Would You Call in A Bomb Threat For Your Friend?

I need to find some ride or die friends!  What an idiot.  Is this what they mean when they say it just means more?

At the risk of sounding stupid...

When my oldest was in high school, a classmate called in a bomb threat because he wanted a day off.  The high school was very close to the middle school - close enough that the middle school kids could see all the high school kids in the football stadium stands.  They quickly learned why.

THE NEXT DAY... a middle school kid called in a bomb threat so he could get the day off.

My son and his friends thought this was a good way to get the day off.

This should be OT (unless you are suggesting this as a strategy for an upcoming UM game, which....

would be a very illegal yet very interesting notion if the game was near the end of regulation.  Other games have been called to an early end due to weather - would a bomb threat get equivalent consideration?)

Snark aside - it is a legitimate question of how the postponement of a game due to bomb threat (or other type of human-induced external game stoppage) would be treated.  Do they address it on a case-by-case basis or uniformly refuse to allow a game to end from a security threat (to prevent encouraging repeat events)?

I doubt they would stop the game for a bomb threat unless the authorities found it to be very credible--which most bomb threats are not.

The bomb-threat-to-bomb ratio over the last 40 years in this country is probably several tens of thousands to zero.  Yes, people have set off pipe bombs and there is that famous Michigan alumnus who mailed a bunch of them, but as far as I know there was no specific bomb threat associated with them.

That is a bad-ass friend.  Anyone willing to go to prison on what could potentially be considered "terrorism" charges to help a buddy is one loyal (if dumber than dumb) MFer.

"a multi-agency investigation, which led to the suspect being identified within minutes and arrested soon thereafter".  This would imply that they called in the bomb threat from their own phone which is next level stupid.
