Really wish ESPN+ had the rights for this State Farm Showdown. $30 a month to join "FloBaseball" is pretty laughable.

On a positive note Clark Elliott earned that Cape Cod All-Star title and has not looked back since. The kid is mashing.

#17 TCU is playing at San Diego State on MLB Network.  Down 3-2 in the top of the ninth, TCU gets a lead-off walk, single, then the flood gates open for 3 runs (so far).  Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a lead off walk start a rally.

Yeah. I’d be really interested to see a study on outcomes following a leadoff walk versus, say, a first-pitch single.

The walk is revealing in a way the first-pitch single isn’t because it tells you more. It tells you that the pitcher either can’t throw his breaking stuff for strikes or can’t fool the hitter into expanding the zone. Either way, that means there are going to be fastballs over the plate for the guys coming up.

Huge bummer. The ball that glanced off the left fielder's glove in the 6th inning turned the tide, and in the same inning two runs scored by HBP and wild pitch. That was the inning. Otherwise we went toe to toe.

Agree with you, Old Blue. First game of the season against the #14 team in a home game for them (crowd was very loud for TT) and we played well. Can’t stand it when people denigrate the players. These guys are elite. I’d like to see any naysayer go stand on the mound in front of a crowd and attempt to do what they do.
