Harbaugh: Rumler "arguably best player in the class"

Harbaugh did a signing day interview with TMI.  One quote stood out.  When discussing top recruits in Michigan's class, Harbaugh said that Nolan Rumler is arguably the best player in this class.

Also says that Dax has the possibility to be one of the best safeties Michigan has had.

Rumler has a B1G body and B1G technique already.

This year’s OL recruiting bonanza also has a great luxury - all 6 should be able to red shirt. This truly seems to be the beginning of consistently excellent offensive line play.

Definitely, they are one 6'7" and lean OT prospect away from that.  Gotta get 1000% pure OT in this class.  Keegan and Jones look really good but neither has the athleticism of a Lewan, per say.

BTW, I'm putting it down that Jones is going to be a really great player here.  His film is fantastic.  Definitely underrated

Rumler looks like a good one, but I think the success of this OL class lies in the tackles.  We haven't had a difficult time recruiting interior linemen.

Has anyone seen Keegan's Sr film?  His Jr film (where he played a lot at OG) didn't really stand out to me.  He looks big and strong but 247 also lists his 40 at 5.5 which may or may not be an issue if its accurate.  Just was surprised by this considering his ranking and offer list.

Message to the 6 OL recruits.  1.  This is Coach Hebert, do everything he says, you're going to be spending a lot of time with him.  2. Coming into a a position of depth, learn learn and learn.  3.  Opportunity to be coached by one of the best in the business so listen listen listen and learn.  Be ready to kick some major ass in 20 and 21!

Until it is proven on the field Saturday after Saturday, Harbaugh's words are meaningless. Action in the form of wins, especially against your main rival, is what matters. And so far, Harbaugh has spectacularly failed.

It’s really sad when people put this type of perspective out there, mostly because that’s how they really feel.

Umich was a complete joke for 10 years, and people act like we should be rolling up ‘ships and housing a historically dominant program (OSU), while they have one of the historically best CFB coachs (Meyer).

Just not realistic. The college football landscape has changed and being competitive is what we’ve achieved, where we go from here I have no idea. But I’m happy Jim is our couch, he’s pulled us out of convincingly losing to Toledo days. If you y’all want to torch and pitch fork him out of town, I hope you have a feasible alternative, as opposed to ‘someone younger, better, smarter, and isn’t >6mill/yr’. I’d rather give our guy as many cracks at this thing as he wants to take.

I'm pretty sure most of us accept Harbaugh as a good football coach.  He has shown enough to think we should push for 10 wins every year and be a yearly Top 10 team.

The question is Harbaugh a great coach?  I would say right now, No.

Mainly, because he's playing a brand of football that is outdated.  The Ohio St. game was not a mirage.  They kicked our ass because they never stopped attacking us.  That is what good teams do.

Harbaugh needs to find his Don Brown on offense and prove that he can adapt to the current game.

The higher than normal amount of transfers and the players leaving tell me he might want to consider some other things as well.  We don't get bonus points for having the hardest practices in football.  In fact, it leads to more injuries and could effect our stamina down the stretch. Just my .02...

Best safety since Marcus Ray. Hopefully Dax brings Michigan a championship the same way that M-Ray 29 carried the 1997 defense, offense, special teams, coaching staff, fan base, alumni, students, faculty, staff, Ann Arbor residents, the elderly, and kittens.

Next year if our offense doesn't utilize the group of extremely talented WR's we have, I will throw lemons at Pep Hamilton until he takes his extremely overrated, overpaid ass up on outta here.  If I see one more play action on 3rd and long I may take a bath with a toaster oven groundhog day style.

In all seriousness next years offense has a chance to be elite.  It is very exciting.  Lets just hope our coaching staff understands the embarrassment of riches afforded to them.

I'm super impressed with how this class closed out. I was a little worried about fall out from the way we lost our last game, but the coaches pulled in another border line top 5 class.

Call me crazy, but I think we are the odds on favorite to win the big ten next year...pending Haskins decision.
