Best UM Tatt
With all the focus on tatts in C-bus, got thinking about ink in Ann Arbor. What's your favorite UM tattoo that you've ever seen? I personally loved that Michael Phelps wore the block M when he made Olympic history: http://www.tattoojohnny.com/wiki/michael_phelps_olympic_celebrity_tattoo
GO BLUE!
lamarr woodleys wolverine tat
Troy Woolfolk's Wolverine paw prints!
they might be wolf prints.
Yup, could be. But for the sake that he is a Wolverine Ill roll with Wolverine prints.
EDIT: This was supposed to be in response to "Lamarr Woodley's"
Hugh Jackman is throwing the reverse "shocker"
Hugh is throwing up a "one in the pink, TWO in the stink" shocker...very tough to pull off outside of Hollywood (or the Valley).
Edit: just realized you caught the "reverse" technique...carry on then
The competition isn't for best, its for second place, Lamarr wins hands down. Of course If i tried that, it would be the skinniest wolverine ever... Must be nice to have a 30+ inch canvas to work with.
Fun Fact: Lamar's bicep is bigger than my head.
hands down
The finget stache is amazing! I couldnt stop laughing the first time I seen it. Very original.
Very original it is not. There are thousands of kids with these things.
I stand corrected then. Let me rephrase my statement. Its the first one Iv ever seen. Still love it.
Can't find a great picture of it but Jake Long's block M tattoo is pretty awesome.

I've always though that if I were to ever get a tatt it'd be a Michigan one. Any bloggers out there do this? Pics? Advice?
(1) Desmond Heisman pose in the end zone
(1a) Charles Woodson' outstretched arm gathering a superhuman INT against Sparty.
(2) Ball lauching off Zoltan's foot into orbit.
I don't think I'd ever make it about a particular player. It'd be the team. Block M obvious candidate.
I've got a block M on my right leg and I've been contimplating more.
Some random thoughts:
HAIL on my right shoulder/upper arm
VICTORS on the inside bicep on the right side/VALIANT on the inside left bicep
Conqu'ring Heroes on my left leg
Also, I'd like "Michigan Stadium" scriped across the top of my back, using the exact same font as you see at the top of the press box.
Hail would be sweet. Michigan Stadium in true font also sounds interesting...
I have a block M on my back. I want to get "Those Who Stay" in script above it. Really stoked about it.
What about the university seal? More urbane (yes, I know, we're talking about a tatoo) and less obvious at first glance. And it looks bad ass. Would require a skilled artist, though, due to the level of detail.
I'd feel like a bit of a poser since I only attended a fake UofM (Dearborn). The Block M can be viewed as general obsessed fanhood. Having to tell people "no i didn't attend the actual university" when they see me inked with the seal would get old quickly! :)
there are tons of alumni from the satellite campuses (Flint, Dearborn). We are all one in the same, we do not differentiate. A U of M alumni is always a U of M alumni.
Blue block M outlined in Maize on my left arm. It needs touched up, but i think it came out pretty good. I dont know how to upload a picture or I would.
Depending on skin tone, yellow/maize just does not show up well on skin. A couple cousins of mine got yellow ribbon tattoos on their feet which have since faded into oblivion. I have a Hunter S. Thompson "six fingered fist" on my upper arm that is outlined in yellow and you can barely see it anymore.
My suggestion to anyone contemplating anything Michigan, get maize outlined in blue. Otherwise it will just blend in with the skin.
Are you calling me yellow?
Only if that means you have a delorean, an operational flux capacitor and some spare plutonium lying around.
Koger has a great U-M Tat on the back of his shoulder and down into his back. Its a lot of tribal designs all centered around a large Block M
Are you his girlfriend or something?
Sounds expensive.
I was doing a google search on Jake Long's tattoo, and guess what mgoblog thread I was able to dig up from '08- Pryor's Tats...little did we know how Mr. Pryor was paying for these back then and that two years later, OSU would get destroyed for this
Read the comments from the OSU fans in this thing. Lot's of talk about how "grounded" TP is, and how he's not a "world revolves around me" kind of guy.

feel like I just saw Michael Phelps' crotch. Gross.
Not a very "guy" place to put them. He couldn't have put them on his chest....or biceps or something?
But who among us could resist the advances of a U-M olympian, even with hip-accenting tats?
I have the rose bowl logo with the michigan helmet on my upper arm to commerate my trip to the 05 rose bowl.
I worked with a guy back in the day that had a Block M on his calf with a Nike symbol in the middle. I haven't seen him since those days but I'm assuming he was very upset about the switch to Adidas.
I like Justin Turner's because :
1) I do think it's a pretty cool design
2) It's a reminder that tat's are permanent so you need to be sure your really want it before getting drunk and having it done.
3) It's the same thing as Don's avatar. Which makes it awesome.
I wonder how he paid for all those tats?
I have a couple friends with simplistic Block M + Wings on their shoulder/bicep. One of them is the fourth result in a GIS of 'michigan block m tattoo'
I always envisioned getting the Maize Block "M" on my arm with a rose thorn band intertwined and for every Rose Bowl we went to I would add another rose. Haven't done it yet though...
Block M on his deltoid. That is classic.
I am not going to cease to be amazed by the amount of idiotic threads it will generate on this board.
