Balas is busy rewriting the …

Balas is busy rewriting the 'NIL and Warde sucks' article for the fifth time in a month and making sure he lists every possibility he can imagine so when actual news breaks he can say: "as we've been telling you for days now.."

If he ends up wrong then: "the info was accurate at the time we told you, but things changed."

Mike Williams is getting cut…

Mike Williams is getting cut, Bosa could get cut or traded, and they have levers they can pull on restructured contracts for older players. They are going to be moving plenty of pieces around.

Not trying to be mean, but…

Not trying to be mean, but the thought process of people you find on sports forums can be hilarious. Do you really think Jim and staff aren't going to be cutting some significant  guys and restructuring contracts this offseason to execute their vision for improvement?

"Oh no I guess we can't improve our OL guys, looks like we'll just be running out the same team as last season with some jazzed up playbook due to the cap space limitations." -Jim, apparently

They really only need to fix…

They really only need to fix a couple spots on the OL through FA or the draft. RBs are cheap in the NFL and Herbert will thrive passing over a heavier box.

He's his own offensive side…

He's his own offensive side. He has an entire arsenal of different base offenses by now and plays he takes with everywhere he goes.

The Chargers aren't running any HB screens this season, I'll tell you that.

Not true at all. Go back and…

Not true at all. Go back and watch the Stanford/VT 2011 Orange Bowl. Jim used the same pre-snap action to absolutely throttle VT's defense.

Clemons is probably gone if…

Clemons is probably gone if we're being honest.

He broke his tib/fib, done…

He broke his tib/fib, done for the season but easier to come back from than an ACL.

Why do people keep saying…

Why do people keep saying this? Couldn't he have just buzzed all his hair off before the Michigan game on Saturday?

Van Der Plas is an excellent…

Van Der Plas is an excellent 3 pt shooter, his percentage was only low because he had an enormous green light and will pull from absolutely anywhere once he crosses half court. I miss Big Silky being on the Bobcats already.

I am 100% sure Corum is…

I am 100% sure Corum is getting an MRI and that DE has a hand injury which will not be completely healed by next Saturday.

It's a hamstring injury that…

It's a hamstring injury that he re-injured halfway through the season. Has to be pretty severe to have ended his season.

This guy complains more than…

This guy complains more than CJ Stroud!

He's fine, they just don't…

He's fine, they just don't trust him as much in pass protection.

He was certainly hobbled…

Can't tell if you're trying to tell me I'm wrong but he was certainly hobbled when they ran out of the tunnel.

He was dressed but if he was game-ready, he would have seen some snaps yesterday when the pass rush wasn't getting home at all.

He's also just not very good…

He's also just not very good. Bell is clearly a better punt returner and Henning missed some huge lanes when they gave him opportunities on the ground. He is an obvious transfer candidate with Cabana filling that role immediately as long as he shows up above 190 lbs.

Edit: He's a former 4* in his 3rd year of playing time and has 384 career yards rushing and receiving combined. He also publicly retweets complaints on playing time. Doesn't bode well for his future with the younger talent developing behind him.

Schoon will be back.

Trente…

Corum is likely getting an MRI today. I know Harbaugh was optimistic with his status but I'm skeptical.

Edwards will play but has an injured hand, so he might not be as effective in the passing game.

Schoon will be back.

Trente Jones is already back but is now second string.

Morris could play but is still limping and won't be 100%. Not sure if the staff prefers to play a limited Morris over other healthy options.

NHG is out for the season.

Hopefully Keegan is back.

This site loves Johnson for…

This site loves Johnson for some reason. Check the season preview for a ridiculously optimistic projection. The truth is that he's an above average route runner, an excellent blocker, but lacks the top end speed and can't catch.

If you are too slow to be a deep threat and don't have the handles to be a possession WR, then you can't be good at the position. He's basically Great Value Darboh.

Quote from offensive preview, which like, comeonman:

"With all due respect to Ronnie Bell, we’re starting with Cornelius Johnson, who is tracking towards 1st round pick."

Oil industry is booming…

Oil industry is booming thankfully!

Some commentators are better…

Some commentators are better suited for blowout games. I'm a big fan of drawing Uncle Brando for this type of matchup. I already know all the Michigan depth players and don't crave detailed insight to why Michigan is pasting a tier football team. I want Uncle Brando getting way out in the weeds and getting real weird with it for maximum entertainment.

Nothing is more regionally…

Nothing is more regionally or culturally appropriate than listening to Beth Mowins call a Northwestern game against another B10 west opponent hungover as shit in the early slot on a crisp October Saturday.

RG3 was great on the call…

RG3 was great on the call. If you are going to get ESPN's third tier of folks then he's one of the best available.

been here since the weeks…

been here since the weeks leading up to the 2005 Rose Bowl. feels like this might be the most optimistic i've ever been about a team in that entire timespan spent on the blog. thanks again for the content!

I'm not buying CJ first…

I'm not buying CJ first round draft potential at this point.

He's had plenty of opportunities and is still trending as Great Value Darboh.

I mean he went 0/5 from the…

I mean he went 0/5 from the field and didn't score a single point in 15 mins of play. I think it's fair to start worrying a bit about his development, especially when we brought in a combo guard transfer who would have likely started at the 2 if Collins hadn't dipped.

This is the dude who was…

This is the dude who was threatening coaches at Bama. Said he was going to retrieve a firearm from his apartment after they told him he was getting suspended. The entire Bama team hated him, same with his teammates at Houston.

Surprised it's not mentioned…

Surprised it's not mentioned in the post, but he's teammates with Julian Sayin (#2 overall QB prospect for '24 class, Georgia leads). If Georgia ends up pursuing Jadyn Davis as their primary option, don't be surprised if Michigan turns it up on Sayin's recruitment.

pack of heaters washed down…

pack of heaters washed down with whiskey was their nutrition program.

Agree, I'd say a better…

Agree, I'd say a better highest end comp would be Melvin Gordon or Kamara.

I disagree, we are always…

I disagree, we are always hearing about how great Johnson is going to be but it just hasn't transferred to the field.

Darboh was an incredibly underrated possession WR who went for 2,062 yds and 14 TDs in 3 seasons. Johnson has 940 yds and 7 TDs cumulative over the past 3 seasons which is basically Darboh's SR season stat line alone.

I don't really like the DJ…

I don't really like the DJ Turner comp to Brandon Watson. Maybe a Boubacar Cissoko without the off field issues.

TE version of Jr Hemmingway.

TE version of Junior Hemingway.

Maybe even Ertz if he really blows up.

Anthony should be Adrian…

Anthony should be Adrian Arrington but fast.

Oh no, the old clown guy who posts the same Jennifer Lawrence gif all the time can't admit that his True Crimes analysis doesn't make sense :(

So it's easily accessible…

So it's easily accessible and highly traveled?

Yeah let's push a kid in a river and hope no one sees or hears him struggling. And hopefully he can't swim. Let's totally take a huge risk like that for an underage college kid's wallet. There's probably AT LEAST $7 in his wallet!

You watch too much TV.

You watch too much TV.

River banks are not hotspots for opportunistic crimes like robbery.

It's highly unlikely…

It's highly unlikely murderers are just out there casually waiting by rivers for victims to sneak up on and push in.

I think it's reasonable to…

I think it's reasonable to say with over 95% certainty we know what really happened.

The Rams and GB are feeling…

The Rams and GB are feeling the most heat as they are the most invested at this point. I'd really like to see GB get blasted.

Also, are the ads on this site horrendous right now for anyone else? I'm (on mobile) getting ones that you can't close and they block off like 40% of the screen..

People love dunking on the…

People love dunking on the Gruden contract but the Raiders were just ahead of the times. 100 million over 10 years is only slightly more than Mel Tucker's 95 million over 10 years.

Orji is basically a Chris…

Orji is basically a Chris Relf clone. Dude could absolutely play some meaningful snaps at Michigan and I hope they design a read option package for him if we continue to turn the starting QB run run game off.

He was born with a…

He was born with a coarctation of his aorta. He received a stent during childhood, which then needed to be expanded as he got older. It was determined that all the risks associated with condition were not fixable via surgery so he medically retired.

I'm not a doctor but I do play one on eharmony. Plenty of things could have happened since his retirement. Possibly he screened in for blood thinners minimizing risk of stroke, maybe his stent was expanded enough and his prognosis was better than originally thought, etc.

I'm not saying he needs Mel…

I'm not saying he needs Mel Tucker money, but he should be compensated at least on par with the top 50% of the Big Ten.

Okay but when you have Mel…

Okay but when you have Mel Tucker getting an enormous contract while Harbaugh is taking Michigan to the playoffs, it's still the right thing to do.
