We just lost to Penn State... I don't even know anymore... Snowflakes

Because...yeah. Edit: I didn't make this....interesting....thread title. Mine was a bit more straightforward. From Seth's internal monologue below, I'm guessing him.

It was embarrasing.  But it was a meaningless regular season game.  Better to have a wake up call now when less is on the line than like last year in the tournament

And yeah, a long tournament run cures all ills. But after losing to Penn State, I'm not sure anything less than a Final Four heals all wounds. Elite 8 and might be breaking even. I'm not sure Sweet 16, which should be a given with this team really makes up for tonight. And regular season title > B1G Tournment title. Regular season determines a champ; the tourney is just a money grab.

Just seem the team gave up tonight. Not a good sign as we approach the tourney! It still possible to win out but this team will have to play with a lot more effort! I could see both MSU and iU beating us at home fairly easily if we don't play harder! Games like this make me wish spring football was here! But I'm still hoping that the team can recover after such a horrific loss!

Sums up how I feel.  I don't know how much more I can yell at the TV to block out and play some damn D!  Every team outhustles us.....every one.  What the hell?  It is McGary and THJ playing with emotion and that is it.  A whole game of "Aw shucks" defense.

Remember that these are kids, most of them can't even drink.  It is inevitable that there will be some growing pains.  How about we put together a highlight reel of all the stupid mistakes mgobloggers made in their twenties and then we broadcast it on television.

You can be sad that we lost - it hurts, I know - but think about how you would feel if someone  was saying those things about your kid.

i cant imagine what the team is thinking right now - just gotta MIB mind erase this one.

also, i think the team is calling themselves the same stuff this guy is saying, probably worse.  they arent kids - they are grown men who know how to take the heat when they lose to the worst team in the conference.  no need to coddle them.

What i would question would be beilein defenses in his coaching career - has this guy put up elite type defenses? I am questioning the man's defensive coaching ceiling without any basis here but he may not have a solid defensive mind.

Stauskas was the worst offender. 12 points on 9 shots does not make up for his deficiencies on the other end of the floor. What happened to the swag?

I want to say it's time for him to come off the bench instead of start, but who do we put in his place...?

I think Belein needs to be seriously questioned.  He has completely lost this team, and the effort on defense is beyond embarassing.

I dunno.  3-4 in the month of February.  A complete whooping at the hands of Sparty, poor coaching decisions down the stretch that led to an OT loss to Wisconsin, barely and uninspiringly hanging on at home against the worst team in the B1G and now, when at least a share of the Big Ten title was in our control, we just gave PSU their first conference win of the season when we were up by 15 with 10 minutes left.

There's an immense amount of talent on this team, enough to win a national championship I dare say.  Understandbly, any team is going to struggle in this conference,  however, the way we tumbled so suddenly and in such apathetic fashion is inexcusable.  To say Beilein has lost this team (to a very mild extent) is not as far fetched as it seems.  A team doesn't just go from #1 on Feb 3rd to by the end of the month having 4 more losses, including one against the worst team in the conference, unless mental mistakes are occuring by all members of the team, coaches and players alike.

Now, do I think Beilein lost this team? No.  From what I heard from sources directly connected to the program, they've been lost since day one;  At each other's throats and not getting along by the time the freshmen first rolled in.  That lack of comraderie and morale is finally affecting them as their pure talent can no longer coast them through games this late in the season.  They need to wake up and decide if they want to be champs.  We'll know on Sunday what they decided to do.

Absolutely no rotations on defense. Morgan is the only one who even looks to have a clue on defense. Pathetically bad. Stauskas needs to sit whether that's in favor of Caris(who brings good defense) or McGary who would give us two bigs and more intensity, I do not know. But either way he needs to come off the bench.

Well, it's a good thing that's how it works.  Since we lost now, it's guaranteed that we won't lose in three weeks.  I don't know why every team doesn't follow this awesome strategy.

Maybe losing this game and looking like crap during the past few weeks is a good indicator that we will lose in three weeks.
