Best spot for meeting a ride after the Rose Bowl?

This is a question for Rose Bowl veterans. Hopefully the discussion will be useful to some readers.

Suppose you've arranged a post-game ride and that you're open to walking a couple of miles to meet that person.

Where would you direct the car? Due to numerous complaints from various Rose Bowl veterans (congestion and long waits at both ends) I've ruled out the shuttles and the area of Pasadena where they land. That leaves neighborhoods to the west, north, and east of the stadium.

I know that travel in some of those areas will be restricted to residents, so the idea would be to walk beyond those boundaries. Any recommendations?

Beautiful day in Pasadena means a walk will be fun. Have your car meet you at the CVS parking lot on N Lake Ave and E Mountain St. It’s about 2.5 miles East from the east parking area of the Rose Bowl and there’s a decent sidewalk the whole way including going under the freeway.  They could also meet you along your walk on E Mountain St if you coordinate things. Google maps can be your friend on this walk if you let it.

There’s no magic hack to this. It’s going to be a crazy mess. Just walk back to Pasadena with everyone else. Setup a meeting place at least a few blocks from the Parsons lot. If you’re ride has patience they can get there early and wait for you.
