Let me get this straight on what prices are on Mackinac Island's Grand Hotel

$8 for a Bell's Light Hearted

$10 for a Two Hearted

(or is that Two Heated per the sign?...What, no Three Hearted?)

Not per six pack of the 12 oz or fours of the pints, which is a fairly normal price, but per can!

Want a six pack of the limited edition Bell's Big Porch Ale? A U.S. Grant will leave you a Buck short plus tax and deposit.

Who do they think they are, the U.S. Open?

$8 and $10 for beer is overpriced, but this doesn't seem "run straight to the board to complain" overpriced.

You're on an island, they have you captive. I bet the fudge is more expensive there too. $8 and $10 feels like minibar prices at a normal Marriott.

Now you want to talk crazy... Last year there was a restaurant at La Guardia that drew national attention (and an internal audit by The Port Authority) for charging $27 for a Sam Adams. LINK

Dude, 10 years ago I paid **$16** for a 12 oz bottle of Coors Light at some random bar in South Beach, Miami.  So $8 or $10 for legit good craft beers in 2022's inflated dollars and at Michigan's crown jewel hotel is one hell of a bargain in comparison.

You are more of a captive audience on the Island than you are at UM stadium.  You literally cannot leave the island to get beer.  It comes with the experience.

They charge $50 for a sixer of the Big Porch Ale? I remember the Meijer near Briarwood had a pyramid of that crap for weeks at like $6.99/pack when it was new ~2007. And it's not that good.

Have you had a chance to eat at the Mustang,  downtown ? I love that bar and grill. Cheer up you're on vacation enjoying one of Michigan's finest.
