I'd consider ND a rival.  Also, PSU is not a rival, but they're certainly our top non-rival.  I hate them, and if I feel the same way for another 20 years of them in the B1G, they may make their way in the list.

Eat my ass, you fucking dorks!

I think you meant before he created a safety.

09/19/2018 - 12:50pm Maby?

Seriously?

Maby?

Seriously?

09/19/2018 - 11:10am I live in Ohio.  The Urban…

I live in Ohio.  The Urban apologists have been as vocal as the Paterno apologists at PSU.  OSU football is a cult, and Ohio has precious few pockets of people with any sort of critical thinking skills.

09/18/2018 - 12:27pm I think with the rain in ND,…

I think with the rain in ND, and two cupcakes ober the next two weeks, run heavy offense was okay.  I also think it will be okay to slow play the next few games.  Run your base concepts, get some familiarity with the passing game, keep people healthy, then unleash Shea on MSU, Wisconsin, PSU, and OSU.  The rest of the games should be easy wins.  I don't care if we win them by 5 or 50.  We need healthy, functioning players, and new, unexpected wrinkles against the meat of our schedule.

09/17/2018 - 11:13am Why does this post suck?

Why does this post suck?

I'm SICK AND TIRED of our quarterbacks throwing at the numbers of their receivers!  Why can't we go back to the last few seasons where they threw it several feet over their heads???  That was a much better strategy IMO.

09/15/2018 - 9:20pm I really feel like OSU is…

I really feel like OSU is pulling a Russia and embedding trolls into our social media.  There is no way any real person is this stupid or pessimistic.

09/15/2018 - 8:40pm Not a single mention of it. …

Not a single mention of it.  Nobody cares?

09/15/2018 - 4:22pm Yeah, i hate how Shea just…

Yeah, i hate how Shea just say on his route instead of coming back to the ball.

I can't even watch the game.  Fuck you BTN.

09/15/2018 - 3:53pm Fuck the BTN stream.  It's a…

Fuck the BTN stream.  It's a steaming pile of shit.  I can't even watch the game.

09/14/2018 - 10:58am It certainly does.  Datsyuk…

It certainly does.  Datsyuk and Zetterberg were the young phenoms on what I would consider the last good Red Wings teams of their 20+ year reign at or near the top of the sport.  This certainly feels like the last true link to that era.  As sad as that is, it also makes me nostalgic.  Kind of a mixed emotion for me.

09/10/2018 - 12:44pm I mean, aren't Charbonnet…

I mean, aren't Charbonnet and Gray going to be more than enough out of the backfield?  My concern is that we have too many athletes like that to get them all on the field.  If he's moving to defense, it allows them to all coexist without crowding each other off of the field.

This smells like a trap game.

Insofar as I really hope the entire Michigan team does not get trapped in the locker room before kickoff and forced to forfeit the game entirely.

09/10/2018 - 1:23am Me too!  Luckily he also had…

Me too!  Luckily he also had Doug Baldwin, LeSean McCoy, and the Chargers D.  I was up about 70 points before they went off.  Even better, I didn't have anyone go off like crazy, I just had good days from all of my starters.  Now I just have to rely on a kicker to not score him 30 points and I will be fine.

I had a decent week for losing McKinnon literally MINUTES after I drafted him this year.

09/05/2018 - 12:37pm Yikes.  He's really throwing…

Yikes.  He's really throwing the other coaches to the sharks on this one...

09/01/2018 - 11:48pm How, exactly, did we get…

How, exactly, did we get bombed?  They scored one of their TDs on a 60 yard arm punt.  We outgunned them yardage wise IN ADDITION to a 99 yard kick return.  Wimbush was on the ground every single play.  We were within 5 yards of scoring and came away without any points.  A lot of things factored against us, but to say ND exposed us is simply disingenuous.

09/01/2018 - 11:40pm They sat on a 11 point lead?…

They sat on a 11 point lead? No.  ND got shut down in the 2nd half.  Lol our offense and defense blow?  Seriously? I hope you all realize how stupid you sound right now in 3 weeks.  This was a good team. We put up yards, shut them down for 35 minutes, and had a chance to win.  A 7 point loss at a good ND team is not like losing to Rutgers.

08/29/2018 - 12:58am Correct my geography.  Where…

Correct my geography.  Where the fuck does Indiana intersect with Lake Erie???

08/28/2018 - 2:11am And for those who want to…

And for those who want to neg me, that phrase sounds damn sure like the dreaded 'vote of confidence.'

08/28/2018 - 2:09am He done.

He done.

08/24/2018 - 11:15am I somehow doubt that OSU had…

I somehow doubt that OSU had an MDM policy that applied to Urban's cell phone.  I would be very surprised if that phone had anything university related on it, aside from maybe an Outlook client.

08/23/2018 - 12:05pm As a former football player…

As a former football player at the HS level who had a couple concussions, I will say that football has a bad side, but it has a good side as well.  I do not see it as a death sentence where players with few other options are forced to lace them up and hurt each other for sport.

Football was fun.  Minor injuries were fun, being sore for 3 days after big games.  The camaraderie.  The lessons about how to work as a team.  The opportunity for some kids to go to school and better themselves.

Concussions and ACL's are not fun.  Heat stroke death is terrible, but completely preventable.  I LOVED playing football, and so do most of the kids on the field.  I think it is silly to consider the game to be 'utterly horrible for humans'.

08/23/2018 - 12:03am So he did have the goods.  I…

So he did have the goods.  I think OSU made this 10x worse for themselves by the public wrist slapping.

08/22/2018 - 2:53pm The problem is that there is…

The problem is that there is a high variability in college football.  A couple fumbles, a key injury here and there, and some officiating blunders are the different between 5 losses in 3 years and 25 losses in three years.

Too much perception is in the W/L column.  I think Harbaugh is a top 5 coach, but he has had a massively unlucky streak in his tenure here.  A ton of things outside of his control have derailed a lot of the good stuff he put in place.

Now OL and QB development are on him, but even there, key injuries exasperated his weaknesses.  Great coaches have enough talent and tricks up their sleeves to overcome these things.  Harbaugh came SO CLOSE to overcoming these in four of the losses to MSU and OSU.  Win those, and the dialogue changes immensely.  I hate to be an apologist, but out of his 11 losses, many were attributable to key injuries and fluke plays, sometimes both.  Even then he almost pulled out most of them.  FSU, Iowa, MSU x 2, OSU x2.

In 39 games, he has only lost 4 of them by more than one score.  This is through many, many QB horrors, reffing blunders, key injuries, and fluke play.

"Well..." you say "what about the close wins?"

Harbaugh has NEVER won a game by less than 7 points since he got here.  If even 3-4 of the 7 single score games went our way, we'd be in a totally different state of mind.

Durkin was not there on the day that the kid died of heat exhaustion.

08/10/2018 - 11:43pm Because most people don't…

Because most people don't realize that two things can happen on a single day with Maryland football. Typically it takes several months for two things to happen with that team.

08/10/2018 - 11:41pm Am I the only genius who…

Am I the only genius who realizes these are completely separate topics and articles? Or am I the only idiot who doesn't realize they're double posts? Nothing is adding up right now, because it seems like both the board and the posters here are just... completely wrong about this.

08/10/2018 - 8:09pm Whichever mod deleted both…

Whichever mod deleted both threads on the ESPN culture story at Maryland is wrong. The thread about the player death is a completely separate piece. Nobody is debating the culture at Maryland in the other thread. Can you guys restore one of them please?

08/10/2018 - 7:59pm Yeah. No need to be a…

Yeah. No need to be a responsible adult and call an EMS for an hour after a kid collapses and has a seizure.

Kids have seizures all the time. Just drag them off to the side and let them recover, right?

Edit: looks liked Durkin wasn't there for this workout. But the above comment alluded to him not having culpability even if he were, which is wrong. Any coach there that was aware of the situation and did nothing should be fired.

08/09/2018 - 9:49pm I am doing my best not to…

I am doing my best not to complain about the state of the site, because I have a feeling that it doesn't generate much revenue.  I can't imagine the profit margin in paying writers and generating a moderate amount of traffic is enough to afford a top flight development team to support it.

If Brian is paying a considerable amount for this rebuild, then, yeah, he did get screwed pretty bad.  Maybe the development team was in over their heads.

08/09/2018 - 5:57pm I'm not virtue signalling. …

I'm not virtue signalling.  Just pointing out hypocrisy.  I've got all sorts of shortcomings and issues that I deal with.  I just don't really care for unfounded self righteousness.  There are plenty of public figures that could choke on a ham sandwich and die, and I would be coordinating a celebratory parade.  I love pettiness.  I just appreciate when people acknowledge it as such.

08/09/2018 - 5:45pm Not sure if you're…

Not sure if you're supporting or attempting to refute my stance, but that is exactly my point.  The actual exposure of an abusive or enabling person is not the root cause we celebrate here.  It is ALL about our rival losing an asset.

Put it this way.  We have this event if Meyer gets canned for drunk driving, for word getting out that he conclusively knew about Hernandez, or that he is actually the Zodiac Killer.

We don't have this event if Bill Snyder is fired for covering up domestic abuse.

I'll give us a small benefit of the doubt.  If Meyer dies in a fire, or if he is diagnosed with a degenerative brain disorder, we're not toasted champagne glasses.  But this is mostly about a rival coach who deserves to get fired getting fired.  Not celebrating a small bit of justice in an increasingly shitty world.

08/09/2018 - 5:30pm So he is offering the same…

So he is offering the same deal when the [insert school name here] [insert sport here] coach was canned for [insert domestic or sexual abuse here] [insert victim or victims here]?

Or is this something specially applied to the rival coach that has kicked our asses in for several years?  Seems like it may have more to do with the second.

08/09/2018 - 5:28pm If the impetus to offer free…

If the impetus to offer free drinks was that a bad coach got what was coming to them, where was the free round of drinks when Rich Rod got canned?  Or Briles?  Or any number of other guys who got what was coming to them?

I can see how this seems like celebrating a rival's misfortune at the expense of the woman involved.

08/09/2018 - 3:17pm Dude. All he is saying is…

Dude. All he is saying is you can't allow yourself to get swept up in the herd mentality when something like this comes out. If OSU comes back and says they are firing Meyer, and provides all the evidence they collected in their investigation, then I agree with CLion. They handled things as well as they could have.

It's stupid to react without due process, even if due process isn't legally required.  I would hate to work for anyone who disagrees.

Anyone who is criticizing OSU right now is simply projecting their previously held opinions of the school.

What I am hearing, upon the googling of this term, is that if you are the victim of a leaky bung, someone is not hammering it hard enough to plug it up all the way.

Well that sucks.  He was one of my favorites at Michigan, and seems like a good guy.  I had no idea he had such a productive year in the NFL last year.  Hopefully he can make it back to 100% and keep repping for the good guys...

The founding fathers put rules in place to keep this website secure.  However, for the rules to work, the mods that represent us must use these rules.  If the current moderating body is too scared of their user base to hold the current administration accountable for its many egregious violations of blog law, then the whole thing just falls apart.

Not to mention, voting on these posts has been tampered with.  It is clear that our voting system has been compromised.  It doesn't really look like the current administration of this site is doing anything to protect our liberties.

Also, will you guys stand up for the Muppet Hawaiian War Anthem?!? This is MGoBlog!  Love it or leave it!

07/03/2018 - 3:43pm Can you show me your posts…

Can you show me your posts about MSU, Baylor, and PSU being inappropriate?  How is this any different?

Actually... MSU, John Engler.  Baylor, Ken Starr.  OSU, Jim Jordan.  What an odd coincidence...
