Well there you go, that's why you're Magnus and I'm just a regular Joe. Thanks for the info. I'll cling to the belief that the receivers look awesome because they have a stud delivering them the ball.
|8 weeks 4 days ago||Ditto||
I was wondering the same thing. #5 would look pretty sharp in a winged helmet.

As a Vikes fan, I'm glad I don't have to wait too long to see who they select. With that said, I really hope they pass on a qb and pick up some talent on the defensive side. My wishlist:
1 - Mack (Not falling to them)
2 - Safety from Alabama (refuse to name him)
3 - Dennard (the other one)
They'll probably take a qb and I'll have to relive the Ponder experiment all over.

I have some ocean front property in Arizona I'd like to talk to you about...
|20 weeks 2 days ago||Maybe||
Maybe they should have tried jamming because if there was supposed to be safties over the top, they weren't very effective, dude was wide open on most of those highlights.
I know you're right, just think it's kind of pointless to evaluate when the reality is that elite level highschool talent is pretty much going to beat sorry defense no matter what they run out there.
To me, Ways looks like a big, pretty athletic, pretty fast receiver. That's good enough for me, hope he does great things for Michigan.
|22 weeks 1 day ago||I'll give a report||
I'll give a report if he comes through Spokane. I've posted before about seeing Terrance Taylor play for the Spokane Shock and I'll keep my eyes on the schedule and see if the Rattlers are coming to town this year.
My untrained eye will be able to tell if UM should have swept his grades under the rug and let him play.
Don't think there's any such thing as a 'No Fly Zone' in the AFL, it's pretty much just a 'Fly Zone'.
|22 weeks 4 days ago||I disagree||
I disagree. I think that what is human nature is getting away with whatever you can. If the refs called more pi's, they would play off more. The Chicago Bears have been playing this way for years, so much so that the Packers were said to be imitating them by holding receivers all the time. I'm sure people here remember hearing others complain about Woodson's playing style. My point is; people, not just NFL players, pretty much try to get away with as much as possible. I don't necessarily think the Seahawks would have lost more games, but they would have adjusted their playing style if they were getting called for more penalties.

Me being a dad, you just cracked me up! Thanks for making my evening (I'm out West) even better.
|29 weeks 4 days ago||Have you ever||
Have you ever been to a football practice? It's a lot of special teams practice and some 11 on 11 two hand touch.
I went a couple of years ago, it was cool to see the players up close and have free access to the stadium, but it is definitely not like a game. Not even close.

Sooooo does this mean Les Miles just got hired at Michigan?! I was just warming up to Hoke... bummer
|30 weeks 4 hours ago||My stance||
My stance... It's kind of a Bagwell meets Shefield meets Juan Pierre. Wide open with a lot of movement and warning track power :)
|30 weeks 8 hours ago||Not to question you stance, but||
Not to question your stance, but have you also chosen to boycott Michigan athletic events? Don't think this 'shameless greed' is solely found Hollywood.
I do agree with your agnst at the makers turning it into a trilogy, I just don't have your fortitude to not bend over and take it... three times!
|30 weeks 12 hours ago||From what I gather||
From what I gather, it seems like every coach would love to slap the red shirt on every recruit that signs his letter.
Now, my experience as a coach in the EA NCAA football real-life drama is that sometimes you have to dangle that "No Red Shirt" or "Early Playing Time" card in order to stock up on the elite talent. That is until you gain that ****** prestige, then it's all gravy and highschool studs practically throwing themselves at you.
|30 weeks 1 day ago||Wow||
Wow, we have pretty much the same team, and issues. Morris and Bernard are enough to drive a man to drink. Was doing okay till Rogers went down, since then its been a sad string of Keenum, Flynn and Palmer. Just kept my head above water long enough to sneak into the playoffs and am now just waiting for the Manning guillotine to fall...

I feel your fantasy pain. I'm facing a team with Manning, Moreno, Decker and Keenan Allen. Hoping for either a sluggish short week performance or a natural desaster.

Got duped by another fake punt! There's a reason the term 'Couged It' is used on a daily basis here in the Inland Northwest. Just terrible...
|36 weeks 1 day ago||So...||
So are you upset that UM doesn't use the same tactics or just trying to make sure everyone knows where you stand?
Best case - You're right and the NCAA doesn't do anything about it and you're still bitter
Worst case - You're wrong and look like a petty fan who cares too much about the decision making of highschoolers
|40 weeks 22 hours ago||Not really an idiot||
You're correct that NFL rosters are full of not Alabama players, but I would stand by my argument that they can sell their percieved NFL pipeline status to potential comits. This is from last years draft...
|40 weeks 1 day ago||Well...||
Not that I necessarily disagree with your statement, but maybe they just want to win and go to the NFL. Bama doesn't have to work very hard to sell that line.
|41 weeks 2 days ago||Thanks Dudeness||
Thanks Dudeness, I also work with kids. I appreciate your offering a solution. There will always be evil in our world, but we can make a difference. Not to sound like a PSA, but few things in life have the lasting benifits of investing in the lives of children, the child's life is improved as well as the adult and society as a whole.
Good suggestions for volunteer opportunities, I would also add that pretty much any church would love to have help with their children's programs. (assuming you can pass a background check)

|1 year 1 week ago||Defense? Wha...||
I live in Spokane and have seen TT play a couple of times this year. You're right in your feeling towards the defense, or lack there of. From what I gather, the goal of an arena team's defense is to just give your offense an extra possesion or two. Whether that comes from a stop (not likely) or a turnover doesn't really matter.
As for Taylor's game, not really sure, my kids got pretty excited when they saw him introduced on the big screen and that he was from Michigan. He's a big dude, that's for sure. Doesn't really look good for his NFL dreams, this is at least his second season with the Shock.
The thing I like about the arena games are seeing the guys from around the country that are still klinging to the dream. If you're a recruitnick you'll have a blast seeing guys like Ryan Perilloux, Xavier Lee, Adrian Mcpherson, Chris Davis, Rohan Davey... You'll see a trend of highly rated FSU guys on almost every team. There's a receiver on the Shock named Adron Tennell who played for Oklahoma, when they introduce him they list his highschool star ranking during his bio, (#3 WR in the class of 2006) kind of funny.
If you are not a fan of music pumped in at a level that requires ear plugs for anyone under 10, then I would suggest you stay home and try to catch a game on the NFL network. It's entertaining but not a legitimate meal for a real football appetite
|1 year 2 weeks ago||Just a thought||
Maybe we need to reasses what we define as 'having everything'. That sentiment seems to come up a lot in cases of famous, or famously rich, people making horrible choices. Maybe there's more to life than fame and fortune.
|1 year 2 weeks ago||I agree||
I agree, it is a shame. However, from what I see, he has a history of making bad choices. At some point 'bad choices' turn into a lifestyle that is is bound to have real consequences. My prayers are with the family of the slain man. Am waiting to hear what Mr. Hernandez has to say to them.
|1 year 2 weeks ago||Not a lot||
Not a lot of grace being shown on a Saturday night. Not sure about Gabe, sounds like cheesecake though, but I did see Terrance Taylor last night at the Spokane Shock area league game. He's a large human!
