This is a pretty half-cocked argument. Iowa and Wisconsin are headed to the tournament and will probably score decent seeds. MSU, as much as we hate them, is a legitimate top-ten squad.

Penn State was a bad loss. It was also one of the strangest games we'll ever experience as Michigan fans.

Which guys do you have the highest hopes for this spring?

Really glad they're calling Davidson for his bullshit. He's going to hurt someone

Feels like 2020 could be the class 2018 should have been

01/16/2019 - 11:40am It is really, really, really…

It is really, really, really hard to comprehend someone being worse at a job than Engler was in this role. I get that we have the sports rivalry with MSU, but chances are, if you grew up in Michigan some of your closest friends went there. At its best, MSU is a school that offers a great, affordable education to kids in our state. Its graduates make up a very important part of the workforce. The reputational damage inflicted by Engler in his whole "we can beat back this story" approach is a terrible, terrible look for the state. Good riddance.

Man I'm rooting for this kid. He wanted to be here so badly. Sad it didn't pan out.

01/08/2019 - 1:44pm Stating the obvious, it's…

Stating the obvious, it's been the younger guys--Moore, Washington, Partridge, Jay--who have been really connecting with recruits. I would hope with that in mind that at least one of the two replacements is under 40.

I would really love a grad transfer on the interior line. And I'm pretty bullish on both Hinton and Smith being field ready. Hoping that Jeter takes a huge leap

I don't understand, for the life of me, why a school like Rutgers doesn't try to hire Army's coach. When you're at a talent disadvantage, you need something to goose things. Monken clearly has system that works against big boys.

Thank you and well said. In the 10 years before Harbaugh, we won 10 games twice. We've done it 3 times in 4 years. Our fanbase needs to grow up

Was at the game--it was really cold--and didn't see him or Turner.

11/12/2018 - 5:17pm Is Edwards 4?

Is Edwards 4?

Assuming this was a case of other guys performing well in practice as the season went on.

You're right---confess total ignorance, how do I do this?

09/12/2018 - 9:54am She's going to want to drink…

She's going to want to drink no fewer than 10 beers. Remember, you can't buy beer in the stadium so you gotta get really juiced up before heading in to keep the buzz alive.

05/30/2018 - 9:01pm Good question

Isn't Carpenter more of an interior guy?

And aren't the reviews on Barnhart that he is much more of a tackle prospect than initially thought?

All of which is to say, yes, I'd still like Harrod

05/30/2018 - 8:59pm Beat me to the punch

What a day for Michigan!

05/23/2018 - 2:17pm Barnhart

Let's take a quick breather from killing each other over whether we're doing a good job in-state or not and give the staff some props for how quickly they moved Barnhart from a State lean to a Blue commit. Based on his camps and the giant rankings bump, I think we have a stud coming in

05/22/2018 - 6:17pm Congrats to Depaul

on getting better bagmen

05/06/2018 - 5:44pm The Boys of Summer

Can't believe no one has listed this yet!!!

Roger Kahn goes back some years later to interview the Dodgers from their golden teams in the 50s.

04/06/2018 - 2:00pm This post is making my head hurt

We had a solid class last year that was way, way underrated. Livers and Poole both contributed in year one. I still have hopes for Eli Brooks.

We have a class coming in this year that has more guys who fit the mold of what JB wants to do AND are highly ranked.

Sit back and enjoy the teams we're given by a guy who's aging better than a single malt scotch.

Our fanbase can be so ridiculously whiny sometimes!

03/14/2018 - 5:24pm What's your problem with Johnson?

What don't you like about him? And that's a generally curious question.

03/14/2018 - 10:54am Anything about Stueber or Honigford?

Anything about the other guys?

03/04/2018 - 6:45pm Rock hard

I am rock hard

03/03/2018 - 5:49pm I am rock hard

Seriously. Rock hard.

02/25/2018 - 2:14pm His ability to get to the rim

Has been underappreciated for his entire career. His driving ability late in the shot clock has been crucial when the offense stagnates

02/23/2018 - 10:59am Seemed like a nice guy, not great at his job

Seemed like a decent dude but was paid WAY too much for the on-field product and off-field recruiting he delivered.

02/22/2018 - 10:16pm Really nice job with this post

You've absolutely earned your screen name

02/21/2018 - 5:35pm Enjoy the rest of this basketball season too

We have a good team, in a super wide open year. Should be interesting.

Football wise, obviously there's a lot riding on this year. But if this roster can't have you feeling optimistic...

02/19/2018 - 2:01pm Full court press to keep him

Loved his tape. Love the monster lines Mattison has given us.

Plus my heart is fragile after Emil and Otis.

02/14/2018 - 1:37pm Shooting coach

I would love to see Simpson spend a lot of time working with a shooting coach in the off season. He has good court vision and for a little guy, is a great finisher at the rim. The pull up element of Walton's game within Beilein's offense was underappreciated. If Simpson can develop something would be nice

01/31/2018 - 1:23pm Family moved to Ann Arbor

We moved to Ann Arbor when I was in high school.

At Ross now. Love showing off Ann Arbor and the Big House more than just about anything.

01/31/2018 - 9:18am Bummed he didn't pan out

Wish him the best.

Confident that Gentry/McKeon will combine for 65 catches this year

01/28/2018 - 5:41pm let's go ahead and ban Franklin H

And from the bottom of my heart, find a fucking different hobby

01/26/2018 - 9:45am Who downvoted this??

01/24/2018 - 2:24pm Coffee or a beer?

You want to grab a beer sometime? Maybe coffee if you're not a drinker?

01/23/2018 - 8:01pm Can we get a hello post for Hughes?

How will he be used? Slot corner? Safety in passsing situations?

01/23/2018 - 7:56pm love the versatility

He should be a fun one

01/23/2018 - 10:06am Non-conference scheduling

The SOS of our non-conference schedule is the thing that will kill our seed. When is next year's schedule set? I hope very much that there aren't any UC-Riverside's or Jacksonville's on there.

01/22/2018 - 6:38pm This seems right

Brother Rice dude headed to Miami makes sense

01/20/2018 - 8:56pm Good Lord

Where to even start with this guy?

And what the fuck Izzo? Would be nice if the national media actually jumped on him for once

01/19/2018 - 2:44pm Why did you come back?

Go away

01/18/2018 - 4:55pm We need Calvin Anderson's recruitment to gain steam

This board needs something to fixate on or it's going to get weird.

01/17/2018 - 7:13pm JBB

In ESPN's way too early Top 25 that was updated today, they have JBB listed as a key loss. Has there been any official statement on his status with the program?

01/17/2018 - 6:00pm Protecting institutions

I'll never, ever understand the way that people in positions of authority act to protect the institution instead of the victims. Happened with the Catholic Church, with Penn State, and now at MSU and USA Gymnastics. If you're someone in a position like Hollis or Simon, having your institution endure some shitty press and acting boldly against the perpetrator of the wrongdoing is far better for your legacy then trying to cover up the story.

01/17/2018 - 11:05am Bobby Bowden was a scumbag

That dude cut every corner under the sun but made sure to be filmed at church as much as possible.

01/17/2018 - 9:35am Hot Take

Durkin doesn't last past 4 years. It's late in the cycle for a bottom end of tier 2 program to find a good OC and they need one with such a young roster

01/15/2018 - 11:33am This is a great trend

I'd say the ceiling is a 3 seed if we take care of business down the stretch

01/15/2018 - 11:13am Thanks for sharing

Such a great ambassador for the University

01/13/2018 - 11:03am Favorite college announcer

Wasn't even close. Loved how much he loved Michigan football and how every Notre Dame fan I know bitched about it
