Les Miles stepping down?
If it's true, it doesn't really effect Michigan except for coaches we could potentially poach.
Sam McGaw @sammcgaw There are rumors that LSU head football coach Les Miles will step down on Monday after allegedly having an affair with a student. Hmm..
Jacob J Mayer @jacobjmayer Rumors going around that Les Miles is resigning Monday. Haven't seen anything to back it up, but Tigerdroppings admins are working overtime
Doubt it
me in the least. This is (probably) not the first time this happened to Les. There were rumors when Les was a student here. Then there is the whole Les enjoying the company of a Head Coach's wife and was banned from said campus for life.
I would guess his sex drive is over the top to the point that he cannot control himself. Boy would I love to see him in the Coaches Box as our OC. Come home Les.
how to read English? I never said I "believed" any of the "rumors". Rumors are just that: rumors. They, by definition, are "stories about doubtful truth".
Les has never admitted to any rumors that I know of and he has not been convicted in a court of law.
Back in 2011 I would have let Miles sleep with my wife if he came to michigan... not so much anymore...
That said, I think a head coach's character effects their teams and at the college level I would want a coach who has some sort of ethics (contrary to my view two years ago)... I would still take him as a coordinator though.
jdon
Now that was funny.
Wait you mean that when Les was a student here, there were rumors that he was having sex with college students? What a sick, sick man.
Only coach's wives. Apparently, he was quite the ambitious young man.
His offenses at LSU have been garbage. Then factor in what type of talent he gets, and his offenses have been inexcusably horrid.
Not to mention the guy's an ass hat...
There was a time when we did really well with Louisiana recruits.
Yep. That's Fred Jackson's home state. He used to land about a recruit a year from there. It's been much tougher sledding recently (although we did at least land Dileo).
Before LSU basically locked down the state, Louisiana was a very high priority for us. Anthony Thomas, Chris Howard, Leroy Hoard, James Hall, Ron Bellamy and Adam Kraus were some key guys we got from there.
The TE committed to LSU is planning a Michigan visit.
Did we just find our D-Line coach?
no, why would hoke and co. want someone who stepped down for allegedly sleeping with a student. thats just kinda stupid
Maybe he ended up in the hospital that one night because it had been 4 hours...
It sucks that you can't edit your own comments.
EDIT: damnit, you can edit your comments
or Texas.
I would love to hire him but I don't think Brandon would want the negative backlash from it.
I didn't know Lloyd Carr's wife went to LSU.
They have a lot of quality assistant coaches on staff so we might be able to get one of them if we can't get Les.
May be can hire their D-Line coach. LSU alway's seem to have a good aggressive DL...much is due to talent but it looks like some good coaching.
Good lookin' out, Bill Martin.
^ game. set. match.
This is the most underrated comment I've seen all year.
