What are the chances current players/coaches have accounts here?

Submitted by MichiganFan1984 on

The Shea interview this morning was crazy as already discussed, from the standpoint that MKing used the exact same phrase “r.e.l.a.x” in his last post (Arb Lover linked the thread, I don’t know how, sorry) as Shea did in the interview this morning. It’s almost too coincidental, no? Arb Lover and others brought up good points in that thread, but I wanted to take it a step further. Even if MK was a current player, we’d prolly never know. What are the chances other players or coaches have accounts here? I say 75% chance at least one player or coach has an account and is one of us.

You got me. I'm a coach/player. I'll make sure all the feedback on personnel and playcalling you guys have make its way to Harbaugh and staff. The team should really turn around now!

I know the AD scans the board and would guess its 100% that players do as well.  Few probably post.

I try to avoid being too critical about players as they should not have to deal with that.  In fact, significant complaining could legitimately decrease morale and hurt the team. Coaches are more fair game however.

There was a photo of Jack Harbaugh and someone else looking at mgoblog, so I imagine at least of couple staffers regularly beat off to threads here.

Relax is a very common word to use when someone is overreacting. This fan base is overreacting. I don't think its coincidence at all, simply common language.

Pro tip: Don't tell your wife to relax when she is angry at you. She will not relax. I repeat. She will not relax.

I wonder if they look at the UFR's and say to themselves "that's right on" or "no, no, you've got that completely wrong."

Probably a little of both.

I don't bother posting my hot takes here.  I go directly to all player/coach Twitter accounts and tag them whenever I want to bitch about how they've disappointed me.

Of course, every time I have a complaint about something my wife has done to upset me, I rant about it on Facebook and tag her.

What a time to be alive!!!

i'd buy some staffers or players posting occasionally but most coaches probably are too busy to worry about it.

that said, there was a picture posted at one time from inside the coaches' office where mgoblog was on the screen.  I'd say chances are very good that several players and coaches at least READ this blog.  but the number of them with an account and actively participating in threads is much much lower.  that's only for us peasants.

Relax is a common word so I wouldn't read into it too much, but I'd not be too surprised if MK was Shea or somebody in the QB/receiver group.  If it's not, MKing is doing a next-level job selling it.
- registered account about the time Shea showed up
- inside info on Shea's eligibility and QB situation, other players
- guaranteed a win, told everyone we'd be fine and relax
- disappeared about the time fall camp, football season and school year got fired up, except for the guarantee and subsequent apology
- and potentially a connection with this relax comment (bit of a stretch)
- general cockiness and swagger you'd expect from a college age guy / starting QB

It's certainly not enough to win in court, but if one day the news came out that it was Shea or another player, I wouldn't be too shocked.

sorry man, there's no shtick with me. i was just answering the question posed in the thread with my thoughts.  the thing about being honest is that you don't have to worry about getting caught in a lie. so i can "keep it going" forever because there's no shtick, it's just me.  look at my post history. i'm a cubicle warrior approaching 40, don't know the difference between o-line and d-line technique, and i've had my account here since 2016 - way before any of those other accounts in question. and if you took about 5 seconds to compare the writing styles, you'd notice enough differences for YOU to give up your shtick.

also the funny thing about me getting "negbanged" all the time is that 1. my points are stuck, 2. i don't have enough points to see the up and downvotes or whatever, so i'm in blissful ignorance about it, and 3. who cares about internet points anyway.  if one day the point totals update and i go negative and can't post diaries or board posts, oh well, i move on with my life. so the negbangers are literally pushing a button that doesn't do anything, almost like the joke's on you.  but i haven't done anything wrong here to deserve a point beatdown anyway, my greatest sin was making a post that said Dylan was officially #2 and tied it back to M King's prediction.

ok, it's not totally on you because getting dragged in to this mess sort of annoys me which is why i reply to these comments at all. but if i end up in bolivia it doesn't really affect me one way or another.  and although i don't give two flying ducks about who owns all those other accounts, i'll say if any of them are like me - just another MGouser who is getting falsely accused, i feel a little camaraderie with them and assume they are slightly annoyed about it too.

i have no agenda here, jmblue. i got a degree from michigan a bunch of years ago, live in ann arbor, fairly casually follow michigan football and basketball, enjoy reading mgoblog because the content is superb, and i don't care who owns all those accounts.  the only thing i have said, which is right there in my post history, is that i think it would be neat if it turned out Shea or one of the QBs actually was posting alongside us on mgoboard.  but if not, who cares?

imho, the quality of the board posts would be improved if the mods would simply look at the account data and say "it doesn't look like these users are the same person."  or maybe some of the accounts would appear to be the same user.  but the mods could probably put the question to rest one way or another - and then the board could skip all these stupid comments and replies perpetuating the argument.

Mineral King is most likely Ben Mason. A mason works in stone, which is made from minerals, which I know based on knowledge I gleaned from a 1 credit hour class that I took to fill a requirement my senior year at Michigan. I remember almost nothing from the class, and rarely attended it.

Dear Rashan Gary,

I think you are awesome.  Especially when you kill people on the field

Dear Chase Winovich,

I think it is really neat when you sack the QB!

Dear Shea Patterson,

Thanks for coming to Michigan, I like what you've done so far here!

Welp,

Bye guys......good luck Saturday afternoon!

If the leader of a certain country in Eurasia (hint: rhymes with Prussia) is on the board, I'd wager we've all kinds of dignitaries, celebrities, and entire sports *leagues* on the board.

Come for the hawt takes; stay for the POSBANGs.

Hey now, give me credit sir, I've done a few diaries with positive feedback. I was actually a MK disbeliever for a long time given his (possibly due to youth) hard and fast position on the sound investment of blue chip Bitcoin. Recent events (over the past 2 months) have convinced me to temper my outspoken opinion that he is a troll on the off chance I'm wrong.
