I dunno, unknown might be better.
Coolidge was a racist motherfucker. Seriously, in the south, his name on voting ballots would be spelled "Kal Koolidge". Kloset Klansman if you ask me... |

i dunno. almost nobody schedules non-conferences games against conference opponents. the schedule is what the B1G gave us, so that's what we got.
not that big of a deal imo |

Don't forget to get your employer to match any donations you make (if they have a corporate giving program in place).
My donation of 31.29 (in honor of Phillip Brabbs, Cancer Kicker) just became 62.58!
For those you who care, the EIN for the charity is 30-0130066. Should help with the matching process. |
| 2 weeks 22 hours ago | Before the 2001 Citrus Bowl |
Before the 2001 Citrus Bowl (at least I think it was that year, may have been 1999), Jackson had an opening voiceover, where he detailed the days games (it was back when they had the Citrus, then the Rose, then the Fiesta on ABC, back to back to back). He finished with a line which was something along the lines of: "Any man who watches this much football on one day should be a dead man. Call the coroner!"
I still remember the punchline over 12 years later.
Even my mom, who secretly hated both football and me watching football because it was something which distracted me from schoolwork (I've grown up and she's come around since then...), listened to it and thought it was hilarious. And after I indeed watched all 3 games back to back to back, she told me as I was heading up the stairs to my bedroom, she told me she was going to call the coroner. It might seem odd, but that one brilliant line by Jackson probably helped bring my mom some understanding, i.e. we guys know how annoying our love for football can be, but we do it anyways, because we love it. |

| 3 weeks 22 hours ago | im in tech. i graduated with |
im in tech. i graduated with an a degree Engineering and Applied Sciences from a top school a couple years back. for job info/career building/networking type of stuff, i've found that alumni networks, friends, co-workers (past and present) are the best way to go about this. also, linkedin is actually really helpful with this, because recruiters use it to find you. i get several emails every month asking me to interview, etc. just make sure you have a fleshed-out, accurate, and attractive profile. for news, funny stuff, etc, i read wired, engadget, the verge, etc if you want specific, technical stuff, look into journals published in your particular field.
facebook and twitter are pretty useless for this stuff, unless you have tons of followers or are a real rpo. i'd also stay away from mixing work and personal social networks. cuz anything there will be found. |

| 4 weeks 2 days ago | yah, the idea is to take away |
yah, the idea is to take away tickets from people who CHRONICALLY dont use their seats. that way, you can allow people who actually want to go to games to go to games. |
| 4 weeks 2 days ago | but if thats the case, they |
but if thats the case, they can limit the student section to rows 1-80 or something, and sell off the rest of the tickets. MOAR PEOPLE AT GAMES! |
| 4 weeks 2 days ago | Or how about someone like |
Or how about someone like myself, who, during my college years (I went to school in Pasadena, as my avatar hints), would travel back for a game (or catch a game before term started - quarter system, I know...), and would want to watch with my high school buddies, most of whom happened to be Michigan students. Even though I'd have a validated student ticket (completely legal yall), I'd still have to get smuggled into the individual sections so I could stand next to my homeys. And then we'd have to fight and struggle for every inch of space cuz nobody was where they were supposed to be anyways! I see it more as deregulation. Regarding people cutting in line - you better believe that students will police themselves, and vociferously eject those who try to cheat. Yeah, there'll need to be some enforcement staff at first, but things will settle down. And if there ARE serious concerns, just ask the folks at Paternoville how they've managed to do things. |
| 4 weeks 2 days ago | none of those alternative |
none of those alternative systems ever worked.
at least this way, you can actually sit anywhere, instead of having to scurry away from ushers. also, yay for being able to go to games with friends instead of having to sneak people into sections. |
| 4 weeks 2 days ago | change that needed to be made |
change that needed to be made at some point in time. i see it as better sooner than later. some folks were going to get screwed either way, but at least this is better for the overall gameday experience (i.e. for those at the game, those watching, the players, the university, etc).
sucks for those folks who've stuck with the system until now, expecting to be rewarded. to you, i say life sucks. i'd be pissed too. but think of it this way - at least you lucky fuckers get to go to every home game, unlike myself. i get maybe one game a year. maybe. maybe now, those of us watching on TV wont be as embarrassed to see gaping chunks of the student section empty at kickoff. |

I do remember eating pizza at the Buddy's downtown back when I was a kid. My dad had taken me and a buddy to the Detroit Science Center (woo Imax). The pizza was absolutely awesome. But it was a lot like the old school Cottage Inn pizzas. |
