That was 1995, My Name Is didn't come out until 1999.

That was a silly, bright, fun, video right when Big and Pac were at their height and before the late 90s were EVERYTHING turned into a video that looks like that or a song that sounded like that.

I never liked the song, but I respect the hell out of it being ahead of its time.

Even Missy, a pioneer...she didn't release Sock It 2 Me until 1997.

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death

I take a look at my life and realize theres not much left

Cuz I've been laughing and crying for so long that( Edit: it's blasting and laughing for so long. Apologies to the deceased)

Even my mama thinks that my mind is gone

RIP

Yes, besides the two of them,  'jmblue' and 'Louie C,' both frequently post and 'Yostal' has made a few posts in 2022.  But all the others in that thread have been absent for anywhere from 4 to 10 years.

Some long-forgotten usernames/userpics there for sure!

Wow.  I didn't realize he was that old either.  Definitely one of the faces of 90s pop rap music.

Hopefully he's just in paradise now sans the gangster (unless he wants to be)

He's also an expert on light rail, at least according to the Canberra Times:

“It's a very inexpensive form of transportation and very easy to get around, so yes, it's dope.”

But Coolio, a man with diverse credits including the creation of the Ghetto Gourmet cuisine, didn't stop there.

The dreadlocked rapper had some advice for Yarralumla residents worried their leafy suburb will be transformed into a “ghetto of crime and god knows what else” by the residential development of the former Canberra Brickworks.

“Don't worry about that because if you are it's probably already a ghetto,” he said.

“If you growing and coming up in the hood find a way to make it better or find a way to get out Shaka Zulu!!”

Got to see him perform (among many others) NYE in Miami after Michigan lost to FSU in 2016. The show lifted my spirits. He wore a hat with 2 of his signature braids coming out of the top. When he took off the hat he was Jordan-level bald except for those two braids.
