bet on any of those four of those making it, or none of them making it?

It don't mean nothing until we face off against our in-conference rivals and beat 'em all, damn it. :-)

Not at all. We must bow to our Sparty overlords. Or something like that.

Blue is looking pretty good these days... Keep rolling! I love seeing well coached teams in Ann Arbor. It is only the beginning. Spielman put the rest of the B1G on notice today. It felt appropriate.

Not only because of Utah, but because of UCLA''s perfomance in Tucson. Their close win against BYU compared to Michigan's blowout is huge. Anything higher than #22 is BS.
