"He's a hard worker, and he watched me and Tim (Hardaway Jr.) and Nik (Stauksas) put work in to become (first-round picks), and I'm just happy he's getting better," Burke said. "It's great for the program, too. It shows what type of program the University of Michigan is and the direction it continues to go in."

I think Justin Fargas (Antonio Fargas' son a.k.a. Huggy Bear) is my whole equation. He left Michigan for USC. Now, let's hope we take Ty Issac from them. I was really pulling for him to go Blue and was sad to see him go to the dark side that is USC.
|10 weeks 7 hours ago||Hey, we lost Huggy Bear's kid to USC a decade or so ago, due to||
transfer. It's time for Michigan to take a RB back from them. It's college football Hammurabi's code. Eye for an eye and running back for a running back, I say!

Why didn't someone at FSU tell him about the glory that is chinese buffet crab legs? You can have as many as you want, Jameis, and unlimited lemon butter sauce, too!

why Michigan didn't at least put up a fight. I'm curious if Nike has other colors trademarked, like North Carolina's Carolina Blue, for instance.
|13 weeks 2 days ago||If not Nike,||
then British Knights.
|13 weeks 2 days ago||Ah, you're right.||
But, when we DID start donning Adidas, we had two losing seasons in a row and got in hot water with the NCAA for extra practice. My theory still stands.
|13 weeks 2 days ago||I guess I didn't state it directly||
but in attributing Michigan's pre-2007 success to Nike, I was pulling for a return to Nike and their trademarked Maize. Nike = wins, B1G championships, and Rose Bowls, obvs. Plus, their uniformz aren't as bad as Adidas (not saying I'm a fan of them or anything).
|13 weeks 2 days ago||Please, bring maize back.||
I hate "sun." And how has the team done since we signed the Adidas deal anyway? I believe the contract was signed less than two months before App. St. I think it's safe to conclude our football woes are the fault of Adidas. Last time we wore Nike, we played in the Rose Bowl and the game before that we were possibly a personal foul away from playing in the Title game.
Think about it.

for Gibbons' dismissal. It's hard for me to believe Coach Hoke meant to conceal the truth, but when your head coach states a lie perceived to protect an alleged rapist, he's going to be heavily scrutinized at the very least. I think it only makes matters worse if the university instructed him to state what he did. Whether the university acted correctly, the media could skewer it for this.

Add a "presented by Coke Zero." I wonder how much it costs to sponsor the David Brandon's Cornerback Coach's Office's trash can? Would it be the "Toasted Yostie's Dave Brandon's Cornerback Coach's Office's Trash Can" or the "Dave Brandon's Cornerback Coach's Office's Toasted Yostie's Trash Can?"

And that's only going to a Michigan basketball game once every two or three years. I'm taking full credit and will begin attending more games all for your benefit. You're welcome.
|27 weeks 5 days ago||My dad called me after hearing on local sports radio||
about how terribly the the press conference went. I watched the press conference online here in Texas and didn't get any of the vibe being discussed in Michigan. There was a quick introduction by Hoke, a basic "Thanks to my family," and "Michigan is awesome." from Nuss followed by a short Q and A. Short and sweet. Did they interrupt the local channels to broadcast it or something? The bottom line, if you're a member of the media who doesn't think its newsworthy, don't report on it.

but I have an overwhelming feeling of awe for this team, especially for Gardner, for how hard it fought on the field today. I think of the final scene from Friday Night Lights, where the player comes up a yard short of a game-winning touchdown...heartbreaking but inspiring. Thank you, Team 134. Already looking forward to Team 135. Go Blue!

|35 weeks 6 days ago||I can't tell, are you criticizing my points? Because it seems||
like you mostly just rehashed and agreed with them aside from the stuff about MSU. Yes, it is big-time football, and right now, we're not big-time but middle-of-the-road at best, that is the reality that I don't think your average Michigan fan accepts. The reality is that Michigan, at this moment, isn't even the third best team among the members of next year's division. Regarding your MSU comments, I think you're not facing the reality there. The Spartans are on the verge of their third 10+ wins season in four years. We haven't done that since 1997-2000. If they win-out their conference schedule, they could have three 11-win seasons in four seasons...something we've never done. They've also won a share of a B1G Title in that time and are likely going to win their second divisional title. That's clout and stability in my book, and beyond. If we had those accomplishments, the garment-rending wouldn't be this bad.

Admittance is the first step towards recovery.
I'm looking at the reality of our division next season. Bill O'Brien is looking like he's going to build PSU back into something, especially now that the sanctions were reduced. Hackenberg is legit and only a freshman. MSU is gaining clout and stability every year under Dantonio Their defense, it's great. They are going after Cass Tech. Need I mention they've beaten us 4 out of 5? They have been real for a while now. And Urban Meyer and OSU aren't going anywhere. Urban is 1.00 nearly at the end of his second seasons The way things are going, Rutgers and even Maryland aren't looking like easy wins. Getting out of our division is going to be dogfight every season.
