This is stupid. You should feel bad.
November 26th, 2018 at 7:59 PM ^
How bout we raise the minimum for posting to 1,000 MGoPoints AND you have to score a 20 or better on the Wonderlic? That would keep at least some of the truly idiodic threads in the garage.
November 26th, 2018 at 9:11 PM ^
It would curb the idiotic posts as well.
November 26th, 2018 at 9:43 PM ^
Idk man, the Wonderlic is a pretty easy test, maybe raise the threshold a bit?
Source: scored a 39 on it during my lunch break at work to prove a point to my buddies about how dumb Leonard Fournette is.
November 26th, 2018 at 11:37 PM ^
We used to give it to all prospective applicants and wouldn't hire anyone south of 25. 20 is your basic "this guy can solve simple problems and probably handle heavy machinery" type hence the low threshold.
FYI Damian Woody who went on TV today to tell Baker Mayfield he needed to "grow up" scored a 13 which is "I'm as dumb as a bag of fucking hammers".

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonderlic_test
Average NFL player Wonderic score: 20 out of 50
Notable Wolverines: Tom Brady (33), Mario Manningham (6) (near the lowest NFL score ever)
Notable Lions: Calvin Johnson (41), Matt Stafford (38), Charles Rogers (10)
Lowest: Darren Davis (4), Morris Claiborne (4)
Highest: Pat Mcinally (perfect 50)
November 27th, 2018 at 10:11 PM ^
About 8 points higher than I expected from Rogers tbh
November 26th, 2018 at 6:07 PM ^
OSU would still get in over us because of the H2H blowout
November 26th, 2018 at 6:08 PM ^
Michigan has a loss to ND. (already in the playoff)
November 26th, 2018 at 10:03 PM ^
Nah, the committee should just pick 'Bama's 2's for the 4 spot.
November 27th, 2018 at 10:15 AM ^
Yeah, the most you can get the CFP predictor up to is 1%. Along with a ton of other unlikely things, I think OSU would have to lose, and have Haskins have a season ending injury and look like a completely different team without him.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:10 PM ^
Might want to keep this one close, poppin.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:10 PM ^
I loathe you
November 26th, 2018 at 6:11 PM ^
I don't think I even would want that after what we just saw.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:30 PM ^
Agreed. I found myself retroactively happy that Sparty lost to OSU. After that embarrassment it would have been farcical for Michigan to then go on and immediately play in the B1G championship game.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:46 PM ^
But it's OK for Northwestern to play in it?
November 26th, 2018 at 7:00 PM ^
And okay for 10 to 49 Penn State to be BigTen Champs.
November 26th, 2018 at 7:11 PM ^
A 10-2, 8-1 Michigan team wouldn't have to apologize for being there. Don't be ridiculous.
I mean the opponent from the West is 0-3 (!) out of conference this season.November 26th, 2018 at 7:34 PM ^
Saying 0-3 doesn't do that record justice without mentioning that one loss was against Akron
November 26th, 2018 at 7:46 PM ^
And Northwestern’s in-conference record doesn’t do them justice without mentioning that they barely beat Rutgers.
November 26th, 2018 at 8:03 PM ^
Somehow they beat the titan that is Purdue
November 26th, 2018 at 7:28 PM ^
Nope...B1G East Champion and B1G Champion would salve any loss...who cares if that loss keeps you out of the playoff?
I buy these damn B1G Championship Game tickets every damn year...I’ve seen more OSU games than UM games in person in my lifetime as a result...I’ve sold the tickets this year and last as a result. I’m 38 and just want to see UM in Indy once before I die, and at this point I’m not sure it’s going to happen.
November 26th, 2018 at 10:07 PM ^
Unless you have some kind of serious illness, you will see it soon.

No, that triple U is: unfunny, uninspired, and unreadable.
I enjoying having a little fun with a prefix from time to time.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:11 PM ^
I don't hate you, but you need to see a doctor ASAP.
There is no combination of losses that would put us in the championship rounds.
WE GOT CURB STOMPED ON A NATIONAL STAGE
COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT
I'm still a die-hard fan, and I still think this team is damn good, but that's just the bottom line. Full stop.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:12 PM ^
November 26th, 2018 at 6:12 PM ^
I'm fully in favor of the mods maintaining loose trigger fingers with the nuclear codes after these 2 most recent threads.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:13 PM ^
I sure as hell don’t want Bama in the playoff.
Give me shit ass Utah or Washington in the Rose Bowl so we can go 11-2 and finish top ten and win the most prestigious non-playoff game please. Thank youuuu.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:15 PM ^
Washington is pretty good as is Utah. It will be tough especially if Rashan sits out.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:25 PM ^
Washington is knock-off Michigan and Utah is knock-off Washington. We’d be favored by 8ish over Washington and by double-digits over Utah I’d assume. I’m confident in us over either of those teams.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:34 PM ^
I'd be more concerned that a portion of the roster DGAF and are more interested in getting healthy for the combine and pro day and or not getting hurt.
Jake Butt says Hi.
Not sure what the pro potential is at UW or UU but I can't imagine they have as many prospects as Michigan.
November 26th, 2018 at 7:02 PM ^
As long as the opposing coach is not named Urban Meyer, I guess I am confident as well.
November 26th, 2018 at 9:18 PM ^
Knock off Michigan, so first team to 30:01 TOP wins?
November 26th, 2018 at 7:30 PM ^
That would be a good turnaround to end the season that way
November 26th, 2018 at 6:15 PM ^
I'm rooting for whatever gets an 8 or 6 team playoff scenario at this point.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:46 PM ^
I'm rooting for an OSU-ND championship game so that our humiliation will be complete.
November 26th, 2018 at 7:25 PM ^
Lay off the potato vodka
November 26th, 2018 at 6:16 PM ^
Everyone does apparently hate you for this, but it would definitely interesting to see what the committee would do if all of this were to happen. And there actually is a somewhat similar precedent if they were to go with Michigan.. I believe it was the 2003 season when Kansas St blew out Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game, and Oklahoma still went on to play for the National Championship, losing to LSU.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:24 PM ^
Sure, and it immediately caused a shakeup of the BCS, because the computers "got it wrong."
November 26th, 2018 at 6:40 PM ^
You're right, and I'm pretty sure the committee would indeed ignore that precedent. I just wanted to provide a little historical context. Also, the computers definitely got it wrong because it should've been LSU versus that USC team that destroyed Michigan in the Rose Bowl.
November 27th, 2018 at 2:19 AM ^
Yeah, thread premise is silly since who cares about the honor of being Alabama's sacrificial lamb? But just as a historical footnote, Nebraska in 2001 also got into the BCS championship after Colorado ran them off the field in the final regular season. The score was pretty similar to Saturday's result and Colorado won the division and went on to beat Texas in the Big 12 CG which actually helped push Nebraska to the Rose Bowl BCS game. Think there were at least 5 teams that in succession lost their final game when they had a chance to go to the championship game had they won (TN, FL, NE, TX and OK). Oregon should have gotten in over Nebraska but oh well. I guess Nebraska did just have one loss so obvious difference there but that was top 2 instead of top 4.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:21 PM ^
Why would we want to be in the playoff? I've been embarrassed enough for one season.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:25 PM ^
It stings man, it stings... but it's true.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:24 PM ^
Stop it. We had our chance and blew the fuck out of it.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:29 PM ^
I think at that point they would give Bama the bye.
November 26th, 2018 at 6:33 PM ^
Never
