Peters was limping everywhere. I don’t know why he was in and if you’re gonna put him in, why roll him out where he has to generate power on his bad right leg? That throw was short and he was clearly not 100% when rolling out?

It was both. It was late so he could try to get more drive on the throw and he couldn’t get the drive so it was short. Peters pre South Carolina game looked better than Dylan has this year and he had 1. A much worse line with a much worse o line coach 2. WRs running horrible routes 3. Horrible play calling 4. No run game. Dylan has the opposite of all of those this year.

I like Peters.  But last year except for maybe a few of his best moments, he did not look as good as McCaffrey has looked so far.

Limited sample size... but I see more consistency, awareness, mobility, accuracy, and grasp of the offense from McCaffrey than I was seeing out of Peters last year.  And of course.. a higher ceiling.

And Peters was our best QB last year, McCaffrey is 2nd string this year.

Things looking up!

Peters wasn't ready to run the offense last year and that impacted the playcalling. So, at least some of the incoherence in the O that he was running had to do with him not taking the role serious enough during the off-season.

I don't think you'll have to worry about McCaffrey be ill prepared to run the O. His pedigree screams leadership and preparation.

Dylan is fast.

Probably most complete effort since Northwestern two years ago.

I didn’t see this coming but that means little bc I’m a pessimist w M football. Wow!

Lining Ben Mason up in the RB spot and letting him hammer forward for 3-7 yards is just wonderful.  I feel like he was legitimately upset he didn't have someone to smash on one of his TDs.

Would've scored even more points if the refs didn't feel bad for Nebraska and ignore obvious pass interference. Pass protection looked promising for a second straight week.

OL set the tone early and even the 2nd string looked solid.  Warinner is rounding them into form.

McCaffrey, Bell, Turner, Samuels, Collins - lots of young talent starting to show up.

Hidgon is good confirmed

Offensive line...not terrible confirmed

QB situation is good. That was a weak as hell holding call, DMac has some wheels! I thought we did a good job of taking open throws for the most part. Easy to see why DMac passed Peters now. Wonder if Peters will transfer after the season

Ronnie Bell will be a good one. So will Turner

Glad they are using some variety on the jet sweep package instead of being so predictable

Can't wait to see what we can do if the tackle situation gradually improves

Turner will be the starter next year, unless his blocking holds him back. But his upside is higher than Samuels and Wilson.

Bell can really play. Boy our wrs are set going forward.

Steuber looks much better than third string.  In fact, he looked good enough to be starting at T.

Hawkins is a heck of an athlete. He will be starting with Dax next year.

We MUST get Benhart and Keegan. This is the last thing to return to Michigan football as we knew it.

Evans is definitely the starter next year? Unless there are some surprises by Jim/ Pep, there will be plenty of situations where they want someone other than Evans. I can see Turner getting 30-40% of quality time snaps next year.

WRs are definitely set. I hate that Black is injured again, but hopefully it works for the best and Michigan is able to reload a WR1 year over year who has already shown flashes of being WR1.

Metellus will very likely be around next year. I definitely think Dax will see the field, but at safety he will eat into more of Hawkins minutes than Hawkins'. Don Brown likes to get some of his best guys minutes at viper, there could definitely be some different looks next year especially if Hudson can leave early.

The OL looked okay today, and OL always take time to develop. There are 4 returning guys out there, and the second-third string freshman look fine. It's always better to have more bullets in the chamber, but I would be very surprised by serious (bottom of the big 10 style) oline problems 2+ years from now regardless of every guy developing perfectly.

Very interested to see the UFR, to my untrained eye thought the OLine played pretty damn good. Few instances on third and short and the coaches didn’t hesitate to run to the left. Higdon had some good running lanes, and he capitalized. Patterson had time to throw. Gonna rewatch and pay more attention to the line play. Great game

Pretty flawless. Seemed obvious to me why McCaffery is #2. Also, I didn’t realize he could move like that.

Favorite line of the day was when Brando said Patterson was the first dual threat for Michigan since Henne. Nice.

RE: Brando. I was impressed with our new safety, that Martellus guy. Drumfour looked good too.

He also said people were picking us to do well this year because the schedule set up nice for us, when the exact opposite is true. I guess if leave out the fact that PSU is ranked in the top 10 (which Fox did,) our schedule doesn’t look too bad.

OL is looking better. I know Nebraska isn’t a world beater on defense but they’re no slouch either. The OL got some pretty good push today even when the backups were in. Cautiously optimistic. Got two more games before the level of competition really heats up for them.

Shea did what he needed to today. Managed the game an didn’t make mistakes, but eventually he will be called upon to do more. But I think he’s more than up to the challenge. He threw some beautiful passes today that were on the money. Would’ve had an extra TD pass or two but Nebraska’s secondary played fairly well and made some great pass breakups.

No complaints today.
