So we got Justice, but no Peace?

If by "worse" you mean even more awesome, then I would concur
|3 weeks 6 days ago||I like Stanford, Texas, or UCLA||
These are schools that I think are worthy of a long-term association with us, comparable in class and academics. Possibly Florida as well. FSU and LSU - no way. Oregon is comparable only in microbrews and weed.
|4 weeks 16 hours ago||well done!||
This little guy looks exactly like my law school roommate looked in 1978, except my roommate was definitely taller. Same eyes.

I don't really care what jerseyblue posts as lond as that picture shows up. Is she from Old Jersey maybe?
Edit - posted in wrong place because I am old
|5 weeks 6 days ago||A somewhat different experience.||
I actually don't remember my undergrad acceptance, probably because I wasn't that set on one school or another. But Law School acceptance was interesting.
I was a senior at UM, and had the LSAT score and GPA to be pretty selective myself. I wanted to stay in Ann Arbor, because obviously.And I had a grlfriend (now my wife of 32 years) here.
In the fall of 1977 I paid my money, wroe my essys, and applied to UM, Northwestern, and U of C. Winter of 78 rolled around, and I was accepted first at U of C and then at Northwestern. Classmates of mine had heard from UM and had gotten in, but I still had heard nothing.Then it was March, and it was time to make some plans, but I still hadn't heard.
So, I stopped into the Law School admissions office in office in Hutchins Hall. There was a counter and a nice lady at the counter. Behind the counter were several long tables with boxes and boxes of applications. Everything was, of course, on paper, and the boxes were alphabetized. I approached the counter and explained to the lady that I had applied months ago and was still waiting, and that I had to make a decision soon. She said to hang on, and she would check my application (apparently, the applications were considered, marked accepted, waitlist, or declined, and returned to the boxes). She checked the box where my application should have been and it was not there. She checked another box that could have made sense given my last name, and it was not there. I was not too happy, because I knew it had gotten there because I had dropped it off.
Finally, she actually got down on the floor and looked under and behind the tables. She then crawled under the table and got back up holding my application, which apparently had slid behind and fallen to the floor. We were both relieved, but I wondered how long I would have to wait to hear. She told me to hang on for a minute, and walked across the hall to ask the Director of Admissions how long it would be. When she came back after just a minute or 2, she said "You're in.".
So, keep your email recepits.

and props to the Jags for allowing it - I'm not sure all No Fun League teams would.
I'll be there watching my son and his buddy Denard step into the real world. Denard is everybody's buddy.

the plan would be to add name to the patch. But I might have dreamed it. Makes the most sense either way.
|9 weeks 1 day ago||Thank you||
Looks like a good, solid group. Hopefully at least one of the lefties is well-suited for the bullpen.
Am anxious to see what Coach Bakich can do with these guys.

I suck at this, but I am old and suck at many things that are not a nap
|9 weeks 5 days ago||Exactly correct||
As you say - "our children don't need our money or 'stuff' we could buy them, they need our time and guidance doing educational and fun stuff, or just hanging out together. michigan sports are a great way to do that."
Our children just need to know that they are the most important thing in our lives, and including them in the other things that are important is 1 of the best ways to do that. For about 6 years, I rarely played golf without taking at least 1 son with me. Since my kids have been born, so for the last 30 years, I can count on one hand the number of sporing events I have been to without at least 1 of them. I highly recommend this approach - maybe 1 day your kid will call with tickets in the players' section or a pass to the Ryder Cup. Glorious.

My wife and I are both alumni and we raised 3 kids as Michigan fans, watching lots on TV and attending the occasional football, basketball, or baseball game. Our daughter went to MSU, but for elementary ed, so okay. Both boys didn't apply anywhere but UM and it has been a blast enjoying their college years (from a safe distance) with them as they became Michigan men.
I won't bore you with all the Michigan athletic and academic experiences we shared, but this year's final four run really topped it off nicely as our youngest finishes up.
|10 weeks 1 day ago||Very grateful for the ride||
It is weird how little I am disappointed. It was so much fun throughout. I watched games with just my alum wife in our empty nest while texting with my sons and my brother, who are also alums, and we all just had so much fun enjoying these guys.
If anything, I am disappointed for them, but I just can't feel anythinig but grateful for teh players and coaching staff today, and a little sad it is over.
Also, I live in Spartyland, and so it has been just that much sweeter.

You guys all do great work and it is appreciated! Thanks for all you do. When does football start?

I remember somebody posting a complaint a few weeks ago about the writing on the front page. Well, this was beautifully written and much appreciated. Good luck and thanks for all you do.

Did Vogrich steal your puppy or something?
|11 weeks 14 hours ago||I don't think that's what was intended||
I haven't heard of anyone upset with Smotz, by all accounts he is a good guy and had legit reasons for his transfer. I think this is just an interesting juxtaposition that highlights for many of us that Matt handled things really well. He was in line to start or at least have a big role, and when that didn't happen he did all he could to help the team (the team, the team).
I am really happy that all the seniors are getting to experience a final four from a perspective that less than 60 kids per year get to see, and that none of us will ever know.
|11 weeks 16 hours ago||Air guitar?||
Not to be too nit-picky, but I believe that is an "Air-Cello". I think A.J. also played an air cello after goals this year.
Love me some Voggy! MIchigan Man personified.

The announcer in this video says that Crean is releasing a lot of "frustration". WTF is he frustrated? He would not be at IU without the problems they had. Even if he were, he would not have had the long honeymoon he had for a couple years since people understood it would take a while to get over the troubles.
Weird how some people think. I mean, would Beilein get in Steve Fisher's face? I think not.
