You should be asking yourself that. You're not triggering anyone here. You're like a mosquito. Mosquitoes don't trigger anyone. They're just irritating. Then the seasons change and they die off.
December 9th, 2018 at 11:20 PM ^
Fuck off ya little fucking twat.
December 9th, 2018 at 11:52 PM ^
He is a great recruiter, but if he was a great coach he would've been at least a DC by now, and most likely a HC somewhere at least in the Group of 5.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:18 PM ^
He has the same source as Cris Carter...
December 9th, 2018 at 9:18 PM ^
Sounds like a guess to me so let’s just wait and see. If one game changes the opinion of a young man then so be it.
December 9th, 2018 at 11:04 PM ^
Yeah, all of this Zach Harrison crap is getting old. He's just one recruit that has a tremendous upside but right now is not a dominating HS player. We'll be fine with or without him.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:19 PM ^
Are you really surprised
December 9th, 2018 at 9:22 PM ^
Lol. Whatever. I dont even care anymore.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:24 PM ^
This whole BPONE thing is showing no signs of ever letting up. College football has always been my first love but, man, is it abusive.
December 9th, 2018 at 10:41 PM ^
It’s unreal.
The sheer mathematics of it are staggering.
Maybe it’s just perception as a part of my fandom, but it just feels like everything that can go against us over the past 15 years...has. By sheer math, something positive should fall into our laps. Shouldn’t it?
Its not about Harrison specifically, it’s the totality of it all. I can’t stand losing to those insipid jerkoffs anymore.
Harbs HAS to get this turned around somehow....
December 10th, 2018 at 8:52 AM ^
A lot of what has gone against us has been self-inflicted. It's not all random bad luck.
December 10th, 2018 at 10:30 AM ^
Fielding Fan:
You are talking about everything, every season, for the last 70 years, except for 1997.
December 10th, 2018 at 12:54 PM ^
Agreed. Most of our problems are self-inflicted. However, there has been a LOT of bad luck. Just not a majority.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:24 PM ^
Wake me from my self-induced coma just before we beat Florida by 34 again
December 9th, 2018 at 9:24 PM ^
Bill Greene has CB'ed Harrison to OSU in August 2017 and hasn't wavered. So, this is supposed to be new information?
December 9th, 2018 at 9:45 PM ^
No, this isn't new. If Sam's CB or Bill Kurelic's CB or Wiltfong's CB flips back to OSU, then I'll worry, but the most plugged in Michigan guy, OSU guy, and National guy are still on Michigan here. Green just says he's not changing his CB from last year.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:48 PM ^
Hope you're right!
December 9th, 2018 at 10:06 PM ^
I do too. I mean, I'm not saying it's guaranteed that he's coming to Michigan, but this note from Greene doesn't move the needle for me without those other three changing their feelings.
December 9th, 2018 at 10:06 PM ^
I hate to say it, but the Daxton Hill thing has reduced the value of Sam’s crystal balls by 50-75%.
Its not that Sam got it wrong - everyone did - but Sam flew to Oklahoma, prostrated himself infront of Dax and acted as the personal PR firm for Dax’s parents.
If Sam didn’t see this coming It is fair to say he never sees anything coming.
December 9th, 2018 at 10:16 PM ^
That's...not...how anything works. Do you logic?
December 9th, 2018 at 10:51 PM ^
I do logic, thanks for asking.
If the prediction one makes (Daxton) and am most personally invested in (again Daxton) not only fails - but fails in spectacular fashion after I not only make the failed prediction, but run a personal PR firm for the recruits family - LOGIC demands the value of my current and future predictions are then discounted.
December 9th, 2018 at 10:23 PM ^
That doesn’t make sense. Sam is just a reflection of what the coaches believe. The coaches believed Daxton Hill would stay committed. The coaches were wrong but it’s tough to get more insider than that
December 9th, 2018 at 10:27 PM ^
Yea and that is the problem. The coaches obviously don’t have a good read on what is really going on with a lot of recruits. Kinda like how they think their schemes are infallible.
December 9th, 2018 at 10:54 PM ^
Not so on the Daxton thing.
You may not know this, but Sam took a Friday off from his show to travel to Oklahoma to personally visit Dax and scout him.
This was much worse for Sam then merely believing the coaches.
December 10th, 2018 at 10:30 AM ^
You realize that Sam is an employee of 247 right? And 247 makes their money on insider recruiting articles. He isn't just a radio host and he didn't take a vacation to hang out with Hill. 247 sent him because they wanted him to do his job. He wasn't the kids personal pr firm. He's done the same with other highly ranked kids Michigan didn't get because his employer (formerly scout, now 247) requires him to. Generally they send him to talk to recruits he as a relationship with and generally he has a relationship with recruits michigan is after because he's a big fan. But I think you're really confused on what Sam does, how recruiting websites work, and how recruiting works.
December 10th, 2018 at 1:24 PM ^
I'm not confused in the least. Perhaps you are not in the Detroit/AA area.
Sam went so far as to have Dax's parents on his radio show.
You aren't going to claim that 247 ordered him to do that, are you?
December 9th, 2018 at 10:25 PM ^
So because he was wrong about one kid (that nobody saw coming), we can’t ever trust his opinion on recruiting again?
December 9th, 2018 at 10:57 PM ^
I would say that when it comes to your generic 3 stars, Sam is reliable.
His track record on national recruiting is terribly embarrassing in recent years.
December 10th, 2018 at 12:53 PM ^
Ridiculous! Sam is overwhelmingly correct on national recruiting. A few misses don't mean shit.
December 10th, 2018 at 1:11 PM ^
"His track record on national recruiting is terribly embarrassing in recent years."
LOL
December 10th, 2018 at 8:10 PM ^
You’re clearly a troll, but if somehow it’s possible you are not, then you most certainly are a fucking moron.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:26 PM ^
You guys remember when UM had a 5 star safety committed and everyone including “insiders” said he would sign? I’ll never understood why people, especially adults, pay attention to recruiting until signing day. I’ll really never understand how adults can get worked up over “insider” reports on what 17-18 year olds may do in the future. It’s bizzare.
Get a grip people.
December 10th, 2018 at 8:57 AM ^
Because it matters.
More than anything except who the coach is.
4/5 stars are a prerequisite to National Championships. That is a fact.
I know I'd want to know how we are doing with getting those 4/5 stars.
Because it matters.
December 10th, 2018 at 9:03 AM ^
If “insider” reports and message board posts mattered, Dax would still be committed.
December 10th, 2018 at 9:08 AM ^
They are not always right, but I am still going to pay attention.
And let's not get over dramatic here, they are still right a lot more than they are wrong when you get to this time of year.
It's not like it's a complete waste of time.
December 10th, 2018 at 12:57 PM ^
You REALLY don't know anything about statistics, do you?
There are NO guarantees. In just about anything. Any one of us could get into a serious car accident tomorrow. Almost none of us will.
Until a recruit is locked into a contract, we don't KNOW what school he will go to. Remember how Higdon flipped at the last minute?
December 9th, 2018 at 9:26 PM ^
62-39 has consequences
December 9th, 2018 at 9:36 PM ^
Does 20-49?
December 9th, 2018 at 9:45 PM ^
No. It does not.
December 9th, 2018 at 9:46 PM ^
If it had been us beating them 49-20 then yes it would have
December 9th, 2018 at 9:54 PM ^
Winning score first! This is Murica, dammit.
December 9th, 2018 at 10:29 PM ^
These kids are the YouTube generation. They don’t remember OSU getting spanked by Purdue, that was a long time ago. All Hill remembers is UM getting fricking demolished and humiliated by OSU on national TV.
Saban probably called the kid and said do you really want to play for a team that can’t be anyone with a pulse and gets blown out by their rival every year?
December 9th, 2018 at 9:53 PM ^
I agree with you. And it's obviously true.
But, bringing up 62-39 will get you called a troll.
December 9th, 2018 at 11:25 PM ^
No, acting like a little fucking twat will get you called a troll. Now fuck off.
December 9th, 2018 at 11:31 PM ^
Red Greene, I always get a kick out of you angrily calling out trolls! You are honestly pretty good at identifying them, but it is a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black. You are one of the weirdest trolls on the site!
December 9th, 2018 at 11:36 PM ^
Who said this:
"Hill chose Bama for a lot of reasons but the first was because they go to the playoffs almost every year and win championships, and Michigan's latest chance to become one of those programs was two weeks ago and ended in an unmitigated disaster."
Was it a troll? Was it me?
Think before answering:
December 10th, 2018 at 1:00 PM ^
Preponderance of evidence.
Majority of posts are highly negative. Tone of voice is highly negative.
You are a troll. Luckily for us (and you, I suppose), you are tying to hide your tolldoem some, so now at least it's more interesting that swatting a mosquito.
But you are still a troll. Get a life.
December 9th, 2018 at 10:00 PM ^
Does "I'm retiring." have any consequences?
December 9th, 2018 at 10:11 PM ^
PSU has 3 5-stars in their current class and has a higher-ranked class than M, despite being beaten soundly by M and having a worse season overall.
It's really easy to point to the last game and think that explains everything. That seems simplistic to me.
December 9th, 2018 at 10:18 PM ^
Penn State also has a big ten title under their belt while Michigan has a shared division title even though they had more division losses than Ohio State. Also Penn State has actually beaten Ohio State
