Chris Carter Out at Fox
November 7th, 2019 at 10:51 AM ^
Ok I will do it. He must be the fall guy
November 7th, 2019 at 10:52 AM ^
Beat everyone to it!
November 7th, 2019 at 10:58 AM ^
Pretty sure that was Lee Majors.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:17 AM ^
Nah man. Lee Majors used to coach Tennessee football.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:59 AM ^
Ha love it!!! That guy is such a piece of work.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:15 AM ^
Of all people, where was HIS fall guy???
November 7th, 2019 at 10:51 AM ^
I guess he doesn't like H's, sorry its Cris
November 8th, 2019 at 1:27 AM ^
Thank you. As a Chris myself, anything that can be done do to distance "Cris" from our good name is appreciated.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:54 AM ^
Somewhere, the golden goddess that is Katie Nolan is smiling.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:51 AM ^
I'm here for all the Katie Nolan talk.
November 8th, 2019 at 12:05 AM ^
She’s attractive but goddess?
November 7th, 2019 at 10:54 AM ^
Shoulda had a fall guy.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:55 AM ^
Chris Carter?
The X-Files has been off the air for a long time now, man. Get over it. ;)
November 7th, 2019 at 11:14 AM ^
Actually, the most recent season aired last year.
November 7th, 2019 at 10:56 AM ^
Didn't even have to click into this thread to know someone had already posted about Cris needing a fall guy.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:04 AM ^
Good. He sucks.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:12 AM ^
The story discusses Carter being upset about not being on the Thursday pregame show.
That's pretty thin reasoning for someone to be fired midseason. I have no doubt at all that people that work on camera get miffed about assignments all the time, and some of them are just plain hard to work with (though I have no inside knowledge regarding which ones, other than having seen that video of Chris Berman being grouchy off the air).
There is more to this than what that article says, even if it's just Carter totally melting down and refusing to work. Probably more than that. Even when a network just decides not to use someone, they just idle them. Midseason firings are... not common.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:26 AM ^
Agreed. Especially since the initial announcement was he was suspended pending an internal investigation.
You don't need to conduct an investigation to fire someone over a disagreement over assignments. You do have to conduct an investigation however if incidents involving co-workers are alleged to have occurred.
Cris has a bit of a history you know.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:40 AM ^
he was bound to blow it eventually
November 7th, 2019 at 11:14 AM ^
I believe it’s Cris. Either way, fuck that piece of shit
November 7th, 2019 at 11:20 AM ^
No H in his name but he might need to find room for an L.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:11 PM ^
Clris?
November 7th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
Crisl
November 7th, 2019 at 11:20 AM ^
Well that's a real shame
November 7th, 2019 at 11:27 AM ^
Now if only that other former buckeye WR would get the axe...
November 7th, 2019 at 11:28 AM ^
Can Joey Galloway follow him out the door? I realize he is an ESPN employee and not FOX but he is absolutely terrible.
On that note, what is with all these OSU guys on TV. I can take Urban Meyer and Kirk Herbstreit because they appear to possess actual broadcasting talent but Cris Carter, Joey Galloway, Robert Smith, and Bobby Carpenter (I am sure I am forgetting someone) are just guys at best.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:34 AM ^
Chris Spielman. He's pretty solid though.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:49 AM ^
I'll second this. Spielman may not be the smoothest PBP guy, but that's why I like him. He tends to say what he thinks, and he's good at dissecting the play, and telling what the players did right or wrong. And while I hate the fact that he went to the Columbus Remedial School for Wayward Boys, I loved him as a Lion. He left it all on the field.
EDIT: Spielman is a color guy, not PBP. Thanks for the correction below.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:53 AM ^
Spielman is a color guy, but still I agree he's good.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:35 AM ^
I agree. Galloway has to go. My favorite Sunday morning show to watch was College Football Final. Now that he’s been on its unwatchable. I also remember when he was doing games and he got upset that his partner thought that Denard was faster than him.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:43 AM ^
That show was equally bad with Mark May and Lou Holtzchzshhh
It's a bummer because that should be an amazing show.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:06 PM ^
I think I’m the only person in the country who enjoyed watching May and Holthsthss.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:14 PM ^
I enjoyed it too, especially whenever Mark May exposed Holtz for the buffoon he truly is. And that happened pretty regularly.
November 7th, 2019 at 4:41 PM ^
Not only was Holtz a buffoon, but one of the most prolific cheaters ever. Every school he coached at was found guilty of NCAA violations and punished after he left. What a POS!!!!
November 7th, 2019 at 12:00 PM ^
I agree there are a lot of OSU guys, but there are more Michigan guys (and gals).
Desmond Howard, Charles Woodson (recently), Rich Eisen, Adam Schefter, Tracy Wolfson, Dana Jacobson, Jay Feely, Brian Griese. Probably more that I'm forgetting (I'm not including the small BTN folks, though I think Michelle McMahon has chops and will be good).
November 7th, 2019 at 12:25 PM ^
I thought it was a reference to players. If you are simply talking alumni, then Northwestern likely has the most.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:54 PM ^
More than Syracuse?
November 7th, 2019 at 1:57 PM ^
I wasn't saying Michigan has the most, I was just replying to the person who said OSU has a lot, saying that Michigan has a lot as well, likely more.
November 7th, 2019 at 2:16 PM ^
The worst pairing is if you get Joey Galloway and David Pollack at the same time. The stupid takes those two morons come up with blow my mind
November 7th, 2019 at 3:11 PM ^
I'm not disagreeing with you on Galloway. I am curious, however, to read your comparison of Galloway and Desmond Howard as college football analysts.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:22 PM ^
Des would pick Michigan to beat the '72 Dolphins
November 7th, 2019 at 11:28 AM ^
I will miss his speed bump eyebrow.
November 7th, 2019 at 11:35 AM ^
C'mon Man!
November 7th, 2019 at 12:03 PM ^
And nothing of value was lost.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:04 PM ^
Fall guy- good Ohio teaching. Did he learn that in an ethics class at Ohio? Just wondering.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:15 PM ^
You hate to see it...
November 7th, 2019 at 12:15 PM ^
His fall guys must have fallen off. Thoughts n prayers CC.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:59 PM ^
Plot twist: CC was the fall guy all along.
November 7th, 2019 at 12:37 PM ^
Good.
